I literally have the same car/color. I’m having a small leak in that area too. I assumed that was the thermostat. Thanks for showing me what I’m about to get my hands into. 😅

Do be aware that a number of parts company's do make an upgraded Aluminium Thermostat housing for the Chevy Trax

I have a hole in the rubber hose that has that yellow tag around it connecting to the engine in the back what is that called?

How did you take off the intake line to get to the top bolt?

Could you or someone please tell me what hose connects under the coolant resovior

There should be 2 hoses connecting to the reservoir. A small on top and the larger one on the side goes to the radiator.

Is it possible that my Trax is just leaking coolant from the thermostat housing and that the waterpump is still good? Thanks.

Yes, that is very possible because sometimes those thermostat housing will crack

I have a 2017 and think mine isn’t quite as much of a PITA to get to. Hoping it’s just the housing that needs replaced. Quotes just under $500 at one place 😬
