So I've only used this pressure washer one time. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP The one time I used it, it worked great. I recently had new siding installed but kept the old gutters and small areas surrounding my house that weren't replaced so they looked horrible and dirty because of the new siding. I needed to get it cleaned asap. When I used the pressure washer, man it just melted all the dirt and grime that was on those areas of my house. I used that krud kutter soap and it was over after that. Easy to assemble, feels durable, very simple to use. Also, I purchased a used one to save money and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I want to get more use out of it so I think I'll be washing the cars and update this comment as time goes on.

Its amazing they actually last the length of the guarantee with all those delicate parts, there are too many people complaining of the same problems that its obviously not up to the job and karchers get out of it line is "it must have been frost damaged, even the ones kept indoors like my dads! If i cant fix it i'll be giving my money to the competition, balls to karcher! Great vids by the way thanks

Hi, great vid. Just about to do this and an oil change on a K444 M 1.141-565 that I bought in 1999 while serving in Germany. The pressure control head (All one unit-not as the vid) and cylinder head along with seals were available from Karcher UK, Banbury off the shelf and they emailed all the exploded diagrams with part numbers. They gave me the number of a Karcher repair centre in Coln, Lancs who advised good quality motor oil for the pump. I'm using 10w-30 semi synthetic motorcycle oil. I'll try and do a vid while I carry out the work.

Great video. As you took it apart it convinced me it is not worth the effort, better to just buy a new one. I am pretty handy but I saw enough springs flying and other complexities to tell me one way or another I am going to screw things up if I get that deep into it. For that alone it was a worthwhile watch. 😕

    Hi guys.
I have a 511 hot pressure washer that stopped working. It was a bit temperamental and I have been tilting it back then slamming it forward for it to work lately. But when I went to my local Karcher shop he said it takes way too long now to do the repairs that he wouldn't touch it. So I want to try it myself. Spill valve and top loader valve possibly stuck plus I'll service when I have it stripped so what's best to do here.
Do you have any videos I could follow for this machine.
Or a website where I can get more info in it.
    Many thanks
    Ian.

Why my Karcher K3.48M only works if I removed the nuzzle pull the trigger for a few seconds, than re-connected the nuzzle back and the machine comes on, it works fine than, until I let the trigger go and I have to do it all over. As long as I keep the trigger pressed it works fine, never stops, pressure is great. I try to turned the power switch ON and OFF, but dod no good, only removing the nuzzle does the trick. Thanks for any help on this.

Hi Nick, I have the exact same Model as you used K3.99 (1.423-233.0), but the Motor just keeps on going when you switch it on and does not cut out like it used to when the pressure had built up. I have checked and double checked for Leaks but cannot locate any. Would you have any idea's or suggestions which could point me in the direction of repairing the Washer. Thank you.

Great video, excellent apart from those couple of close-ups off camera! My later version K3-99 has only one casting held in by just 4 bolts not the 7(8) you show. Everything else looks just the same. Taking out that last bolt and it all springs apart! As a result I shall have to replace the oil, mine is milky, confirmation of the amount would have helped. I shall have to guess how much not to fill it by.
Guess the re-assemble is going to be a trifle more difficult, though following the same principles as you show. Wish me luck.

Tony Spiess you know you the k3.99 when you removed the parts in the control head did you have a spring between two part as in this video he had one but I didn't just wanted to know if you had the spring

I have a K2.36M 1.671-431 which is leaking water from in between what you called the uploader valve and the housing it is installed in. Does this mean the O rings inside need replacing?
If so where can I get them?
Unlike the one in your video, it does not have a metal casing over the top, but two separate metal brackets, with the one over the uploading valve (which in mine has a plastic, not metal shaft) being difficult to remove. There are three O ring inside the uploader valve.
I have emailed Karcher but have had no reply.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Very helpful vid. thanks. Got a smaller karcher unit myself. Pressure is good but i feel the water amount is less. Kinda like the motor hasn't primed up well. Also ocassionally the motor runs briefly without triggering the gun if i keep the unit "on". Any idea what this can be? I'm thinking of opening it up over the weekend. Got he courage after your vids :)

Judging by the 'oil' I found in my K411A it's really a viscous grease - and won't just drain out. Ransomspares in the UK sell a 50ml tube for servicing - which must be about the right quantity for the K411A.

Change oil every 500 hours? Mine didn't even lasted 20 hours before it went to the dumps. Shop labor plus parts will cost more then new. It's a throw away item if you couldn't fix yourself.
