Over the years I have seen two ENT's for virtigo One gave me some Epley exercises that worked. Then years later I ended up in the hospital thinking I was having a stroke. After 13 hours in the ER I was instructed to see an ENT. I did and he referred me for a hearing test. The old exercises didn't work so I got back on UA-cam. This procedure has been working for me. I have to do it occasionally when I get dizzy. I still get dizzy in the shower and sometimes at the gym. But thankfully I found this video. Thank You...

This exercise is a miracle!!! I had been suffering from CONSTANT balance issues for over two years, ie all day every day. I had a sudden onset in November 2021 when the room started spinning and was hospitalized for several days first for uncontrollable vomiting and then the inability to walk. Although the violent symptoms resolved I’d been left with a constant feeling of being off balance which made it hard to walk “out in the open” or where the ground was uneven, eg in the yard, so my life became restricted to being in the house or only where I knew I could get a car park basically at the door. It also resulted in disabling fatigue. I’m only going through this history to emphasize what a miracle this exercise has been. After doing it for a day my symptoms completely disappeared. I felt something clear in my head after the first time. Within a few days I’d resumed normal activities, the fatigue lifted, I can walk with my legs closer together and the feeling of being off balance has disappeared. It is amazing to feel “normal” again and that I can restart my life. Thank you so much for this life changing video. 🤩🙏

I had severe vertigo for an entire summer ,it almost became debilitating. The first time it happened I thought I was dying ,seriously! I had to grab a piece of furniture to hold onto while I spun! The only thing that ended it was me vomiting ! That relieved the spinning .I was tested and had an MRI to rule out tumors, etc. It was determined I had meiners disease, and there was no real cure ! I learned to live with it ,thank God the bouts became less severe and less frequent . I have found that pushing in on the area just below the ear has been able to stop the Vertigo almost every time it starts up! I discovered this myself but I am glad you are suggesting this to people. For me ,pulling downward hard on my ear lobe also helps .

WOW! This has given me THE MOST relief. I have vertigo every month due associated with endometriosis. In recent months I’ve been having terrible episodes outside of my menstrual phase so bad to where I’ve went to urgent care yesterday. This exercise has helped me get relief in the matter of minutes. It didn’t completely eradicate the system but I will be doing this exercise throughout the day incorporating some of the other treatments that helps to give relief. However I need to know what is the root cause of me experiencing this. Thanks Dr.

i am new to this channel, but very old in dealing with cervical vertigo. I had to learn it all by myself after being mistreated almost everywhere -especially by the most expensive private practice doctors. I just watched a couple of videos evaluation is very positive- just common sense put to work. In the end, a simple neck adjustment works fine when things get complicated. But to avoid reaching vertigo, which is ALMOST a life threatening condition, one must be aware of one s whole body to detect slight dizziness... and THEN start taking preventive measures.

Thank you for this tip. I've been suffering from Vertigo for the past 3 weeks now, the worst were the first 3 days where I was totally immobilized and spent the whole day sitting on a slight reclined position since any movement of my head, specially when I try to bow my head, and my world starts to spin. I literally had no meals on the 1st day of the attack since I feel nauseated and just drank water from time to time. I was only able to eat on the second day and it was also a struggle, even going to the toilet to relieve myself was a real struggle and inconvenience. Vertigo is such a nasty condition which I have to live with for the rest of my life. And this accupressure technique was a welcome relief. Wishing all of you with the same condition the best of health and stay safe always. Be well everyone.

You just have to be conscious of your head movements and avoid sudden shifting or jerking of your head, specially when sleeping. I sleep either on my left side, or lie flat, I still avoid sleeping on my right side because if I do, there will be times when I'll wake up to the spinning sensation and immediately lie flat on my back and wait for it to subside. The hardest part for me is that I just simply can’t tel if I’m anxious, dizzy, or light headed. I just get so tense and don’t have a radar to alert me if I am in danger. So, I interpret that as if I am always in danger. Therefore, I feel as if I am lightheaded or dizzy all the time. Like constantly lol. All docs appointments checked out, all psych appointments prove anxiety, panic, PTSD, and agoraphobia. It’s tough to just take these feelings and keep pushing forward and not just lay in bed.

PTSD is not terminal. I say this because I've watch my Mom for years struggle with fears, anxiety, and projecting out comes based on something that happened decades ago. In her later years there were absolutely no chance of any of those incidents repeating. Still she lived as though they had just happened. We worked with her on just because something goes boom, doesn't mean it's a bomb. Every "boom" she would remind herself... "just because it goes boom, doesn't mean it's a bomb" Then, moving forward, let's take a look, and see what that noise really was. Over, time, with practice, and God's provision, one is able to disable PTSD. God be with you.

I started experiencing dizziness (more like light-headedness, not really vertigo) and major grief fog after my mom died last month. I got my bloodwork, it's excellent. This happened several months ago and I no longer experience dizziness, which, when examined by an ENT, turned out to be vestibular migraines -- a feeling like you're drunk when you're not. It was a sinus issue, and because of the stress of my mom's death, the pressure was causing the vestibular migraines. The massage + CBD oil + natural sinus spray helped and within a few months TOTALLY GONE, HEALED!! (Plus, the grieving from losing my mom subsided too).

I've had vertigo since last March. 3 ENTs told me it's probably allergies. Along with it: frequent loss of balance, fatigue, loud tinnitus, Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, nausea/no appetite. I have tried: 1) Neti pot, two different nasal sprays, and Zyrtec daily. 2) vestibular PT 3) lots of exercises on UA-cam. I have arthritis in my neck that limits range of motion. Asked an ENT if it could be cervical vertigo, he said no. Also said ETD doesn't cause vertigo. Should I try chiropractic? Do all chiropractors treat vertigo?

Dr. Gerstin...I have been suffering from vertigo. At first Meniere's popped into my head, but, since doing research, I realized how many different types of vertigo, there are. I have had cataract surgery, but using readers is THE PITS. I immediately called my optometrist, and ordered glasses, BECAUSE those ridiculous readers were making me dizzy. My glasses aren't in yet, but my dizziness is. AND, yesterday I began to see double, but not all of the time. Thanks for the video. I am reading all material on this subject. Note...I had surgery for 4th nerve palsy a few years ago, and did very well, but I freaked out when my double vision popped back!!

    Hello Doctor,
Just stumbled on your video and thank God!🙏 Having experienced in the past week dizziness brought on by having an ear ache/infection which has resulted in inflammation in my left ear.Which in turn may have been brought on by listening to music on a high volume (i know!) on my phone using the earbuds. Have experienced nothing like this before. Dizziness, being disoriented it is even a task to walk to the local supermarket. It is an awful experience to go through and feel for everyone on your platform experiencing this as well.Have been prescribed eardrop antibiotics to clear the infection. Just tried your exercises and noticed a slight difference. OMG. I'd been having on-and-off vertigo for over a week, since recovering from a bought of food poisoning. I even did the home test for BPPV several times, but neither left nor right gave any indication of extra vertigo.
This evening I was looking around to see if anything else helped. At 2:44 in this video I was following along, and discovered that my NECK muscles at the base of my skull were extremely tight--literally rock hard. Just touching them caused a slight vertiginous feeling, but a gentle massage felt very good. After gradually increasing massage pressure for about 10 minutes, my neck felt much less stiff, and I realized the vertigo was nearly gone. I'll see how it goes, but that's an excellent start. I don't have any muscle relaxant, but took some headache medicine to see if that helps.

I suffer from vertigo, and my symptoms are nausea, dizziness, ears ringing, ect. But what's weird is not too long ago, 5 days ago to be exact, my hands were stiff and I was unable to move them. I also felt nauseous and dizzy, which made walking difficult. When we got to the hospital my chest started becoming heavy and I was almost unable to breath. When we got to the hospital room hours after sitting in the emergency room, they saw my pupils were dilated. I still don't know the cause of all that except the fact that some of these symptoms was because I have vertigo. The rest they are thinking is serotonin syndrome. But the doctors and nurses still don't know what I have.
Thank you for reading, if anyone could give me an answer that would be very appreciated =)

Have been suffering on & off for 25yrs with vertigo. Have used night mouth splints to reduce bite while sleeping but even they’re not working well now. Have told many professionals I get pain in my jaw, left side of the face & the bone behind my ear but no one has given me any useful answers. I also suffer with neck pain occasionally with degenerative discs so I now assume it’s part of the cause along with jaw clenching whilst sleeping. I’m hoping more than ever your advice helps me, it’ll be life changing if it does. My question is, how often per day should I do this acupressure treatment? Thank you I’ll definitely report back with the results 🤞

Hi, I tried these accupressure points, the episodes have reduced. The day I perform these accupressure points, I have a lot to vertigo episodes, But from next day onwards I feel better. But after a few days it starts again. I also wanted to tell you that I have a swollen lymph node on the right side of neck, just below the starting point of the jaw. This had appeared approx 10 years ago, the same time when my vertigo episodes started. It has not changed in growth and no pain. I have shown this to a lot of doctors, but they say that there is nothing to worry. Please suggest any other methods to remove this and to stop my vertigo episodes. Thanks.

Thank you for the vertigo series. After listening to the all I refer to my original episode. I suffered a CSF leak through a crack in the mastoid area of my left ear. This came fro a fall in some lousy Wisconsin ice. It was repaired but things have not been like before.
Last week i exiting bed and the next thing I found was me on the floor full of blood. I said what happened? From what you explain it is not the vertigo of most. I’ve tried your head rest angles and that has worked the best. BTW two nights later I reinsured my face as gain not knowing how or what happened. So now I have a face to heal and a exercise or two to do.
      Thanks for you site!
