I saw indian TT where they just taped up The steely’s and did black amd Silver, looked fire and loser to larger rim size, bust also lets not forget that a $1.50 can of Flat blacFrom walmart will Serve asA long lasting cheap tire shine and This would have finished the build
Use prybars and lengths of 2x4 to access body panels for pushing from the backside for hard-to-reach areas. Also a crowbar can sneak into areas you can't hammer. Good job working with what you have on hand and also using inexpensive items. Love seeing the younger generations getting their hands dirty!
All in all a hell of an improvement. 3 tiny things that I think would help elevate the outcome. 1: paint or replace the bowtie 2: paint the tow hooks to contrast 3: get some new lugnuts. You got new wheels but reused the old crusty lugs which takes a lot away from the look. But if I saw this rolling towards me on the road y'all would definitely get a honk and a wave from me in my dime.
I love a good S10 project. It looks like you got the 2wd offset wheels on the 4wd. For the next set of wheels, consider a Corvette or Camaro takeoff set or reproduction. There are tons of relatively inexpensive options and fit perfectly. IMO, the C4 saw blades would fit your project nicely. If you're looking for a cheap performance upgrade, do an electric fan swap. A 95-99 Olds Aurora was a car without a grille, so it had 2 powerful radiator fans in a 2 piece integrated shroud that is able to be separated. After removing the belt-driven fan, I took the high side Aurora fan and tucked it behind the factory s10 shroud and it fit so nicely that no further securing was necessary. I used a probe style thermostatic switch that I got from Summit, and switched the engine thermostat to a 180* for a little extra headroom in cooling. I set the fans to run somewhere between 190-195 and never had a cooling issue after. The engine revs so much more freely without that massive fan attached to it. If you can still find them, an underdrive pulley on the crank complimented that even further. Cheers!
Hey mate, there's no shame in a bit of body filler, fibreglass , JB weld, pu sealants or anything like that. They get a bad rap but at the end of the day they're just useful products, tools at your disposal. You did the best you could there with what you had available. Good on you
Boys nice refresher you did really well. I love the front grill and the light changes. The bondo and spray paint looks really good. Not a fan of the offset but love the wheels. This shows a lot of people that they can do some basic things to make an old vehicle look better. Kudos to you hope you're enjoying the truck
Excellent job! I'm in the middle of fixing up my '02 ext. cab right now. Also on a budget but I'm on the other end - I'm 74 and on a fixed income! My ride is also white and I have the exact same bed cover. Glad to see you were wearing a mask when painting. My truck has almost the identical dents as you had LOL. I went with a Blazer front bumper with Sonoma headlights and an Olds Bravada grill. 👍👍👍👍👍
Looks good to me. I basically did the same thing to my old worn out looking 04 GMC Sonoma. Mine is a 4x4 and it has an off road rugged look. I bought an old junk yard shell and painted it with raptor line in black. Off road wheels and tires and the truck looks mean. I use it mostly for solo fly fishing trips and just camp out in the bed. Works for me.
Good job boys. I like the tires and wheels combo. I think some of the older folks forget what it takes to learn this stuff when they were starting off. Keep it up. PNW is soggy but we can still build cool stuff.
Should have put bondo on those larger dents in middle of bumper, also heat gun that plastic ebay bed cover. Will give u a flawless finish lastly, i highly aplaud u for the wood shims on ebay cover fix. 2 - OG points for u kid. Im subscribed.
To bring out a mirror-like shine on old paint, bumpers, and matte black rims: 1. **Wash and dry** the truck, bumpers, and rims. 2. **Clay bar** to remove contaminants. 3. **Polish** the paint and bumpers with a cutting compound and fine polish. 4. **Use a matte polish** on the matte black rims, then apply a matte sealant. 5. **Apply wax or sealant** to the paint and bumpers for added shine and protection. 6. **Buff off excess** with a microfiber towel for a smooth, shiny finish.
Not bad at all. I’d recommend wet sanding the taillights and hitting them with clear coat. I wouldn’t mind seeing you guys install a stereo and maybe do some interior mods.
For young ladds. You did so,so, fiberglass filler for holes, as water , moisture gets in from back side and pops it up, work o. Your bondo spreading. You can thin it a little or get light filler. Can get a new front bumper pretty cheap. I got on ebay, $68. Overall, good 1st try.
Hey Toby Good job on the work . I noticed you are in Washington..I live in PORTLAND. If you are near Vancouver, WA check out speeds auto auction . It is a good place to find cars or truck. I flip cars once in awhile as a hobby too.
New job ! Next time roll your tape around your spot it will leave less of a line but nice job great to see young guys working on there own trucks and cars !
The transformation of the front end was amazing. Not sure I dig the tire/wheel choice. I love Wagon Wheels, but the spacing looks horrid with the street tires... Maybe it would like better with some All-Terrain, but otherwise the transformation was really good. Congrats
Looks pretty good, only thing i would suggest that is budget friendly that would look good would be to add some fender flairs if you plan on keeping those wheels for a while. All in all, right on and good on you for making that little pickup look as good as it does. keep it up!!
Nice work boys! 2 recommendations from a fellow Washingtonian: 1- definitely swap the old halogen headlight bulbs for some good LED or other brighter bulbs (Silvania Silverstar or whatever they're called) 2- should definitely go back to the junkyard and grab a hitch. They're easy to install, and is way better than the old ball-in-the-bumper one.
No. Its illegal to put LEDs in any non projector headlight that came with halogens. If you dont knownwhat a fresnel lense is, dont. Youre that guy on the road though. I can already tell.
I would pull tires off the old steelies. Paint them black then put on new tires. But if you like that style it’s your truck. Just not a fan of the wheels. Good work though. Truck came out good!
Once you learn to weld, you will cringe at this, but its a good way to learn. Bondo comes in a fiberglass reinforced version for structural spots. Also, you can go to Harbor Freight and get a stud puller for $100. You could have fixed most of those holes with that.
everything was great until the new tires.
I lowkey fw the wheels
Agreed. Too wide for a small truck, makes it look like a Tonka Toy.
The wheels are great
I saw indian TT where they just taped up

Yeah I preferred the steelies maybe just got mud tires on those wheels

doing a 1999 myself, loved this video!

That build is clean!

Pretty sure the offset was chosen correctly.... stock 4wd wheels look silly on these

id paint the old wheels black myself , but it looks great , good job guys 👌

Great work! Definitely wear eye protection of some sort when using the dremel though.
Dude, I love it. I love this truck. It’s bad ass. I love the work, man you guys kicked butt.
Low pro roll by tonneau was what I used. My cover sat below the bedrail. Used was 120 scamazon.

the front end is just perfect
Massive aquascape transformation!
The truck came out matching already great work
Nice job guys 👍👍

You did a great job!! A heck of a difference guys.
Tires and wheels look good overall Nice👍
This gave me the motivation to fix up my 99 ranger nice vid
awesome very well done! i love that you have found another passion and its very much worth to explore, i love it.
Nice work 👍 looks great
Dude this is awesome. Just found you before this vid from your hardbody video. I’m happy to see you still making uploads. Love the car content.
That is a nice looking rebadged Isuzu. Good job. Looks great!!!!
Sweet, great job. Definitely better than what it started as
This inspired me to fix mine that I just got a few weeks ago
Good job guys. Brings back memories

Everything was great and looked fantastic, until the wheels and tires. Lol.
This content is great. Keep it up
Nice work boys!
Looks pretty good, for what ya had to work with. BTW, good to see you back.
You guys did a wonderful job best ever
Great job,looks amazing!!
Not bad at all. I’d recommend wet sanding the taillights and hitting them with clear coat. I wouldn’t mind seeing you guys install a stereo and maybe do some interior mods.
Young people doing cool things, like itm
Music sounds killer in 2x speed. Like punk rock from Pluto. 💫
Looks great! I’d suggest to add a little more to it is some vent shades and maybe some after market fog lights.
Love the wheels!
What size rims an what is the off set?
Pretty cool to se how the all in all appearance of a car can go from busted to nice with just a couple of hours of labor 👍🏻
Hey Toby Good job on the work . I noticed you are in Washington..I live in PORTLAND. If you are near Vancouver, WA check out speeds auto auction . It is a good place to find cars or truck. I flip cars once in awhile as a hobby too.
Where’d you get the rims
Reminds me of cleet and squirrels body shop bondo work.
New job ! Next time roll your tape around your spot it will leave less of a line but nice job great to see young guys working on there own trucks and cars !
Looks like a great improvement. Avoid the dollar store spatulas for the bondo work though.
What rims and tires size you bought for that truck?
Agreed, the wheel offset is atrocious, but the rest of it came out pretty sweet. It's a great little truck for some high school kid to drive.
Looks good fellas!!!
Very much entertaining the way you talk reminded me of the guy from the Big Bang theory lol
Cool video!
Fun vid ! Good vibes . How is the fish room!?
it turned out nice
What wheels are tires did you run?
Looks great
Que medida de rines traes? Donde los consigo
Looks sweet.
The transformation of the front end was amazing. Not sure I dig the tire/wheel choice. I love Wagon Wheels, but the spacing looks horrid with the street tires... Maybe it would like better with some All-Terrain, but otherwise the transformation was really good. Congrats
Good job guys! That kind of offset on those wheels is rough on ball joints but if you guys like them that's all that matters.
I love your videos keep posting plz bro
good build
What size rims and tires??
I think I would have repainted the stock rims black and used chrome dog bowl hub caps with higher knobby tires
Thought the same thing but then he let us know that they don't match.
Any idea where can I get a plastic bed liner for a second gen S10 extend bed ? Besides the pick a part ?
Looks pretty good, only thing i would suggest that is budget friendly that would look good would be to add some fender flairs if you plan on keeping those wheels for a while. All in all, right on and good on you for making that little pickup look as good as it does. keep it up!!
The lipstick on the pig worked for the most part but those tires and wheels??
Dude
Right?! I was loving it until those wheel and tires 😂
Can u link the wheels and tires please.
Good job
Looks like your in Spokane, that’s where I live too. If you do?
I also am fixing up a 2003 yr s10 chevy 4x4 , but extra cab
Nice work boys!

I like the wheels
I like the black Chevrolet on back of tailgate
Is it the 5 speed or the auto
I think you should show a tally of money and time spent as well as how much you sold it for
Can you give us an aquascape room update like do you still have them
Paint the bow tie and tow hooks white for sure
I would pull tires off the old steelies. Paint them black then put on new tires. But if you like that style it’s your truck. Just not a fan of the wheels. Good work though. Truck came out good!
Wheels and tires specs
what is the offset on those wheels? they are perfect for a little build im working on
Could have used JB weld instead of bondo for those holes in the bumper.
Dope!!
Idk how you managed to find a cheap decent condition s10. I could get a 2000 silverado for less than an s10 in california
Hacks of the highest caliber 😜
Swampers would look good on those wheels and a baby lift up front
Y’all did her dirty on the rolling stock lol
Lots of good work otherwise
Is it a auto or a stick?
Y’all that looks good on it something different
I used wood for my bed cover to😅 👍

How about some safety glasses boys
Where I live that things in mint condition😂
Offsets going to kill the idler arm lol
i think it looks great, but you talk about bondo. then you use it! need watch some PDR vids.
Me gustó mucho
Asperger’s?
Where are you now
I want to see him get back to fish and auquascaping
