I bought a Karcher 620 25 years ago, and I met this very problem 10 years ago. I found your video last week, and I followed precisely your very accurate procedure. the final result is perfect !!!! it works again now. 1000 tanks for the good job !!!!!
Great instructional guys. No 10 minute chatter before hand like all the US guys like to listen to thoer own voices. Just simple straight forward clear advice. I have this machine and it's a rare thing now.
When I had a boat my 620 was used very often but now it is just used once a year and needs this fix very often. But I always have to check the procedure here, so thanks for the great video. A couple of points. I manage to get the unloader out without removing the electric box by sliding out the rubber attaching the electric box to the piston housing. Also, if the piston is stuck fast, be careful not to damage/bend the thin piece of rod using pliers. If you unscrew the rod from the piston, you can put in a long bolt and give yourself more power/ leverage to remove the piston and replace the rod undamaged.
Excellent video. Thank you so much. I have 3x of these machines and each one has a similar problem or leaks. I never had the confidence to diagnose the problem but now I will give it a go.
Thankyou for your helpful video. I had a problem today with my 620M which cut out and it was the machines thermal switch which reset after 30 mins. The reason was my own fault as I fitted a rotary lance and didn't bleed through first. It jolted the system and cut out. Okay now, though I do have this same issue you had too, so a rebuild is something I shall have to do also. It is over twenty years of age and worth looking after.
I just bought this machine almost like new.instead of a K4. My reason was exactly the reason you pointed out here. No bluetooth, no mambo jumbo, but induction motor, no plastic, simplicity, - my right to repair -
Thank you so much for the class about cleaning solenoid valve I have my Karcher 620 M since 1997 and I love the machine, but during this period I've probably sent the machine at least 15 times to clean this solenoide, thinking tha it had to be replaced. I probably invest about 02 ot 03 time the machine's value, reparing it I'll not send it anymore to the technical assistance.
Thanks alot for the video, it really helps us diagnose our waterblast. Just one more thing, how to get those sets of rubber rings and those kind of grease?
Great instruction and exactly to the point! My machine is suffering from this exact same problem - every year again! When you don't use it for a while the pressure valve gets stuck and corroded and won't work properly. I have to re-open and clean it every time but maybe i missed to clean it properly and re-lubricate it. What type of lubricant did you use? Is it silicon-based?
Thankyou for your very good instructional video. For many years my old 620 has suffered this problem and now I know how to fix it. I have another problem with my 620 though the switch on top of the unit won’t remain on when I push it down the way I keep it on is by placing some very heavy sticky tape across it . Any idea how I can fix it.
Hi, great video, I have a K5 not the power control one just the normal one and it doesn’t seem to have any power as in when you turn it on with everything connected nothing happens I’ve left the water to go through as some people say about the air locks but even after trying that and taking it apart I can’t seem to find what’s wrong with it? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Hi thanks, does the electric motor start running? As it could be a bad motor start capacitor or maybe the on /off switch is playing up on top of the water blaster.
I have been offered one of these K620M machines. How old are they and are they a long lived machine worth rebuilding or better to purchase a later model such as the K5 series? Thanks for the clear video.
