Absolute legend. I have had this problem several times over the last 12 months, even taking the Karcher back to the repair centre and being made a fool of, to be told, nothing wrong, couldn't find a problem. Such a simple fix, why don't Karcher mention this on their Web site, or the Service desk or even the repair centre for this simple fix? Thank you for your valuable information.
One of the most useful posts on UA-cam by far - your a star mate! Fixed my K5 in 10 minutes after having a mini heart attack when it wasn’t turning on! Cheers!
I also crapped the bed when my Karcher K5 suddenly stopped, and thankfully after ready your Fix it buzzed back to life.... Thank you so much, you're a lifesaver, and living in rural Ireland i wasn't relishing the drive to Dublin to get it fixed....
Your an absolute legend!! Been sat here for an hour wondering why my karcher k2 wouldn’t power up and not even being a year old I started worrying. Came across this video and followed the steps and it cracked up first turn , thank you very very much 🤟🥳
Oh my brother thank u so much im from pakistan and a year back I bought the karcher prefering on half price chinese pressure washers and it wasn't working for six months. In my country its almost impossible to find a mechanic..ur video sort out my problem in five minutes❤ i have no words to thank u 🎉
This totally saved me for the weekend! I’m a mobile detailer in Southern California and I am booked for the next few weeks, and a backup pressure washer is still on order. I followed your steps and it works perfectly! Thanks so much!!
Put my pressure washer away last year, pulled it out of garage today, nothing, dead. Found your video, five minutes later karcher working great. Brilliant tip, thank you.
I spent an hour dismantling, checking and rebuilding my K2, a quick UA-cam later, found your vid, 8 mins later it’s working. Be proud of yourself, a pressure washer not going into landfill and I got to give my van a full clean down. Amazing video!!
Superb tip! I spent an hour messing with the switch thinking it was an electrical problem! Literally followed your instructions and hey presto works straight away! Many thanks.
i did the same stripped the whole machine looking for electric issue ... found this and did it without reassembling the machine ... now got to put it all back together ggggrrrrr ... well at least i know how little there is inside it and how to strip it 🤣
Borrowed neighbours, stopped working bought her a new one then came across your video. It worked a treat now £80 out of pocket but pressure washer up. Live and learn but thank you
Amazing. We have had our Karcher for a number of years so getting it out yesterday to pressure wash the patio no power - we changed the fuse in the plug, tried different plug sockets and extension cables with no success. Just about to take it to the Repair Cafe and thought I would check if there were any fixes. NOW WORKING. Saved us the cost of a new Karcher. Many thanks.
Finally got my act together to wash the car, got everything set up and no power. Changed fuse etc but still no joy. Came across your video, followed the steps, worked within 30 seconds! Absolute hero!!!!
Absolutely spot on guys. Worked straight away on a K4. Instant success after a lot of frustration. Certainly saved me taking it apart or buying a new one. Many thanks
This worked a treat had exactly the same thing with my k2 I dug it out after two years after watching your video working perfectly thank you so much was about to purchase a k5
After watching many videos about a year ago when it stopped working and trying many things we saw an add for a new pressure washer and I though I’ll search for solutions one last time, we immediately tried this and it works! What an amazing fix! Thank you
My 10+ year old K5.20 just stopped working and was tripping the power so I figured that was it and ordered a new $799 K7 Compact machine yesterday. Then I watched this video.. Old machine is back! This is such a simple fix. Thank you
Thanks very much for posting this! Like others stated, I was thinking mine was destined for the trash, or a very expensive repair. But, it worked for mine just as you demonstrated. I feel I just saved several hundred dollars. I’ve had my pressure washer for five or six years and it’s really been a useful tool around the house.
As per all other comments: great solution for a niggling and potentially expensive issue. Thanks so much for posting the video. Like others, I was thinking of internal fuses, thermal fuses or even a burnt out motor following a hard session of power washing the last time i used the Karcher.
Thank you! I almost threw mine away! You saved me loads of money. It interesting that when I first started the bleed process there was a hollow rushing sound like the machine was empty even though the flow was perfect. and I thought, oh well I am going to be the unlucky one for who this fix won't work. 2 minutes into the bleed the hose started to splutter a bit. It never really stopped spluttering but the rushing sound had stopped so I assumed the machine had filled and tried it and it started. My advice is to definitely spend at least 5 minutes bleeding with a good flow of water.
I whipped out my k3 I have only used a handful times to find it wouldn't turn on. After messing with fuses in the plug etc I was ready to pick the thing up and launch it down the road. After watching your video it works fine now! You sir are a legend.
Top man - worked a treat!! Glad you made the point about letting it run for good 5 mins as water flowed straight away when took lance off so tried powering up - nothing. Left water running, Went away and cane back and tried again POWER 👍 saved a good fee quid for me sir - thanks
Thank you so much. Fixed my issue. You’re a legend!!! The only thing I would mention is if you put the hose you disconnected from the Lance higher than the actual pressure washer the air bleeds out more easily (as air rises). Thanks once again mate :)
What a legend. I had a karcher for about 4months and then it just refused to work, changed the fuse, nothing. Watched this video and within 5mins its back to life. Thankyou so so so much.
Brilliant, my K5 simply wouldn’t turn on and feared it was going to the dump - found you post here on YT, followed your instructions and 5 minutes later it’s working again - huge thanks!
Well done this man, brilliant!! Saved me loads of money, thank you. I have a Karcher K4 and it did exactly that, I however did not look at YT first. After changing plug, stripping it down and getting nowhere I went on YT and found this, absolutely worked first time, see knowledge is power and its good to share, Karcher would sooner not tell you this and let you invest in another.....
Great to hear! and yes, there are always people out there with nothing better to do than thumbs down videos that actually TRY to help people - part of it I suppose 👍😃
Thank you soooo much for this video!!! Had used the washer yesterday and all was fine, but when I tried today it was dead as a doornail. Like the others had checked the fuse but luckily hadn't resorted to dismantling it yet. Searched on YT and came across your BRILLIANT solution. Followed your instructions and hey presto.....working like a dream!!! Why Karcher are not advising on their website or even in their user manual of this simple solution is somewhat questionable 🤔 🤔 THANK YOU AGAIN...A very happy lady😁😁
Just a quick thank you, you saved my bacon. The Karcher K2 that I borrowed off my former bosses son worked when I used it the week before, but because I laid it down in the boot of my car, it no longer worked, leaving me at a client's house with a none functioning power wash. Followed your instruction to a 'T' and now it works and I left it standing in the garage until I drop it off to it's owner. Thanks once again.
Top tip and absolutely spot on. I’ve had pressure washers for twenty plus years and worked in plant hire for twice that and this was a new one for me. I’ve been cursing Karcher and I’ve been looking at Stihl and Bosch machine’s to replace this troublesome K5 machine but this worked 100%
Hi, Karcher 4.99 probably 6 or 7 years old, sitting in Dubai sun for last two years...turned it on, COMPLETELY DEAD! Followed your instructions exactly (only thing is with my model you need Allen key to open the complete lance, about 6 or 8 screws)...did this, then followed your instructions, worked 100%!!! Was about to buy a new one of Amazon...thank God for your video! Thanks again!!! :) :)
Thanks a lot! I've a K5 and before watching your video I've started dismantling the machine. I decide to stop because it's not easy, you need to be an expert almost. So I've taken a look on youtube to learn how to dismantle it. Then with your information, I've realised that there is no need. Once again thanks a lot
Hopefully this video helped SAVE you some money, if it did, please consider leaving a small donation via the following paypal link paypal.me/bacrenproperty?locale.x=en_GB This really helps my channel out and a HUGE thank you to all that have donated so far - it really is very much appreciated - THANKYOU !👍
Wow, thanks Loui, I hugely appreciate that, it will go towards some better equipment for my channel - thanks again, very kind of you and I hope your Karcher goes on to give you many more years service ! 👍
Well done on finding a simple fix. I have 2 karchers older types a 7 series and a 7.85. The 7 series had 2 faults- faulty switch and internally blown lance handle, both replaced and still works fine 2 years on. Easy fixes. The 7.85 had a faulty switch, it is a poor design in my opinion and must have been the cause of thousands of these machines being thrown away needlessly!!. You can either pay £35.for a new switch or throw what was a £400. machine away and start again. I found another way, if you wedge a rubber block(internally) behind the switch this cures the problem and it now works perfectly every time, the only thing is you turn it on/off at the wall socket using a circuit breaker plug for safety- which I would always recommend anyway when using any jet wash as water and electric are always a potential danger. Come on Karcher- sort your switches out! They are letting down otherwise good machines.
Thanks for that Peter, hopefully that information will help some people out. Yes, you see so many good looking machines dumped at the local recycling centres, I bet at least half of them could be fixed in minutes - such a shame but hopefully this video will stop some of this happening in future ! 👍✊
Thank you so much, just bought a new Karcher yesterday when my K4 wouldn’t work after a winter in the shed. Checked your video a little late, but got it working within 5 minutes. Now the proud owner of two pressure washers. Great video. 😂😂
Thank you so much for the advice. I've spent 1.5 hours swearing out loud. I tried 6 different exstention cables, 4 different power sockets, I thought it was the main power source. I use my karcher just to wash the car. Hardly used. So I had to Google the problem and your video came up. Tried it and it worked. Thank you.
Please let me know if this works for you guys - I would be interested if it works for other models. If it does, please let people know in the comments, that would be much appreciated ! Thank you.
Great Darren, Yep, that's the down side of having a working pressure washer again.......cars to wash, paths and drives to clean...........the list goes on !! Happy it worked for you though !
Great advice. I had bought the K2 to replace an old model which had stopped working. I was about to replace the K2 which had also stopped working before I saw your video. Now I have two Karchers in working order. There's no need to detach the lance. Just pull the trigger with the power off and let it squirt water through until the air is dispelled. That will be my routine now everytime I use the Karchers. What do you do with two Karchers?
@@andrewparker6960 I now have 2 Karchers as well after following my own advice !! I have just ended up keeping them as one can be used as a spare. Thanks for the comment
Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
Thank you - After not using my K5.7 for a long time I was also about to try and take it apart to check that the power was getting to the unit. After trying your advice for a few minutes without success - your mention of bleeding the water hose for a good 5 minutes got me thinking about where else could a tiny air leak get into the system as all hoses seamed good - then I thought about the now empty (upside down) soap bottle - maybe being empty was enough to trick the system - so I half filled it and within a minute of bleeding the water as per your video - the karcher was running normally !! Maybe my soap bottle is very old and may be leaking some air into the system - but filling it plus following your advice FIXED the PROBLEM - thank you !!!!!
This was so helpful. I was about to give up on my K5 which was under 2 years old ; suddenly decided not to fire up after working 2 days back. Was about to give up when I saw this video. Worked straight away. Thank you very much for a very practical solution / video.
Thanks you very much, this just saved me £400, after checking all the fuses i was convinced this was a compressor or motor fault and was just about to press buy on a new washer, then thought "i'll just see if anyone else has has the same fault", Worked a treat!! Thanks
it worked for me too ! I've had a K3 for years and the other day it didn't power up , it was the first time it happened so i thought the K3 has passed away after more than ten years of good services .. Luckily my searches on the web lead me to your video and solved the issue as well as saved money !! Thank you from France :)
I can’t actually believe this worked, not even 10mins and my 7year old K2 lives on! Been 6months since it didn’t switch on one day, changed fuse and nothing. Bit nippy right now but the car and patio will be getting a well needed clean tomorrow if it’s not poring down, thanks
Brilliant, saved the day! The first video I came across after my K5 failed to start. Less than a year old with little use, I thought that I was going to have to do a warranty claim. Saw this video and thought it was worth giving it a try. Did as you suggested and ... didn't work! Agghhh! Breathe! Be patient I thought, so I went through the process again giving more time. This time... it started! Yay! I was so relieved I had to go and have a lie-down 🙂Thank you for posting this video.
Glad to know. I had the same experience (so far unsuccesful) with the K5. Will try it for longer and hopefully this will solve the problem like for many others, as it looks exactly the same.
Agree with a lot of comments on here. Perhaps one of the most useful youtube videos EVER! Worked a treat for my 4 year old K5!! Was just about to post my washer off for repairs. This has saved me a ton of cash. Thankyou so much.👍
Wow - just about to sling the Karcher after weeks of intermittant problems - well done that man !!!! I did note that my "solution" mixer control wasn't on MIN despite never using the bottle and guessed that it might have been trying to suck "product" into the mix and hence the ingress of air..... anyhow, you just saved me £200 this fine bank holiday weekend.. cheers for that sir.
My k2 was in store room for the past 3-4 years since it stopped working. Today i was just curious and searched youtube found this and yes it works perfectly fine. Thank you sir for this content. 😌
Great tip.... I thought mine was broken too and I just bought a new K5 today (before watching this video) but now the old one started right away after removing the pistol!! So I’m gonna bring the new one back tomorrow and save me a lot of money... so THANKS for posting this video!!
I had mine sat in the garage as a back up for my Kranzle k7..... Anyway, Kranzle needed servicing so I pulled the old fella out to put it to use while it's being serviced. Switched it on, nothing! Ran water for a couple of minutes, nothing! I'd kinda given up when I thought I'll just Google it and this was the first video. Gave it a go and hey presto! It's working! Thanks mate! 👍🏼
Wow , just had all screws out, multimeter on hand & Karcher site ready to buy a new one. Thank you SO much. Your fix works, my K4 is now running and you have saved me £200+
Thanks so much, I have a big patio area, three weeks ago I washed it spent most of the day doing it, just as I got the the finish it stopped dead, tried changing the fuse but no good. Just came across your video and it worked, much appreciated and straight to the point.
This worked for me... all the symptoms you mentioned. Nothing worked. Took the wand off and let the water run. Reattached everything and it worked. Thank you
My K5 did not turn on. While I was watching videos to by me a new one I came accros your video. And indeed after 5 minutes my pressure washer came alive again. Thanks.
Brillliant! I was waiting on the phone for a Karcher agent and casually Googled the problem and you cam up. Thanks and much appreciated. Such a simple fix but only if you know! 😉
You Sir are a star. This worked perfectly on my non-starting k5 Premium. Just bled out the air as you showed and she fired right up. Thank you so much for sharing this and saving me a lot of time stripping the unit down.
This fix worked for my K5 too. Thanks a lot! You are a star! I had called to Kärcher service center before this video, they offered a repair for 119€, no thanks I’m good 😅
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for this. I assumed it was a fuse blow out but when that didn't work I resorted to Google and found this video. Couldn't figure out how to disconnect the pressure gun but after disconnecting the twist fit second section of the gun and then pressing the gun trigger I was able to run water through the machine, and it worked in the way you described. Very many thanks.
Was ready to put my old k5 in the bin after having it for years and it just wouldnt turn on. After trying this its back to normal. Thanks for the video saved me a fortune 👍👍
I would have brought my almost new K5 in for repairs tomorrow. But last night I thought, that can't be right, the thing isn't even a year old and I only used it twice last fall. So I searched on youtube and found your video. Tried it this morning, works. What a crap, why don't the write this into the manual? Anyway, three thumbs up from me, and I'll have a drink to you tonight. Greetings from Gernany 👍👍👍
Brilliant! I've got a 5 year old K4. Just tried to clean the car and it was dead. After a mouth full of swearing and thinking I'd have to replace it I looked up fixes on UA-cam. thanks for this video. It sorted it out immediately.
Brilliant my friend. Got all the stuff set up switched on…nothing. Thinking…it was working fine a few weeks ago, then I was planning taking it to the Karcher repair place about ten miles away on Monday. Followed your instructions and it worked fine after a couple of flushes. Many thanks mate👍
Just came back from power washing the courtyard to say you saved the day! Thanks for the advice. Seemingly busted Karcher - 3 mins on UA-cam - fixed Karcher!
Thank you, your quick fix worked a treat on my 20+ year old Karcher 550M .. job now completed and small donation made. A happy Kiwi here in New Zealand.
Thank you so much! Whoever would have thought of that! After checking the electric and changing the fuse, I was on the point of booking a service for £80 plus the cost of a new switch, or pump, or motor. Blood pressure has returned to normal. Thanks again and I am more than happy to make a donation.
Hi there 3 years on and this saved me $$$ so thank you 🙏 The same for me just on one year old and wouldn’t start Followed your instructions and boom 💥 I am a happy camper 👏👏👏👏
This is brilliant. Mine hasn't worked in years. I've got a smaller one as well but wanted the bigger one to clean the house walls. I nearly let Karcher service it once but the price was astronomical so I chamy mind. I recently bought a capacitor and some torx security tools then went to watch a few videos before tackling it and found this and thought I'd try this first. It worked a treat. I had to turn the start button to the on position to get the water to start flowing but could then turn it off again and it kept flowing. Why don't Karcher give these tips out instead of trying to fleece us. Thanks again!
I've been searching all night, found your video and will be attempting to fix in the morning. My patio is half cleaned and I can't wait to try this!! I have hope.... 😊 Thank you!!
Wow what an incredible video, I was about to go and buy a new jet wash, instead I followed your film and hey presto my jet washer is working again. Amazing thank you so much.
Thanks a lot for this. I was on my way to buy a new K2.360 as it stopped to work like yours. I followed your instructions and it works! Thanks a lot from Cape Town, South Africa
I owe you a pint mate. Video was invaluable. Had my K4 a few years now and no issues . It’s always stored upright and I took put it into the car to take to my daughters it’s possible putting it on it’s side contributed to it air-locking. Many thanks again mate.😊🍀🍻
OMG ..u just saved my Karcher from the skip...this is the second one in 8 months!!! Got a feeling an air block was probably the problem..thank you so much..Sharon
Super solution !!!!! You saved my bacon. I was already in bags and ashes (dutch saying) but you solution worked perfectly. I put the end of the hose in a bucket of water to see if air bubbles came out and they did. Thanks a million.
Thanks a lot pal, i left mine running water through for 25 minutes, connected back up because it was still spluttering bad even at 15 minutes, had left washer up 4 years, bought it in 2017 used it 3 times on a car and drive, was shocked when went to use it again and nothing....... Done as suggested, SHES ALIVE and working as intended as they arent cheap...... I've always wondered how many have fecked them out and bought a new one😂😂
Well after a few hours of trying I couldn't get mine working and come across your video thought that's not going to work but it does, thanks so much saved me a fair bit and know others with the same issue. Amazing
I am yet another happy viewer to your channel. I was just about to throw out my K3 when I found this video and it absolutely saved the day. Karcher must be well annoyed that you are depriving them of sales by sharing this very useful hack. 👍
I really thought this wasn’t going to work, but it sure has! I had already sent a K2 back & got a K3, but the same thing happened with the K3 until now! I am now searching for the old one on the farm dump just in case it was the same problem! Thank you .. 🙏
Thank you! This worked. First time I did it, it didn’t work as I didn’t follow the exact instructions. Second time worked a charm. Saved me hundreds £££!

After changing plug, stripping it down and getting nowhere I went on YT and found this, absolutely worked first time, see knowledge is power and its good to share, Karcher would sooner not tell you this and let you invest in another.....
Thanks Phil, I am happy this worked for you 😍👍
THANK YOU!! This worked a treat on my K2..
Why anyone would give this a thumbs down is beyond me. I owe you a beer 🍻
Great to hear! and yes, there are always people out there with nothing better to do than thumbs down videos that actually TRY to help people - part of it I suppose 👍😃
Brilliant. Given how dead it was didnt really think this would work but sure enough it was restored to life. THANK YOU!
Great, thanks for the comment ! 👍
I'm glad the video helped you out - thanks for the comment !
Great, thanks for the comment, glad it worked for you !
Great to hear Gary, thanks for the comment mate ! 👍😎
You bloody legend!! Thank you, that's just saved us buying a new one, worked exactly how you said 🤩 (we've got a K2 version)
Glad it helped buddy, thanks for the comment 👍😀
I am so glad that I came across this video. I was very close to buying a new pressure washer. Thank you 👍🏽
Glad I could help!
Great to hear Robert, thanks for sharing. It makes me happy when I know that this video is helping people like yourself !
Glad I could help!

@LOUi TUBE Great Louis, I am really glad that this worked for you - you will know what to do if it happens again !
Bacren Property donation left, thanks again
Great Lee, thanks for that it is very much appreciated ! 👍😎
Massive thank you!!!! Worked a dream, really didn’t think it would as I’m usually not that lucky. Only took a few mins! 👌🏻🙌🏻
No problem 👍 glad to hear it worked for you 😎
The water is still not coming out of the hose ? Hmm
Thank you so much, just bought a new Karcher yesterday when my K4 wouldn’t work after a winter in the shed. Checked your video a little late, but got it working within 5 minutes. Now the proud owner of two pressure washers. Great video. 😂😂
😂 Same here mate........2 pressure washers here too 😆
Thank you so much for the advice. I've spent 1.5 hours swearing out loud. I tried 6 different exstention cables, 4 different power sockets, I thought it was the main power source. I use my karcher just to wash the car. Hardly used. So I had to Google the problem and your video came up. Tried it and it worked. Thank you.
Glad it helped! Thanks for the comment
Please let me know if this works for you guys - I would be interested if it works for other models.
If it does, please let people know in the comments, that would be much appreciated !
Thank you.
Worked perfectly on my K2 . Unfortunately now the wife expects me to use it.
👍
Thks mate for that advice it got my jet wash working. Top man.
No problem 👍
Great, thanks for the comment, hopefully will help other people with similar set up.
This was so helpful. I was about to give up on my K5 which was under 2 years old ; suddenly decided not to fire up after working 2 days back. Was about to give up when I saw this video. Worked straight away. Thank you very much for a very practical solution / video.
No problem, I am glad this worked for you !
Hi thanks a mill, this saved my power washer and it works on other makes also as mine isn't a Karcher 👍
Great Ann Marie thanks for the comment ! 👍
Video starts at 1:53
Thanks
Steps unclear pressure washer is taken apart
???
Thanks you very much, this just saved me £400, after checking all the fuses i was convinced this was a compressor or motor fault and was just about to press buy on a new washer, then thought "i'll just see if anyone else has has the same fault", Worked a treat!! Thanks
Thanks, glad it worked for you
it worked for me too ! I've had a K3 for years and the other day it didn't power up , it was the first time it happened so i thought the K3 has passed away after more than ten years of good services .. Luckily my searches on the web lead me to your video and solved the issue as well as saved money !! Thank you from France :)
Great, thanks for the comment and give my love to France !
I can’t actually believe this worked, not even 10mins and my 7year old K2 lives on! Been 6months since it didn’t switch on one day, changed fuse and nothing. Bit nippy right now but the car and patio will be getting a well needed clean tomorrow if it’s not poring down, thanks
You're welcome and thanks for the comment !
😂 Glad it worked for you in the end ! 👍
Glad to know. I had the same experience (so far unsuccesful) with the K5. Will try it for longer and hopefully this will solve the problem like for many others, as it looks exactly the same.
A last ditch attempt to get our karcher working before buying a new - and it worked! Incredble! So simple, thankyou!
Glad it worked for you Grace, thanks for the comment !
You are a hero amongst men. I borrowed the in-laws K2 and it was DOA. Fixed it now and saved myself from the awkward conversation 😂
👍
Agree with a lot of comments on here. Perhaps one of the most useful youtube videos EVER! Worked a treat for my 4 year old K5!! Was just about to post my washer off for repairs. This has saved me a ton of cash. Thankyou so much.👍
Thanks for sharing and thanks for the kind comments !
Just found this video when my karcher K4 wouldnt fire up....followed your advice. 5mins later and....BOOM!! One working karcher
Cheers 🤙👌👍
Glad it helped Freddy, thanks for the comment
Wow - just about to sling the Karcher after weeks of intermittant problems - well done that man !!!! I did note that my "solution" mixer control wasn't on MIN despite never using the bottle and guessed that it might have been trying to suck "product" into the mix and hence the ingress of air..... anyhow, you just saved me £200 this fine bank holiday weekend.. cheers for that sir.
Glad to hear it, enjoy the holiday weekend !
My k2 was doing this quick serch on Google and this video came up! And now my karcher is back up and running👌 10/10 saved my self money
Great to hear Ross, thanks for the comment 👍😎
My k2 was in store room for the past 3-4 years since it stopped working. Today i was just curious and searched youtube found this and yes it works perfectly fine. Thank you sir for this content. 😌
Great to hear, thanks for the comment
Great tip.... I thought mine was broken too and I just bought a new K5 today (before watching this video) but now the old one started right away after removing the pistol!! So I’m gonna bring the new one back tomorrow and save me a lot of money... so THANKS for posting this video!!
Great to hear, glad I saved you some money 👍
I had mine sat in the garage as a back up for my Kranzle k7..... Anyway, Kranzle needed servicing so I pulled the old fella out to put it to use while it's being serviced. Switched it on, nothing! Ran water for a couple of minutes, nothing! I'd kinda given up when I thought I'll just Google it and this was the first video. Gave it a go and hey presto! It's working! Thanks mate! 👍🏼
Great to hear Dave, I'm glad this worked for you 👍
Wow , just had all screws out, multimeter on hand & Karcher site ready to buy a new one. Thank you SO much. Your fix works, my K4 is now running and you have saved me £200+
No problem Terry, I am happy that this saved you buying a new one.
Legend! Literally just had this problem today when I went to wash the van. Thought it was a new machine job. My little karcher lives on
Great to hear Liam, thanks for the comment
Thanks so much, I have a big patio area, three weeks ago I washed it spent most of the day doing it, just as I got the the finish it stopped dead, tried changing the fuse but no good. Just came across your video and it worked, much appreciated and straight to the point.
Thanks for the comment - glad it worked for you !
This worked for me... all the symptoms you mentioned. Nothing worked. Took the wand off and let the water run. Reattached everything and it worked. Thank you
😎👍
You are a legend… I was sceptical, but have just done it and you’ve saved me spending £400 on a new unit… legend 😮
Brilliant, thanks for sharing mate !
My K5 did not turn on. While I was watching videos to by me a new one I came accros your video. And indeed after 5 minutes my pressure washer came alive again. Thanks.
Glad I could help
Brillliant! I was waiting on the phone for a Karcher agent and casually Googled the problem and you cam up. Thanks and much appreciated. Such a simple fix but only if you know! 😉
Glad it helped!
I was about to throw a total spaz… then your video saved me and my evening plans to blast the fence before painting tomorrow. You’ve save my weekend!
Glad I could help - Happy painting !
You Sir are a star. This worked perfectly on my non-starting k5 Premium. Just bled out the air as you showed and she fired right up. Thank you so much for sharing this and saving me a lot of time stripping the unit down.
😎👌
This fix worked for my K5 too. Thanks a lot! You are a star! I had called to Kärcher service center before this video, they offered a repair for 119€, no thanks I’m good 😅
Thanks for sharing
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for this. I assumed it was a fuse blow out but when that didn't work I resorted to Google and found this video. Couldn't figure out how to disconnect the pressure gun but after disconnecting the twist fit second section of the gun and then pressing the gun trigger I was able to run water through the machine, and it worked in the way you described. Very many thanks.
No problem, thanks for the comment !
Was ready to put my old k5 in the bin after having it for years and it just wouldnt turn on. After trying this its back to normal. Thanks for the video saved me a fortune 👍👍
Good to hear Dean 👍
I would have brought my almost new K5 in for repairs tomorrow. But last night I thought, that can't be right, the thing isn't even a year old and I only used it twice last fall. So I searched on youtube and found your video. Tried it this morning, works. What a crap, why don't the write this into the manual?
Anyway, three thumbs up from me, and I'll have a drink to you tonight. Greetings from Gernany 👍👍👍
Thankyou, I am so glad the video worked out for you and greetings to Germany from Scotland UK 😎👍
Brilliant! I've got a 5 year old K4. Just tried to clean the car and it was dead. After a mouth full of swearing and thinking I'd have to replace it I looked up fixes on UA-cam. thanks for this video. It sorted it out immediately.
😎👍
Brilliant my friend. Got all the stuff set up switched on…nothing.
Thinking…it was working fine a few weeks ago, then I was planning taking it to the Karcher repair place about ten miles away on Monday.
Followed your instructions and it worked fine after a couple of flushes.
Many thanks mate👍
Glad it helped buddy !
Just came back from power washing the courtyard to say you saved the day! Thanks for the advice. Seemingly busted Karcher - 3 mins on UA-cam - fixed Karcher!
Glad I could help!
What an absolute legend. Spent weeks googling the issue and yours is the only one I found. 👏🏻
👍
Thank you, your quick fix worked a treat on my 20+ year old Karcher 550M .. job now completed and small donation made. A happy Kiwi here in New Zealand.
I am happy this worked for you Ross and thanks for the kind donation, it is very much appreciated. Thank you !
Thank you so much! Whoever would have thought of that! After checking the electric and changing the fuse, I was on the point of booking a service for £80 plus the cost of a new switch, or pump, or motor. Blood pressure has returned to normal. Thanks again and I am more than happy to make a donation.
Thank you Tom, I am so happy this worked for you and thank you for the kind donation to the channel, much appreciated 👍
Hi there 3 years on and this saved me $$$ so thank you 🙏 The same for me just on one year old and wouldn’t start
Followed your instructions and boom 💥 I am a happy camper 👏👏👏👏
You're welcome!
Thanks for the comment and great that it worked for you 👍
I've been searching all night, found your video and will be attempting to fix in the morning. My patio is half cleaned and I can't wait to try this!! I have hope.... 😊 Thank you!!
Did it work?
Wow what an incredible video, I was about to go and buy a new jet wash, instead I followed your film and hey presto my jet washer is working again. Amazing thank you so much.
Great to hear! 👍
Thanks a lot for this. I was on my way to buy a new K2.360 as it stopped to work like yours. I followed your instructions and it works! Thanks a lot from Cape Town, South Africa
Thanks for the comment and greetings from Scotland UK 😊
I owe you a pint mate. Video was invaluable. Had my K4 a few years now and no issues . It’s always stored upright and I took put it into the car to take to my daughters it’s possible putting it on it’s side contributed to it air-locking. Many thanks again mate.😊🍀🍻
Glad it helped Adrian, thanks for the comment !
OMG ..u just saved my Karcher from the skip...this is the second one in 8 months!!! Got a feeling an air block was probably the problem..thank you so much..Sharon
Glad it helped Sharon, another Karcher SAVED from the skip !
Super solution !!!!! You saved my bacon. I was already in bags and ashes (dutch saying) but you solution worked perfectly. I put the end of the hose in a bucket of water to see if air bubbles came out and they did. Thanks a million.
You are welcome!
Great to hear, yes, just imagine how many have been taken to the dump.........when they could have been fixed in minutes.
Sometimes the problem is due to a bad connection at the tap end, allowing air to be sucked in along with the water.
Well after a few hours of trying I couldn't get mine working and come across your video thought that's not going to work but it does, thanks so much saved me a fair bit and know others with the same issue. Amazing
Good to hear, thanks for the comment 😍
I am yet another happy viewer to your channel. I was just about to throw out my K3 when I found this video and it absolutely saved the day.
Karcher must be well annoyed that you are depriving them of sales by sharing this very useful hack. 👍
Glad I could help and thanks for the comment !
Fair play mate , was power washing and thought my K4 had quit and searched for a fix , came across this video and it worked , thanks very much 👍🏻
No problem 👍
I really thought this wasn’t going to work, but it sure has! I had already sent a K2 back & got a K3, but the same thing happened with the K3 until now! I am now searching for the old one on the farm dump just in case it was the same problem! Thank you .. 🙏
Glad I could help!
Thank you! This worked. First time I did it, it didn’t work as I didn’t follow the exact instructions. Second time worked a charm. Saved me hundreds £££!
Glad it helped Leena 👍
