Watching this vidéo make me think about fixing my Patriot instead of getting rid of IT
An alternative to replacing the rocker’s with factory stuff would be to weld in some 3x2 or 4x2 rectangle tubing to act as a permanent slider, pretty common on Xj’s. Awesome build though, i want to see some trail videos!
That’s definitely a cool idea to do the rock sliders especially if doing some rocky stuff. Glad you like it offroad videos coming next!
Outstanding.
Here before this channel blows up. The liberty is such an underrated rig. Yours looks great! Also slides while grinding is risky!! Lol
Thank you! I really appreciate this comment it means a lot!
And yes it probably wasn’t the choice haha.
@Outways believe me metal shards in a foot ain't fun. Ask me how I know lol. I go barefoot literally everywhere even Walmart but the only time I wear shoes is the garage lol
This build is very impressive for its price point
Your Liberty looks great! I have a few questions about your upper control arms; did you have to do any clearancing of the pockets where the bushings insert, as is recommended for the ARB control arms? Secondly, did desserts on the bushings cause any problems during installation? I read a few reviews on Amazon where people said they had trouble with the zerks, because there's not enough room for them in the pockets.
Thanks and I did not do any clearancing to the pockets the control arms fit but it was a bit snug but nothing to create any problems.
I did however unscrew the grease nipples on each side of the bushings because they did get in the way I used them to grease up the bushings and then unscrewed them and put in some little flat screw plugs I instead to sit flush. Also when bolting the ball joint to the control arms do not over tighten the thing that’s how I stripped mine 😂 other than that everything was perfect.
Can you go more in detail how you did your headlights?
Of course! These are the new lights a.co/d/0TTDorr
First, I heated the headlights to soften the seal and took them apart. I removed the halogen reflectors and cleaned off the chrome with oven cleaner. Then, I used a Dremel to modify the housing slightly for the projectors to fit. I painted the inside black, installed the projectors, and resealed the headlights using butyl rubber sealant. The original glass fit back perfectly. After wiring them I put them on the jeep I levelled and adjusted them and they were good to go.
Great video and the jeep turned out great 👍🏻 I bought a jeep WJ for 1k(U.S.) last Christmas and after some repairs have been using it for adventures and camping and I really like it. I may still do a 2” lift and some tires and possibly an awning but that’s about it. These less sought after Jeeps are underrated and very affordable. Mine even has factory lockers front and rear. I have some videos of it but they aren’t as professional as yours 🤣 Enjoy your jeep!
Much appreciated! And yeah that’s awesome they are super underrated considering what they are capable of.
Awesome! Makes me want to get a Liberty. Post videos of you taking it off road.
Thanks and don’t you worry I’ve got lots of off-road jeep videos coming soon!
Man this was a great video.
I appreciate it!
Thats mad
Great job! That’s sick!!!
Very nice! Lots of work, how long did all of that take start to finish? I have an '04 renegade with a manual transmission I want to do a bit of moding on.
Thanks! This build took a few months, but in total my guess would be close to 60 hours. With all the research and ordering parts it definitely slowed things down a little bit. The prep took 10-15hrs, and painting took around 3-5hrs, Engine work around 10hrs, suspension work around 5-8hrs,
And rocker panels around 10hrs.
Definitely worth it!
are the front turn signal lenses painted black is it window tint/plastic covers? I really like them, thanks
Thanks. I used “VHT Nite Shades” tint spray. It’s meant for car lights so it still lets light through when they flash but looks dark when they are off,
Awesome stuff.
Could you post some link to the products you used thanks.
Hi. There was quite a bit what products are you interested in?
