Well, if you've got more in you, another one would be great, because this video is just art with how effortless it makes the boss fights seem. And I learned quite a lot as well. Some of the Consort strafes especially were very unexpected. He sticks to you like glue after all.
Stuff like this is ALWAYS appreciated by me. I'm on console so no CE for me... 😒 I also just don't have the time I used to so anything that cuts down on the learning time is greatly appreciated. I honestly think that what you guys do for the community is really under appreciated. Thanks Ooloh.
I knew of the first Radahn strafe, and suspected you could strafe his grab (because of its bad tracking) and the pontiff combo (you can do it in DS3 as well). I'm pleasantly surprised to know you can dodge Messmer's fireball from an aggressive position, which normally has a stupid amount tracking. I wanted to test it myself but I don't know how to force an enemy to do the same move over and over again so I didn't bother. 3:08 Crouching isn't necessary here, it's a Dragonslayer Armour moment if you go frame by frame .
@@AlvaroOvelar-o3p technically with Malenia you needed to understand one particular move and the rest of the boss was a complete joke. This one after a nerf doesn't even have a broken ability. But it doesn't stop people from gaining style points like this)
Learning how to absolutely stunt on these bosses makes me appreciate their high difficulty. With a higher skill ceiling, there's more skill expression and more incentives for player creativity than in previous games.
@@vazazell5967 That's not really true, there being skill expression just requires there to be mastery beyond that which is necessary. This video is showing skill expression, there are other, far easier ways to mitigate these attacks.
Now that I’m watching this video. It makes me realise how similarly fluid PCR’s moveset is to Godfrey’s (makes sense, lore-wise). A lot of the methods of dodging both bosses require jumping and strafing, which made Godfrey in particular an incredibly fluid boss. P.S. being able to parry The Consort’s clone attacks is just so badass. It reminds me of Malikeths parry, but if malikeths parry was more based on skill and ability rather than timing
ooloh, maybe you won't read this but I wanted you to try raptors of the mist on most of Radahn's attacks, almost every single attack he does, you can dodge by using raptors, and since you crouch with the attack, you won't get hit by them, and the best part is that it won't consume stamina
Where were you when I was so desperate to finish the lvl1 +0 no blessings run…, really had to discover somethings on my own, please we need more, even if it wasn’t the dlc, thanks♥️
Actually Messmer has more than 3 parryable attacks. One of wich I exploited the most is the fast slash he does after covering the spear on flame. Then I discovered a second extra one while watching LilAggy's only parry-deflect challenge, where he parried the second in the two combo attack that Messmer does to make distance from you (not sure if the first is parryable too, but in the video he did it consistently by deflecting the first and parrying the second)
Nice you saw that messmer has more than three parries. He has quite a few actually, some just have very precise or unusual timings. Ive seen loads of people saying he has only three parryable noves. It's funny how rapidly misinformation can spread. No fault of your own of course. Just like many people have been calling the fire knights women for some reason, when they're actually men. Or calling Jori and the inquisitiors men, when they're actually women. Funny old world lol. Cool video. A lot of the strafes on Radahn I didn't know, as well as the clone attack parries. The mid combo turn on Rellana's beams was sick. Love these bosses. So many great fights in this DLC. Not only fun but incredibly cinematic and cool as well. Messmer being my favourite Fromsoft boss.
3:08 this Messmer attack is also parryable. Furthermore, it's possible to parry his grab attack. You just need to jump in 1 second as soon as he initiates his grab attack.
ok that's explain why messmer is my favorite boss fight you get what you see, to make his hitbox bigger they add the fire unlike radahn janky air hitbox
Play the boss like a monkey! ! Messmer's crouching scene was surprising. I didn't expect that Latarn could have so many moves and only had to run.😮 Shield and rebellion in Merssmer is really fun! ! ! I also had a shot with no injuries, but I felt like the shot was terrible🥲 Level 2 Messemer's Turn Slash can also be used shield and rebellion
I now understand why the devs made him this hard and thought it was balanced. It was because most of his moves can be parried, but the visual and the fact that he almost one shot you everytime in second phase give you enough fear not to try to.
This is why the nerfs shouldnt have happened at all. Radahn was perfectly fine minus the fact that you can face tank him with a shield, he should have gotten a damage/poise buff when attacking shields.
Personally I'm mixed on the frame trap but I understand why people complained. There were many strategies to deal with it (deflect tear, blocking, backstep talisman, even fat rolling apparently, and probably a couple more). You could even dodge it entirely and consistently with light and medium roll by hugging his right knee and rolling left. It didn't even do that much damage, you could eat the damage and replenish more than you received with one flask. But at the same time players don't like attacks that feel like a total wall. Waterfowl Dance is also a "wall" move in my opinion. You either adapt to it in some way or you lose. If you're already struggling with the rest of his moveset, you're probably below full HP and it's going to end you each time, or you're going to lose too many flasks before you can kill him. I found it acceptable as an ultra high skill ceiling final boss (like the hidden super bosses in JRPGs) but I think it's asking too much of the average player.
Don't even try to defend him. Consort Radahn was a trash boss that was made for the sake of continuing the "FromSoft DLC final bosses are the hardest!!!!" trend. When you make a hard boss with love and enjoyment, you get Slave Knight Gael. But when you make a boss with the "I'm going to make sure nobody can ever beat this boss" mindset, you get Consort Radahn.
No, stop showing perfectly reasonable methods of beating the final boss of the hardest DLC in the hardest fromsoft game! They're going to nerf him again!
@@vazazell5967 it’s not “unreasonable” because you don’t really need cheats. These games are built on the idea of “trial and error.” Just try shit out and maybe you’ll find a cool new way to avoid a boss’ attacks. Doesn’t matter if you die, at lest you’re trying to be creative😅

Poor Radahn is in the community's "I understand it now" humiliation phase.
Just like malenia
Not really, he is still dogshit for being te first ever Fromsoft boss that's impossible to perform no-roll hitless challenge.

I’ve seen someone strafe Radahn’s clones following the rock sling in phase 2. But it’s extremely precise.
Do you have a link?
@ Yes, YT makes it hard to post links so I’ll post it on your discord
Ongbal is going to have a field day with the impossible parries.
What a monster! And thanks for this little soft background music through the combat mechanics it was cool it changes from the always epic music.
Radahn is actually the only Elden ring boss that can’t be no-hit without rolling.
So the semi strafes are a nice surprise.
You probably meant without s, because it is entirely possible to never roll and use quickstep instead
The things you can learn with Godmode on is crazy! Would have so much fun testing this
HELLO MY HERO YOU ARE HERE TOO 😁
When to learn the boss you need to first learn to cheat, what did from mean by this
Now some dork will copy your moves and say to his friends "Radahn is soo easy"
0:29 This boss so ridiculous, I almost believed that footage of him suddenly being in the air after that flame slash, was uncut.
Messmer and Godfrey are two of my absolute favorite bosses just because of how many ways you can dodge them

3:09 you can parry that actually, but not 3:06, there's a little difference between those attacks 👍
Great video btw 💯
Whoops, guess i missed that attack then
And stuff like this (and playing Armored Core games) is why I rebound roll/dash/backstep to L2, makes it way easier to strafe when not locked on.
