I saw the picture this morning of the 2 doors and didn't even have to read, I knew it was you. Your high energy and enthusiasm is what makes you so easy to watch. Keep up the good work.
Those sunvisors need some tying in say three spots in the centre as the weight of the material you just added will cause the bottom of the visor to sag and separate becoming like a pillow
Toyota Hilux! I miss it so much, my uncle used to drive it and he used to let me ride in the passenger seat and take me to many places. That was almost 50 years ago. I also remember that the face on the grille looked like a Japanese devil's face and I was very scared. I look forward to more videos in the future. From Japan.
Yup, doors look sick! 😎. This little truck would be an absolute BEAST in all black. I get the look your going for and it too is very cool. But seeing those door jams in that gloss black. That is sick! Love the direction this is heading. 👍🏼
Tip from my mom. Should have flipped the sun visors inside out. Then used a sewing machine. Leave one end open. Slide in the sun visor. Then stitch that last side by hand.
@@austinniemela that's true, the one downside is you need a sewing machine. But hey, if you are doing interiors on more rigs, might pick one up a garage sale! Great work as always.
The doors came out beautiful, gloss black is such difficult color to work with but they look great, the upholstery reminds me of the old school tuck and rolled style, sun visors are the perfect match.❤👍😍
Perseverance and drive dude..you've got it. The hours to do that and attention to detail is commendable! You should be proud..and looking forward to the finish line. Good job!
Would you please consider making a video about air spray guns? I put myself through hell everytime I use mine, and wonder why I subject myself to such punishment.
Corolla! 1980, up to atleast 88 have the exact same window winders and door handles. Thought that would be helpful when looking for new replacement parts of interior.
I'm inspired. I owned an 81 4x4 Toyota grampa had it for 12 years my dad for 9 years an i owned it 3 years gave it back to my dad due to financial reasons an he sold it in 1 hr for $1000 at a gas station. I currently own a 88 had it about 6-7years. This weekend just picked up a 75 Toyota Hilux for $400. It's far from a project. Just binge watch the whole build. I would have to thank you for blue print. Can't wait to see the end result.
Another great video, this thang is looking sick Austin! I know you're gonna end up painting the outside or at least clearing it to seal that patina in! I can't wait to see what you do next to it! Keep up the awesome work!
Nice work, If your using old window channels, I find spraying them with silicon helps the window to slide easier. That’s what I use on my 89 first gen runner.
Love your videos and builds. The only thing I don’t love about this build is.... the racing seats. Not to knock what you’ve done, your build, your preference. And great work! I just think a reupholstered classic bench seat would have looked a little...more traditional I guess.
Beautiful job. Loved seeing the cleaning solution on the glass with the razor. I own a window cleaning company and that's how you do it. If the razor dislodges any debris that can scratch the glass, the solution will help carry it off the blade. If dry it will stay on the blade and potentially scratch the glass. When it happens you'll know. Sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Recommend you blade in sections, one direction, one line only. Allows you to stop the moment you hear a scratch. Running the blade back and forth willy nilly is asking for trouble. Anyway, again looks great.
Austin, listen to me… 6.5” Morel Nano Carbon speakers in the doors and power them with an AudioControl amp! It will blow your mind (and maybe the budget too 🤭)
Looks great--nice door panels from scratch. Re: the visors, one thing I remember from my junior high sewing class back in 198-oh my god am I getting old... Sew it inside out except for one side. The adhesive will be a little tougher, but you only have one "exterior seam" (whatever the name for that is).
Love the truck. Still think you should have gone with the cherry red or bronze for the inside of the truck. The colors you used on the suspension parts then the black diamond overlay would be popping out
Loving the content thank you for sharing I have an 82 Toyota but having some problems with it can't get it started cranks but won't start any ideas yota fam?
Tuffed diamond....HELLO 80's! =) Looking good dude! The only thing I would change it adding a bit of white piping trim to the edge of the door cards & headliner to add a bit of contrast/separation. (Think of it as edge banding but for fabric.) With lots of black, which looks killer btw, some of the details can get lost without something to break it up just a bit. Just a thought! If you wanted to try it out cut a piece of white paper 1/4" wide and the length of one side. Then tuck it into a seam where the panels meet.
Nice! 👍 I’m thinking of laying down some layers of Kevlar, for some bullet-proof composite panels. Probably a behind the seat panel too. Gettin a bit cray cray out there. 😎

Thanks man!
My hero, I have a 1992 hilux that I bought when I turned 21 working on today…more power to u!!
Quite handy with the needle bro

Yep, I think an all black exterior would look fantastic too.
Agree this thing would look mean fully murdered out!
Some sound deadening on those doors will definitely help with the window/road noise, especially on the highway!
Tip from my mom. Should have flipped the sun visors inside out. Then used a sewing machine. Leave one end open. Slide in the sun visor. Then stitch that last side by hand.
Great idea if I had a sewing machine haha

I was for sure you were going to bust out a sewing machine lol. Great work as always, I really like the diamond stitch.
rock auto or parts geek might have those parts you need for your truck

Nice work man. I'm asking this truck when you finished it as my birthday present in December. Just ship it to South Africa man plz 🙏

Dude, such a cool project and a great job! It encourages me to continue working on my 94’ Honda
And who says men can't make great interior designers! Well done man.
Thanks!!

You’re truly blessed bro 🙌

Putting silicone on all the rubber extrusions is super satisfying.
Dude I love your content! I'm currently deployed overseas, and can't wait to get back home and work on my 4Runner! Keep it coming man!

I agree, I would have kept t the brown with the white, but I’m in my 40’s now and know full well I would have done the same as him in my 20’s 😁.
Getting pretty good with that paint sprayer. Truck looks better every vid. Great ideas. Better results. Thx.
Since you opened the door panels, it was a good opportunity to put sound insulation material
Wow. Way better than new you are an awesome hard working guy just like your brothers 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Great Job!!! You forget sound dampering inside the doors!! Will help a lot.
Good, good job
Sound deadening matt inside doors ?
What paint gun are you useing ?…… I know a lot of it’s in the prep but wow, glass…….like a lake/pond at 5 A.M.
Outstanding job on the door panels and visors.

Austin, listen to me… 6.5” Morel Nano Carbon speakers in the doors and power them with an AudioControl amp! It will blow your mind (and maybe the budget too 🤭)
80's Hotrod meets 90s mini-truck
Wow that truck is just getting better and better. Great job mate!
Thanks 👍
Well done. Can’t wait to see what motor you use.
The detailed breakdown episodes, part by part, are a great idea. Thanks👍🏽
Great vid! Love the series
Any chance you share a link to where you got the rubber for the doors? 🙏
Loving the doors!! You should weld on a 10mm open end wrench for your manual window crank!!
Woow great work
What rattle can was used on steering column plastics? Also where was the door panel material from?
Really clean, welldon
What did you use at 14:42 to clean the glass ? What kind of foam was that and were you using a razor blade ?

You are an all rounder 👏
Question what wood did you use for the door panels?
شغل ممتاز جدا اريد شغل مثل هذا لسيارتي
Those Milwaukees do the trick, I love mine
9:00 i see a white door and i want to paint it black
think id rather get a shiftknob from likewise than a recovered one just my preference but loving the build its helping me slowly fix mine
Un espectáculo de principio a fin
your truck is looking DOPE!!!
Thank you!!!
Doors look sharp!
very nice my friend
Those locks on the truck are easy to rekey you should try
Can’t say I’m a fan of the 70s interior but nice work.
You do a great job, and we see the love that you Invest in the car!
Love the truck. Still think you should have gone with the cherry red or bronze for the inside of the truck. The colors you used on the suspension parts then the black diamond overlay would be popping out
