So I've only used this pressure washer one time. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP The one time I used it, it worked great. I recently had new siding installed but kept the old gutters and small areas surrounding my house that weren't replaced so they looked horrible and dirty because of the new siding. I needed to get it cleaned asap. When I used the pressure washer, man it just melted all the dirt and grime that was on those areas of my house. I used that krud kutter soap and it was over after that. Easy to assemble, feels durable, very simple to use. Also, I purchased a used one to save money and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I want to get more use out of it so I think I'll be washing the cars and update this comment as time goes on.
Thanks for this. I had exactly the same symptoms with the patio cleaner attachment. Even though water was getting through both jets, it was pulsing. After seeing this video I took the jets out and sure enough, one of them was sufficiently blocked to have caused the problem. All brand new now!
That really helped me out a lot! When I opened it up, I didn´t see anything wrong - there was the hole in the nozzle and I could see thourgh it. But I cleaned it anyway and notized it became oval. It did the trick!
Very helpful, followed your advice and fixed mine too. It's also worth trying to unblock the jet first without dismantling as that may work for a minor blockage.
74yo F trying to fix Karcher pressure washer. Took the yellow thing 😁 off to see where water was spewing from inside. Found 4 small holes where 89yo hubby left water to freeze😱😡. Thought I could buy that part but what is it? Booklet? Oh heck no!😵💫 Liked your easy, explainable tutorial. Thanks
Hi thanks for the video. which helped me sort out this exact problem with my Karcher. I have a Karcher with the three jet option spray nozzle that you have in your video, and like you, I couldn't remove the small yellow plastic section that has the last two screws underneath it (there are 8 screws in total for this spray nozzle cover). This yellow section is retained by two "clip"sections in the black plastic pipe, that have to first be squeezed inwards. These "clip' sections can be seen when viewing the black plastic pipe from the end. However forcing these hard plastic clips inwards whilst also trying to pull the yellow plastic section over the top of it, was at first impossible. How I solved this was to drill a very small hole (about1.5mm) through the top (end) of each clip section , again looking end on, and then installing a very small screw into each hole. These two very small screws allowed me to use a set of long nosed pliers to squeeze the clip sections inwards, with the yellow pastic cover then easily pulled free of the clip section. The reason I needed to open up the spray nozzle cover up completely was because the small metal tab that notches the movement between the three spray nozzle options, had dislodged whist removing the first 6 accessible screws. I have now super glued the small metal tab in place. I hope explanation makes sense for others trying to remove this yellow plastic section from this particular model spray nozzle
Hi,Maria, Have you been able to first remove the last two screws located under the yellow cover as per my first post ? With all eight (8) screws removed the Karcher wand head comes apart in two halves for this particular 3 jet model. Regards. Stephen
The pulsating sound that you showed was caused by a blockage in the nozzle. When I was using my Karcher yesterday it was absolutely fine whilst I was cleaning but as soon as I released the trigger it was making the pulsating sound - as if the compressor couldn't maintain pressure. Have you come across this before? It still seems to work ok but is constantly trying to recharge when not cleaning.
The small metal piece is from the middle of the power gun (right next to last 2 screws - yellow plastic) and stays horizontal and perpendicular through the power gun
Would you have any advice for a unit that’s pulsating without the lance attached? I removed the water supply from the lance attachment and bled it for 20 minutes but water is still spluttering
I have a K7 issue with the nozzle making the same noise as yours, I opened it and cleaned it up. There's a flat metal not really flat, on the first nozzle that you opened(the one that you could not open very well) and I don't know where it came from. Please do a quick on how to put it back as I have searched on the internet with no luck, looking forward to your reply.
Great tip, will definitely be taking apart the K5 Premium lanse later this afternoon and see if I can get the rotating nozzle going again, as it stopped working yesterday after hours and hours of cleaning. Am genuinely surprised that dirt finds it's way in the nozzle since it's a quite closed system that only receives water.
@@thep0ndmanfor me it's a worn down plastic insert; even if you fix it using this approach with the washer insertion, it's going to get worn down eventually.
The metal clip goes back on one side of the outer case about half day down. the inner nozzel that doesnt come out has a grove going in, the metal clip groove going out so it clips into each other. You really have to pull the outer case apart as much as you can to see it not easy. I tried the cleaning but didnt fix the spinning cleaner and the second one only the flat spray one works.
New Subscriber 😊 This was definitely worth a try as I have the exact problem you describe/show (lance with the 3 settings). Sadly, it didn't work 😩... in your experience, would I be right in thinking that the lance is normally the problem (as opposed to the handgun, which suddenly - mid wash (same time as I experienced the weird pulsing/lack of pressure) - decided not to recognise the 'normal' pressure washing setting/allow me to increase or decrease the pressure and continually flips to that weird/useless helicopter setting when you're trying to increase the 'normal' pressure setting?) Thanks for any advice you can give - really appreciate your time and effort helping others! 🙏🏼
My k4 is doing this lucky for me i have my K2 as back up on a job. I've not done this to the lances yet but I did try the lances on the K2 & they worked fine. I'm wondering if it's the hose on the k4 that could be blocked up so I'm gonna wait until the new hose arrives & hopefully this could sort my issue out.
Very useful. I will have a go. Particularly helpful as I have exactly that 3 in one model. I hav a second issue too that the electronic display isn't working either but I can live without that.
Just change the batteries, easy as that. It's two AA batteries and you just slide a small yellow tap to access the compartment. Bought mine used (K5 Premium + accessories) for £150, which was a steal, because the owner thought it was broken (i.e. the LCD display not working).
