I make a boiled Christmas cake like that, the only thing not added is the eggs which get added when the mixture cools down. the whole cake takes 1 hour to finish cooking in the oven as opposed to 3 hours for a regular Christmas cake.
I use baking powder and jiffy lemon juice mix to a paste, brush it on leave for a 30 minute to 1 hours wash it off, also baking powder and white vinegar it the acidity that breaks the grease down, sometimes it may need to be applied when the tray is warm. Good luck!!!!😊
Sorry I started reading your reply and thought you was talking about the tea cake, I was thinking that would be nice with lemon juice then saw the rest of your message 😊
I just found your channel. I love your recipes and you have given me courage to try so much. I am from Bristol but live in another country. You fill my heart with gladness. Thank you. ❤
I made this tea cake today and it tasted good. I used Christmas Spiced Tea to soak fruit. Didn’t have right size tins so not so deep as yours. I used the Ninja Multi Grill so timings weren’t quite right, so I extended cooking time in 5 min intervals till skewer came out clean. Also clicked on Tongs link but it was a Chinese company and delivery wouldn’t be until 30th June! I’m now using your Roast Chicken Video and the cooking is going great so far. Thank you.
Another delicious-looking recipe. I love tea bread so now you've done the workings out I can go ahead and make some. Thanks Kerry ❤ ps try mixing baking soda with white vinegar as a paste and clean your air fryer trays with that, put it on leave for 10 mins and wipe off with damp sponge or cloth. Vinegar is great for lots of things.
Regards the grease which I had on mine, when it was cold and dry I’d rub around those bits with a bit of kitchen roll which loosened it up, you see all the bits rubbing off. Then I soaked in very hot soapy water and used my sponge to rub off the last bits and it came off lovely.

I've not had tea bread for years but that will be changing in the very near future! Thanks for sharing the recipe. I have a Ninja Foodi 15 in 1 and a Ninja AF400 dual air fryer, I've found Elbow Grease spray great for cleaning them. I squirt it on, leave it to work for a few minutes then rinse it off. I was rinsing it with a spray bottle and a cloth then remembered I have a hand held steam cleaner (cheapie from Lidl or Aldi - can't remember which) and was dead chuffed at how effective the combination of Elbow Grease and a steam cleaner is at getting in all the nooks and crannies around the heating element and fan. I love my Ninjas but wish they not so fiddly to keep clean.
Great idea to add the steam cleaner into the mix Mary, I don't have one but lidl were selling them recently. Enjoyed watching the travel trolls on youtube cleaning their bbq with steam cleaner and the pink stuff. Ninjas are fiddly to clean tis true😄I've been using bicarb and lemon juice this evening - oh what fun I have lol, not bad results either
Hi love your channel so down to earth and that t bread looks amazing will definitely be having a go at that. I have just taken the plunge and got rid of my cooker just yesterday l have a ninja dule and a cosori dule blaze also an instant pot and we just purchased a 2 ring induction hob hope I've done the right thing wish me look regards Elaine
Oh that's amazing Elaine, wowzers going the whole hog. Personally I haven't looked back since ditching my oven and only wish I got my induction hob 6 months ago lol. We are about to get gas/elec bills and are hoping they're lower than the estimated ones given on the bill!🥴
Hi Kerry..love your company..💐..my husband's Auntie used to make this cake..she called it 'cut and come again cake'..always a winner..she sometimes also added a cup of All bran breakfast cereal soaked with water/milk..😋x
I love how your husbands Auntie called it cut and come again - perfectly sums it up - it's a dangerous cake as so very tempting to have another slice!! Or 2/3!!
Hello kerry I've your videos over last 4 weeks thier great love all the things you make make my mouth water just after scrcriping to your channel lots love diana
Very like Barra Brith a Welsh tea loaf I used to make years ago I’m definitely going to make this when I next shop for fruit looks lovely and brings back loads of memories
I use spray Elbow Grease. You get it in B+M. Works a treat. I clean my baskets once a month with this. Of course I wash them each time I use them lol. You can also spray it on the element when it is cold then wipe it off and rinse it down with a clean wet cloth. Make sure you rinse it well though.
Ahh I've seen it in my local b&m Beth thank you, lol me too - always do a clean after each use but now needs a heavy duty job, good idea to make that a regular once a month routine like you do👌👌💕💕
Try bicarb of soda mixed to a paste and coat, leave over night, next day add some plain old vinegar, i use this on my cast iron pot. Might have to do a couple of time
Looks so light and fluffy, wow!! so cost effective too. No end to things you could add, such as spice, nuts, even a dash of maple syrup. Always get inpatient for your next vlog,Could watch you all day. 🎉Congrats to your ever growing Channel Kerry❤.
It's 11.30 at night, and now I want to make fruit loaf thanks Kerri 😂 I remember having malt loaf as a kid with butter, was it called soreen or something. I Havnt seen it in Ireland. I must check the next time I'm out. Another lovely looking recipe x
Oh no I'm sorry Lindz!😅 loved malt loaf as a kid too, staple 70s diet lol. It's still on sale here in uk supermarkets, tried to get my kids to like it but they never did🤷♀️why I don't know lol
There are quite a few reasons why I’m happy living on my own, one of them is that I get to eat all of the malt loaf 😋 I do go overboard with the butter on it though, a regular question I get from people is “so you like a bit of malt loaf with your butter?” I love malt, when I was little we would get a teaspoon of malt before we brushed our teeth for bed…mmmmm
Hi Kerry. I've been looking at various videos about cleaning air fryers. Some people having difficulty if they didn't clean the baskets after every use & cleaning around the elements proving really tricky. Best solution seems to be the good old baking soda, the same as we use on pans & other cooking equipment. Hope this helps.
Fab thank you Trev😀👍 I've got baking soda!! (bicarb) so will definitely give that a go, thank you for the tip, I had forgotten bicarb uses😄 I've always cleaned baskets after every use (washing up liquid, a soak then scrub but it's just built up over time plus cheap scourer pads lose their oomph quickly☺️)
I baked this today & scattered flaked almonds over the top before cooking. It was absolutely delicious. I saw you put the tea & fruit in, I strained my fruit because I wasn’t sure about the liquid amount. My tea load was so light but a bit crumbly, do you think that was because I didn’t include the tea? It was quite runny without the tea.
You are like me I grocery shop once a week keep a running list and substitute if I have run out of anything but a little forward planning helps but I never run down the shops to get something habit I learnt when living in countryside😊
It's a good habit isn't it Pru, to make do with what you've got, I do plan the meals and double check cupboards/fridges - a quick stock take lol before I set off. I've bought things twice before and that's such a waste of money esp when on a tight budget. I go around with my mobile calculator in the supermarket as well😄no ££ surprises at the till
Hi Kerry, your tea loaf looked delicious and was so easy to make. I used to make one years ago I got from Blue Peter, I must say the one you made looked better than my recipe. When you mentioned cleaning your air fryer, the other week i did some crackling in it but what a mess it made with grease everywhere. What I did was I stood it on the draining board, put some fairy liquid in it and poured some boiling water in it. I'm pleased it was on the draining board because some of the water ran out. After about half an hour I tipped it out and sprayed it with mr muscle kitchen and put some cif in as well and have it a good scout with those green kitchen scourers. I managed to get it clean, I then poured boiling over both parts. I also watched butler's empire when they were cleaning theirs. They used a dish washer tablet and lemons. They also used a spontex brilliant scourer, it looks like wire will but it isn't. It's non sctatch. You can get them on Amazon or supermarkets. Hope this helps
Aah thanks very much Sandra😀👍💕 I use fairy liquid after each use and tried the dishwasher tablet thing. Def need to get hold of those spontex sponges, prob got a bit more oomph than everyday green scourers👍👍
Hi Kerry thank you . This is an other one for me to try. Ive made Lemon Drizzle cake that you made 3 times now because its my husbands favourite and he's definitely a tea and cake person . ( thankyou for doing the link also to John Kirkwood's Chanel ) he has a lot of fantastic recipes on there. I always use parchment paper in the bottom of my Air fryer when I air frying and wash or soak straight away after cooking with a bit of fairy liquid and so far I've not had a problem with marking on my air fryer but then I never use spray oil in the Air fryer only brush a little oil on any meat I'm cooking . Think you have to treat them like a mini oven and I never sprayed oil in my oven . keep the recipes coming ❤
Oh that's fab Sarah🥰 the lemon drizzle is delish, love how it's a favourite in your house, your hubby has good taste lol. I've been trying bicarb with lemon juice this evening, seems to work quite well😀👍
Try soaking your Ninja baskets with Vinegar water with dish soap for at least 30 min then wash the baskets using a teflon like soft scrubbie so as not to damage the basket lining i do that on mine works fantasic.
Hi kerry if you make a paste with bakeing powder and warm water and either brush it on the draw of your air fryer or use a soft cloth leave it on for between one and two hours then wipe off with A damp cloth to remove the paste then give the draw a good rinse with warm water it works like magic i clean my oven with Baking powder as well as my air fryer best wishes from sue
Morning kerry hope you're all ok. I want to try this tea bread but make it in my Cosori 12 litre oven but not sure what temperature or how long to bake. Me oven is new so learning this new way of baking and this will be my first tea bread.🤔😃👍🏼💝
I have a different brand of 12 litre airfryer (my mum just bought the Cosori one) and she sent me this link so I can try the recipe too. Will do it a step at a time with baking so it doesn't get overdone - it's a learning curve isn't it ? :)
Hope it turned out ok Christine 😃👍 I'd say similar time/temp but very likely will need to add mins, whenever I've done a cosori oven and ninja dual cooking vlog, the cosori oven always takes longer than the ninja. Good luck!💕
@@budgetcookinguk hi Kerry thanks for replying, I did two 1lb loaves like you did and they came out really good, I've never made tea bread before but everyone scoffed one of them, didn't touch the sides, lol. So must have worked, lol.😀
Kerry I'm so glad you liked making the tea loaf and enjoyed eating it mum sometimes made it in little cake tins the ones you use for cup cakes she used to grease the tins but it would be easier put cup cake cases in but I'd rather have it in a bun loaf it's a pleasure mentioning tea loaf if you can get your hands on a bero recipe book the as dome lovely recipes init my dons favorite cake is a jam sponge cake with white icing on and sprinkles he's easily pleased love fran .ps I bet you can get the bero recipes on line love fran xxxx
It was such a great suggestion Fran thank you 🥰🥰 I can see bero cookbooks on ebay so def will buy one via there😀👍 your mum sounds like she was a lovely mum Fran💕
Just got a good tip re cleaning your ninja basket. Half fill with warm water and a really good amount of washing up liquid then cook on roast for 20 mins it should clean your tray. I haven’t tried it, but thought would pass over to you.
Gonna have a go at making that never had Tea Bread I'm asuming it's not the same as Tea Cake, looks delicious, hot soapy water usually works on the Air Fryer but you should never use harsh chemicals or abrasives as this will only remove the non stick coating, if that has happened you may be able to restore the coating by rubbing a little coconut oil around the basket and putting it on for 2-3 mins after every use, hope this helps👍
That's fab Ingrid, I dont think it's the same - no butter in this recipe. Thanks for the cleaning tips, never use abrasives👍👍 always hot soapy water, just tried bicarb and it worked a bit, next try will add lemon juice. Going to work my way thru all the comment tips, you all are a very helpful bunch😀👍💕
Looks delish Kerry. I used to clean my oven with a past of washing-up liquid, white distilled vinegar and bicarb of soda. I smeared it inside the warm oven and glass door and left it for about an hour. Just wiped it off with a damp cloth. I suppose you could do the same for the air fryer.
That's a great idea Kathryn thank you, so far I've tried bicarb on it's own (ok results) then bicarb and lemon juice (a lot better) will try yours next👌👍💕
@@kathryng6363 I read paste funnily enough, it's funny how the brain fills in missing letters etc. I like your method with the addition of fairy liquid and leaving it for an hour😀👍
Hi Kerry, I realize now the butter was to spread on the bread, silly me. I made two today and used currants soaked in lemon green tea for an hour. Not tasted it yet still cooling, will let you know.
@@budgetcookinguk it was delicious thank you and I also made your seed bread in my Ninja, again delicious thank you again I love watching your videos :)
Top tip and one I've been trying this evening oh the fun i have lol (albeit not cooking it - will try that on another occasion👍) good tip mentioned a few times here, as I had bicarb and a lemon to hand so no extra expense incurred (bonus!) Love how helpful you all are💕💕
Thx Kerry yet again for you bringing these nice n easy recipes to my attention no good for the waistline i suppose but gave up worrying about that😂 No soft brown sugar in stock so gonna just use standard granulated sugar Im no connoisseur slightly less flavour maybe but heyho. Great vid as always and thx for links to the tins and grips also👍
I’d just chill with regard to those burned on bits from frequent use of the air fryer. I think we all get conditioned to believe it’s necessary to scrub everything within an inch of its life, and provided it’s not becoming a fire hazard or smelling unpleasant, I’d spend that cleaning time with a slice of fruit loaf and a nice hot cuppa. Our forebears were much more relaxed about their baking paraphernalia and in many cases a baked on layer made equipment non-stick, long before the advent of non-stick coatings.
Have you tried a product called Blue magic it's a concentrated solution you buy a 500ml bottle and for general cleaning you put 10ml in a spray bottle then fill it with water but you can use it neat on tough stains like a cooker and leave it on for a while then rinse off. I think it works like the oven cleaners that you buy with a bottle of gel that you put the oven racks in and wipe the rest over the interior of the oven and leave for 8 hours.
I haven't heard of that Mr T, sounds good. Have been trying home remedies (bicarb and lemon - not bad results) but it's always good to have a truly effective back up👌👌
Hehe how weird I was thinking about that as well. The one I make is called Yorkshire tea bread. That’s is lovely and so tasty. Nice afternoon slice with a bit of butter on . Been watching to much James Martin got the butter with everything mistake hehe. Hope you enjoy as much as I do. Hehe did you make in 1lb loaf tin. You can wash in dishwasher have you tried that. I di mine in there every few washes.xx that’s the fairy platinum ones I use.
Thank you Karen😀👍💕 it really was delicious 😋😋 I haven't put the drawers in the dishwasher, worried it'll ruin them, ninja advise handwashing prolongs life etc. Have had some great suggestions via here, I know what I will be doing this weekend 😄👍
It seems the sides are indeed the most difficult part to keep clean. Someone suggested baby toothpaste but I haven't tried it yet. Many years ago I had a card shop in Colchester, small world.
Oh it is a small world Dawn😀💕 baby toothpaste! That is new but maybe makes sense. I've been using (this evening) bicarb and lemon juice with quite good results. Great tips via here, you all are such a helpful bunch👌💕
Hi Kerry that looks so easy to make even i think about having a go good luck with finding the elbow grease i tried B&M &Asda no luck also what is it with the toenail thing 😊
If anyone knows how to bake this in a toaster convection oven, please let me know. I got toaster convection oven because I need a larger baking area and did not need to replace my Cosori Pro II. It was cheap at the end of the year. I think it will be easier for my spouse to use.
I did a Google search, this might help😀👍www.google.com/search?q=baking+in+a+convection+toaster+oven&oq=baking+in+a+toaster+conv&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCAgBEAAYFhgeMgYIABBFGDkyCAgBEAAYFhgeMggIAhAAGBYYHjIICAMQABgWGB4yDQgEEAAYhgMYgAQYigUyDQgFEAAYhgMYgAQYigXSAQkxMTI1OGowajSoAgCwAgA&client=ms-android-samsung&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
I made I made this tea bread in the toaster convection oven using convection and at about the same times for temperatures that Kerry used. Baked in two of the same size loaf pans which Kerry used.
@budgetcookinguk It looks a little flat. Might have needed a little higher temperature than an air fryer. Also I'm using up old flour, which was kept in the refrigerator, as I learn how this thing bakes. It tastes good except the orange rind overwhelms the other flavors. Shot of brandy could help.
I got it from aliexpress, significantly cheaper than Amazon inc cheap postage, just have to wait 3/4 weeks for delivery. Fast becoming my most used Airfryer accessory www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004669520187.html They also sell the bowl clip and anti heat glove thing, they're rubbish don't buy them👍
I'll exchange 1 tip for 1 for myself :) first, for cleaning, try liquid washing soap, i use a cheap one from a discounter and it even cleans up the bottoms of frying pans like a dream. maybe hot soak for a while for the first use, but after that just use it like normal washing up liquid. now for a tip i need, can i use another liquid than tea ? since living in germany tea has a bad effect on me :)
Ooo great tip thank you😃👍that liquid washing soap, in my head I'm thinking liquid hand soap or for washing clothes? Instead of tea, how about orange juice or apple juice or a bit boozy: whisky or brandy! For nearer xmas!! 😃👍
@@budgetcookinguk the liquid for clothes :) weird, i was actually thinking OJ or apple. whiskey and rum would have been awesome about 21 years ago but sadly i aim to stay dry till the end ;) i have so been playing catchup on your videos , and so glad i watched the first one that appeared in the watch menu. i am also now saving up for a ninja, i think that will up my meal diversity quite a lot. you tend to think twice, thrice and more before using the oven as a single houshold. i have tried to batch cook and freeze, nothing quite lasts long enough to even get put in a tub :D
Oh no I'm sorry David!😂 tea bread keeps and I'm sure I read that the flavour improves over time😀👍 ooo I've added your cake suggestions to my to do list, it's been years since I've had a ginger cake😋😋😋
Omg I always message hubby when I buy something new for air fryers ,he works away , so I told him a few minutes ago , I’ve ordered some lovely cake tins they fit perfectly in the dual ninja , and a got a couple of ramakins for when you want to put beans or tinned tomatoes in air fryer , let me guess he said .
Aww that's lovely Trish and thank you so much☺️☺️its amazing, am bowled over honestly🥴👍💕💕💕
It's 11.30 at night, and now I want to make fruit loaf thanks Kerri 😂 I remember having malt loaf as a kid with butter, was it called soreen or something. I Havnt seen it in Ireland. I must check the next time I'm out. Another lovely looking recipe x
Still eat it, it's available everywhere in England, yummy😋
@@anneperry9014 I'm jealous now 🤣 x
Oh no I'm sorry Lindz!😅 loved malt loaf as a kid too, staple 70s diet lol. It's still on sale here in uk supermarkets, tried to get my kids to like it but they never did🤷♀️why I don't know lol
We have Soreens and mini Soreens in Scotland in supermarkets. Banana ones are lovely. 😄
Soak in soda crystals a d hot water . The video is on dri-pack cleaning chip pans . (No scrubbbing)
Used to make this thanks for sharing, will be making it now you have reminded me how nice it was
Aww it's a pleasure Queenie, thank you for watching💕💕
Looks really tasty. Love the crunchy sound of the top. 😄
Recipe looks great. Will be giving this one a try x
Thank you Maggie☺️👍💕
My kind of food , looks absolutely delicious,
It really was Maureen😋😋😋👍💕
Wilkos sell those non scratch scourers as well, I think they were 75p for three. Great for non stick pans. Eileen x
I've been trying bicarb with lemon juice this evening, seems to work quite well😀👍
I LOVE YOUR OOOOO'S when taking the loaves out of the Ninja and when taste testing 🥰🥰🥰
☺️☺️☺️ you do make me chuckle Michele 😄💕💕
I didnt know you can put cake dish in airfryer looks lovely
Going to try this looks good. Be nice with a cuppa. Thanks for sharing this 👍🏻
A marriage made in heaven that Stephen, slice of buttered tea loaf and a cuppa 😋😋😋😋 jeezo think I will make some more this weekend😄
Try soaking your Ninja baskets with Vinegar water with dish soap for at least 30 min then wash the baskets using a teflon like soft scrubbie so as not to damage the basket lining i do that on mine works fantasic.
I will definitely try that thank you Diane😀👍💕
Hi kerry if you make a paste with bakeing powder and warm water and either brush it on the draw of your air fryer or use a soft cloth leave it on for between one and two hours then wipe off with A damp cloth to remove the paste then give the draw a good rinse with warm water it works like magic i clean my oven with Baking powder as well as my air fryer best wishes from sue
I will definitely try this first before resorting to buying anything, thanks a mil for the suggestion Sue😀👍💕I've got baking powder 👌👌

Thank you!
I clean mine every time with oxi action that you use in the washing machine. It work for all burnt on well it does for me. Xx
Just got a good tip re cleaning your ninja basket. Half fill with warm water and a really good amount of washing up liquid then cook on roast for 20 mins it should clean your tray. I haven’t tried it, but thought would pass over to you.
Ooo that's a great tip thank you Karen😀👍will give that a go this weekend
That looks good, price point very good xx
Tea loaf is great, with butter and cheddar cheese
Ooo tasty Lois!😋😋
They look delicious 😋
@@budgetcookinguk I meant 'paste' though. Lol. Damn predicted text.
@@kathryng6363 I read paste funnily enough, it's funny how the brain fills in missing letters etc. I like your method with the addition of fairy liquid and leaving it for an hour😀👍
How did this work? Or do you have any other tips and ideas that we could try. What works best??
Looks delicious. ❤
Hi Kerry, I realize now the butter was to spread on the bread, silly me. I made two today and used currants soaked in lemon green tea for an hour. Not tasted it yet still cooling, will let you know.
Hope it turned out ok Lynne! 😀👍💕

bit of bicarb of soda with lemonjuice and rub or just add little fairy liquid in hot water and cook so then you go in and scour with plastic sponge

Great vid as always and thx for links to the tins and grips also👍
Aww that's lovely Mike, tis true about the waistline 🥴 am sure it'll taste great with granulated too😋👌thanks so much for watching 💕
Hi Kerry will those 2 tins fit in the COSORI and have you tried to cook the tea cake in it ? Xx
Hi Lesley, I've just tried and they do!👍👍not a tight fit either. I haven't but next time I will
I made rock cakes today after watching you make them thank you so much
Aww that's lovely Jean💕🥰
I’d just chill with regard to those burned on bits from frequent use of the air fryer. I think we all get conditioned to believe it’s necessary to scrub everything within an inch of its life, and provided it’s not becoming a fire hazard or smelling unpleasant, I’d spend that cleaning time with a slice of fruit loaf and a nice hot cuppa. Our forebears were much more relaxed about their baking paraphernalia and in many cases a baked on layer made equipment non-stick, long before the advent of non-stick coatings.
I like the way you think, thank you for fab comment 👋😀💕
I make that but my version is slightly different. I add the sugar to the fruit and then soak it. And I use wholemeal self-raising flour.
Sounds lovely thank you Glyn😀👍
Have you tried a product called Blue magic it's a concentrated solution you buy a 500ml bottle and for general cleaning you put 10ml in a spray bottle then fill it with water but you can use it neat on tough stains like a cooker and leave it on for a while then rinse off. I think it works like the oven cleaners that you buy with a bottle of gel that you put the oven racks in and wipe the rest over the interior of the oven and leave for 8 hours.
I haven't heard of that Mr T, sounds good. Have been trying home remedies (bicarb and lemon - not bad results) but it's always good to have a truly effective back up👌👌
I am going to make this
💪😀👍💕💕
Yum
maybe a stròng bicarbonate of Soda mix to soak then a stiff nylon bristle brush for the scrubbing
Just tried that with good results thanks Steve 😀👍 added lemon juice too. So many tips 👌 a real helpful bunch you all are
To clean any stuck-on bits on my airfryer with one of those magic sponges ( slightly damp)
Fab thank you 😀👍 do you mean a sponge like spontex (think that's what its called)
hi kerry i,m in Australia and we cannot get moltloaf anywhere and i woes wondering well ma bee you where up to it in the ninja all the best pete
Hi Pete, used to love malt loaf, will definitely give it a go😀👍👍
When do you add the butter?
Where do you get your paper liners from to put in ninja for your cake
Hi you could put soom mixed spices in it to xxxxlove your video x

Hehe how weird I was thinking about that as well. The one I make is called Yorkshire tea bread. That’s is lovely and so tasty. Nice afternoon slice with a bit of butter on . Been watching to much James Martin got the butter with everything mistake hehe. Hope you enjoy as much as I do. Hehe did you make in 1lb loaf tin. You can wash in dishwasher have you tried that. What happened to the marg.
It seems the sides are indeed the most difficult part to keep clean. Someone suggested baby toothpaste but I haven't tried it yet. Many years ago I had a card shop in Colchester, small world.

Baked in two of the same size loaf pans which Kerry used.
@@metalrabbit09 hope it went well!
Hi Kerry, my loaves are heavy and the fruit has sunk to the bottom. What did I do wrong? They haven’t risen like yours. Not giving up on my oven yet😊
Need fairly fresh SR Flour, or else add half a teaspoon of bicarbonate. Maybe you used plain flour?
If you like earl grey have you tried the lady grey t bags? Lovely citrus flavors 😊
I haven't Charlie, but I should 👍👍sounds lovely
You can skip the soaking if you’re in a hurry and boil fruit in tea for a couple of minutes and leave to cool

They also sell the bowl clip and anti heat glove thing, they're rubbish don't buy them👍
I'll exchange 1 tip for 1 for myself :)
first, for cleaning, try liquid washing soap, i use a cheap one from a discounter and it even cleans up the bottoms of frying pans like a dream. maybe hot soak for a while for the first use, but after that just use it like normal washing up liquid.
now for a tip i need, can i use another liquid than tea ? since living in germany tea has a bad effect on me :)
Ooo great tip thank you😃👍that liquid washing soap, in my head I'm thinking liquid hand soap or for washing clothes? Instead of tea, how about orange juice or apple juice or a bit boozy: whisky or brandy! For nearer xmas!! 😃👍
@@budgetcookinguk the liquid for clothes :)
weird, i was actually thinking OJ or apple. whiskey and rum would have been awesome about 21 years ago but sadly i aim to stay dry till the end ;)
i have so been playing catchup on your videos , and so glad i watched the first one that appeared in the watch menu. i am also now saving up for a ninja, i think that will up my meal diversity quite a lot. you tend to think twice, thrice and more before using the oven as a single houshold. i have tried to batch cook and freeze, nothing quite lasts long enough to even get put in a tub :D
OMG Kerry your driving me mad lol please can you try either a ginger or parking cake x i would love to try that tea bread but it'll be just for me lol
