Today is day 36 of vertigo for me. This has been debilitating and severely impacting my life. I’ve gone to the ENT just to be told “wait it out” then back again and told to do PT and go low sodium. Nothing has been helping me. I found this video and while I can’t imagine doing the somersault exercise week 1 with how much I was spinning, I did it today and I felt better! I think if I can keep this up for a few more days I might actually be done with this horrible vertigo. THANK YOU THANK YOU . I honestly wanted to cry because I have been so sick dizzy and unable to do anything. I will keep up with this

I have suffered from this nightmare for a while back. It was so strong that I spent many badly slept or sleepless nights for months. I do not wish this to my worst enemy. The eppley maneuver helped me a lot but the cost was high. It triggered the vertigo so bad there was times I almost cried. It took a lot of courage to keep doing this exercises. But this is the way. You gotta go through the motions, Literally. Don't loose hope. As bad as it sounds it will pass.

Something that can help with vertigo as you are doing these maneuvers is to put in tight fitting earplugs or a few drops of olive oil and some cotton. This works because there is generally an increased pressure behind your eardrums when you are suffering vertigo and adding in either earplugs or oil and cotton, creates a bit of equalization from the outside. I have had vertigo for more than a decade and when I feel it coming on and I need to function, I plug my ears and do either the foster or epley

I went to the hospital after I almost passed out from walking and they told me the problem and gave me one exercise but didn’t seem to be enough to help , so I went back to this channel to see if there were any more exercises and sure enough you never fail ! Thank you so much for posting these exercises it’s really starting to help me get back to normal ! Been a long time subscriber to this channel and this is why 🙏

After about 18 months of not having any vertigo episodes I was all of a sudden experiencing some of the worst vertigo I have ever had. I was afraid to drive. I did the Brandt-Daroff exercise for 1 round and now my vertigo is completely gone! Literally 15 minutes of self treatment has freed me. I obviously don't know if/when it will come back but this has seemed cure me. I guess my crystals have been reset. Who knows what's gonna happen but right now I am elated. This is worth a try if you're suffering.

I first got vertigo in 2000 when flying to San Diego. A sudden drop over the mountains while i was retrieving my purse from under the seat set me into severe vertigo the next morning after waking. Hotel doc prescribed motion sickness meds and it got better later that day, but flying was not advisable. Fast forward, i still have bouts a few times every year. 5 years ago after the Epley maneuver, i sat down in a chair and it felt like the floor opened up and i was free falling. I held on and shook like a reed in the wind. Scared my husband. I get very apprehensive about doing any excercises now. Creeps me out. Elevator quick drops set vertigo off too. A lot of people suffer from vertigo. Its what caused the demise of my dear dad.

New subscriber here. I'm a couple of weeks shy of 70yo and just got dxd with benign positional vertigo and was prescribed Epley maneuver, which was described but not demonstrated. I tried it at home and felt like I was going to fall off the edge of the bed and had trouble holding my head in position, so I'm not confident I'm doing it right. It's a Saturday so I can't get in to the doc for a few days, and I went looking for more info and found your channel. Thank you so much for the demonstration and the helpful hints. I feel confident enough to try again, and I'm looking forward to feeling less seasick, and also looking forward to learning more from you. Thanks again and I hope everyone is having a great weekend :-)

Went to doc on day 5 and went through the eply and started to get better right away. I have mild bouts now every now and then! I get well enough to forget about it then out of nowhere it reminds me it’s still around! Fortunately it has been fairly mild but bad enough to keep me from being motivated to do much except exercises. This couch method worked really well for me today! Thank you!

After whatever it was left my body, I was still left with a horrible spinning sensation - it was like I was permanently drunk for 5 days. I suffered this awful nightmare for more than eight years. I went through an ayurvedic treatment to get rid of it for the most part. But I learnt how to stop the vertigo in a few seconds whenever I had a crisis. This was to spray ear cleaning liquid into the ears. Two squishes and you're done. Of course it's important to have this handy at all times. I have it in my handbag all the time. Otherwise, use a dropper and just put water. For long time relief use a few drops of warm to hot sesame seed oil in the ears say once a week to keep ears clean, healthy and devoid of inner ear imbalance symptoms. Clear ears with cotton bud say half hour after oil drop. Works magic! The exercises you recommend are extremely difficult to do when the whole room is spinning at lighting speed and you can't even move your eyes.

I laid on my right , affected side I learned..& w/read..before the event occurred. I was told to keep my head elevated above my heart when sleeping..ever after. Thank you for giving several methods of therapy to try for relieving vertigo. I suffer with it from allergies - sinus, post nasal mucus, headaches, feels like cotton in my ears, etc.
Problem is i also have tinnitus, & eye, head movevements & ( sometimes) even deep beathing causes tinnitus to sound staccato instead of steady noise. Also nausea with the dizziness makes me want to cry it's so relentless. I will try these exercises, hopefully they will be successful. Sinus meds helped, but now with heart issue, I'm not supposed to take them. Blessings to all who suffer ❤

Couple weeks ago vertigo hit me out of the blue. Never had it before, and never had problems with balance or anthing. But it was so debilitating, to say the least, that I couldn't move without help and severe motion sickness. Hospital had to stop diagnosing me that day because my reactions were frightening. They put me on a drip of ondansetron and kept me for 3 days. Still can't thru the full motions of these maneuvers and have to do very basic exercises atm and using a walker for safety. Even watching you makes my stomach churn LOL. But I can do most daily chores as long as I keep my head up (literally). I hope this resolves quickly.

I have to try these!! I’ve had this since I was in high school and now I’m in my 30’s, I get really bad dizzy spells riding in the car, especially on the freeway (passenger) Once I screamed out load because I couldn’t take it, I take Dramamine and at times Bonnie (if that’s what it’s called) they don’t really help much anymore and I tried getting help from doctors but all they have said is “it’s fear” I still remember how I got it (if it is vertigo) I flew for the first time and was fine until a week or so after, we just got in the car from a party. We were crammed in the back because we had several people with us and I put my head down and then that bit of claustrophobia happened and since then I had a hard time at first riding in the car in which if I wanted a haircut and it was a far distance I preferred walking and walking we did and that took several months to conquer. With nobody really helping me it’s gotten a bit worse and I don’t really know what to do anymore so thank you for this!

I had 26 vertigo attacks over 2 years. Found out how to stop it in its tracks, when an attack was impending.
I believe it's cause is congestion in the head esp in the lymphatics and sinuses. Anything else is just a trigger.
So I deeply swallow it away in half to 2 hours. I'm probably clearing out the sinuses...then swallow any mucus that comes down. After swallowing, instead of breathing out, I take a deep breath in to create some sort of vacuum, to help dislodge or move more mucus.
Since I did this for the last 2 attacks, I have been free of them for 2 years now.
Unfortunately I have been left partially deaf in the right ear.
My opinion is, that the rich 20/21st century diet and lifestyle in so-called civilised countries has contributed to the vertigo problem. Eg. Sugar, dairy and processed foods, esp in colder countries.
Find out about detoxing the body, mindful diet, exercise, plenty of water intake as an improved lifestyle to avoid these savage attacks on our sensibilities.

ty for sharing info for free vertigo is awful, my first experience was a month ago when I awoke in the middle of the night with the bed spinning. It felt like I was having an outer body experience and felt as if the I was levitating out of the bed, when I tried to get up off the bed I had no balance and almost fell my legs felt numb and my feet were also. After changing my diet considerably and with the help of quite a few chiropractors it has subsided considerably. Ty LORD for these compassionate chiropractors for sharing this info as I am 69 yrs old, with no car or way to get to a chiropractor for an adjustment. Praise GOD -YAH

I did this excersize 3 times today and will continue to do just because. I don't vertigo to return. It's horrible. Can't believe I suffered for years with vertigo. Once the ENT set my crystals I felt amazing. Good luck everyone.

I have tinnitus and balance issues for years, I have vertigo keeps coming back every 3 - 4 months, I'm currently on day 8 since vertigo started, it's absolutely awful, it's worse in morning and evenings not so much but it's still there, I was diagnosed with eustachian tube dysfunction and I was given a steroid nasal spray which didn't help as 2 days after starting that my vertigo appeared, then my doctor gave me betahistine tablets to try, it's that bad I'm housebound. I live alone and have anxiety so makes everything worse. I'm hoping this passes soon, so I'm able to go see my doctor and they mentioned referring me to a ent. The vertigo scares me so much it's absolutely depressing. I dread every day right now. Big hugs to you. Your not alone.

What I'm curious about is that there seems to be more and more cases coming out with this. What research is being conducted? I also read that colds, flying, carnival rides, also can bring this on. How and why are the crystals being moved out of the middle ear anyway?
