Redoing my son 2008 is250 sticky dash door panel issue. Decided to go use and work on it slowly and this video is PERFECT! To give me basic knowledge to start identifying the tool and skills I may need to complete this vs paying a premium. I’m jack of all trade so I love learning a new skill lol. Any recommendations on best place to buy replacement leather for door panel?

You place extra backing foam to make it softer when you touch it? First time I see something like that. Most fabrics here are ready for use with foam on the back. I guess that what you do here is better than that thing I saw here. Am i right?
Hello! The backing foam is to give the material a soft touch and to make it lay evenly on the hard surfaced being wrapped. You can certainly use a material that already has foam laminated on the backside. The material we used was not available with a foam backing, so we added our own! Thank you for your comment.

Reverse curves are certainly one of the most challenging parts to upholstery. Between having the material laminated to backing foam, using a foam with scrim backing on both sides, and a lot of patience, it can be accomplished.

I need help, Im redoing 98 4runner door panels and the glue Im using makes it impossible to tuck the vinyl into the crevices. Its like in this video but the crevices arent at the end of the piece, rather in the middle! I'm losing my mind!!!!!

We drilled out the rivets to remove the window trim, and then installed new rivets with our powered rivet gun, just using standard rivets. If you need any assistance during your project, let us know!

Harbor freight have cheap rivet set up that I bought for a shed project. You can measure the diameter of that interior hole and measure distance of the trim-surface & you can’t determine the size.

what is the thickness of upholstry foam and what is the material of 2nd upholstry?
In this video, we used 1/8" foam, our Dark Graphite vinyl, our T-1000 marking pen, DAP Weldwood Top and Trim Adhesive, and patterning chipboard.
