  • This video demonstrates 10 exercises that can be performed at home in order to challenge and slowly strengthen the inner ear balance system in order to treat dizziness due to vestibular dysfunction. Perform each exercise 10-20 times, twice a day. Keep in mind that these exercises will not help with dizziness due to BPPV and Meniere's which are treated differently. In order for correct diagnosis, please see your local ENT or neurologist. DISCLAIMER: Please perform these exercises with assistance in order to prevent injury from exercise triggered dizziness.

    So, short story. I had bppv 9 years ago, first bout, in the middle of the night. Then again this Christmas 2023 for 17 days. I started out by doing the wrong side with the epley, so the dics hallpike test is absolutely essential as the otolith in the canal takes up to 6 weeks to dissolve or 21 hours once out. So if it gets stuck it's likely to last much longer. These exercise in the post were useful because it shifted the otolith in the canal sufficiently to re do the epley on the correct side. 24 hours later feeling almost clear headed, first time in 2 weeks.

It's worth it. If you find yourself getting too dizzy on the harder exercises, stop, wait and repeat the easier exercises.

    I’m back to let ya know
    I’m free of all my Vertigo
    I was down fa 27 days, slipped into a depression, had bad anxiety!!! I want to live so I began to fight fight fight.. Mentally and physically. I went to a chiropractor 👩‍⚕️ yes, chiropractor he saved me fa real.. Then I went to the doctors found out it was my ears that needed to drain. I began to do everything to drain my ears. I spiritually took control of my life. Get your Shakras aligned and unblocked, believe in your healing process, you have to know your the God in control of your life.. I feel great!! And you all will as well. Take your life back.. demand your life back and go get it

      Envioushark O’ my I honestly feel your pain, like I noted, I was depressed as hell, crying everyday, dealing with anxiety, just wanting my life back..
      Draining your ears takes some time..
      I take Zyrtec daily, I use a nasal spray twice a week, I use a heating pad on my ear and neck area daily... find a chiropractor tell them your dealing with vertigo, get the treatment.. go get your life back. I had it for 27 days before going outside and driving. You will need physical therapy mentally, just so you can get back to life, like forgetting about the Vertigo. If I’m not careful I will get light headed 🥴.. take it easy and rest when you’re body tells you to rest.

    Using animation is superior to live action. The focusing on animation, for me, displays the movements in a clearer definition. I have nerve damage in my right ear and cannot hear. These exercises, especially when not sitting is challenging. Slow and careful movements is the key. Also, neuropathy of my feet creates more difficulties, but I shall continue.

    Why does my neck always crack the same way when I turn my head to the right? It feels like the crack is behind my ear and between my head and neck. I noticed this since early 2019, the same time I started to experience daily dizziness and upper neck stretchy type of discomfort.
    I'm getting an MRI on the IAC of my head/brain next week, so hopefully I get answers soon. Ugh, daily dizziness is terrible. I hope anyone who is experiencing this gets better! :(

    • @Mike09legacy
      @Mike09legacy 4 роки тому +9

      @@ivanvega2821 IAC and Brain has shown nothing. Every doctor has ignored my specific crack symptom and focused on the migraines. "Could be" vestibular migraines due to my wrestling incident exacerbating my chronic, since childhood, migraines. Going back on the lowest dose of Effexor every morning has reduced my migraines by 85%. Newest doctor said that the ongoing sensations in my neck seem to feel like spasms. Newest doctor suggested Botox as it may reduce migraines along with reducing the spasms all around my neck. New MRI on neck shows a small hernia that they said was okay, but also a small syrinx which is like a long thin tumor in the spinal canal. They said it was mostly nothing because it's only 2mm and there was no Chari Malformation. Thoracic portion of my spine was checked just incase the growth was spreading, it is not spreading but I have another hernia that is causing mild cord compression, the hernia itself wasn't indicated to be small or severe. I also have two bulging discs. My next visit to the doctor will be to access the thoracic spine results, potentially have Botox, and I dunno. The dizziness has substantially decreased as well, but there were moments where I feel like I'm about to get dizzy, but am able to counter it by trying to shake my head lightly and FOCUS. I know, sounds wierd, but it's the best way I can describe it atm. The specific cracking is always there, always. I'm at a point where I just try to avoid turning my neck to the right, and that's problematic. I'll readress that soecific symptom again and update you guys.

    I just start therapy a few weeks ago for visual vestibular. My problem get activate if I am driving like on freeway or driving faster. Like over 40MPH. Also got triggered if I am walking on wide open areas like the mall or big stores. Some of this excessive are part of my therapy. My therapies only use excersice like this but I hear some hospital use a more sofisticate approach, like computer base like visual reality. I do not get dizzy on any of this excersice basically when driving and sometimes if I am walking. I minimize my driving to only short distance away from highways. We will see how this goes.
