These guys only did this folk stuff on 2 first albums. After that it's more and more black metal, i love all their shit some more some little less but these guys haven't done a single bad song and i've been listening to them for 20+ years now. Their best album is Verisäkeet (Roughly translated as Blood verses) and it's pretty much just Moonsorrow style black metal. Also, best live band i've ever seen, not a single person was having bad time there on any of the shows.
Moonsorrow is the best pagan band. They take you on a journey to the old days. But you need to listen to them only studio versions. I promise you won't be disappointed
Guys, I am so glad you loved this! 🥳 There was some trade-off with the live video versus the studio. The balance of the instruments is better in the studio, particularly the keyboard who carries a lot of the folk aspect. (I'm glad the "folky" riffs and chord progressions were clear to you anyway. 😅) Many folk metal bands use only synthesizers for the folk-type instruments. Live folk instruments, like in Eluveitie, are less common. Most Moonsorrow songs are a slow burn. What began as a leisurely plodding pace ends as this furious, almost-frantic tempo and you can see in the video how they are just blasting on their instruments. Other songs go from sparse to dense sounds, and some just travel from one motif to the next in a grand journey, but all just capture my imagination. Including the translation and your thoughts was icing on the cake. The music draws me in even when I don't know the story (which is usually for me for this style of music), but knowing it does help bring it all together. Thanks again and I'm sure there will be more Moonsorrow to come! 😎🤘
@dickmonddickelheimer9452 yeah I'm mad I can't have them on my Spotify list. I don't rank them higher than Moonsorrow but I knew exactly who you were talking about! 🤘
@LiveYourDream69 yea same with pandora. Overall I think Moonsorrow may have more good songs than Nokturnal Mortum but I think NM's last 2 full length albums are the 2 best metal albums of all time. I'm not sure if another band will ever release an album as impressive as The Voice of Steel was.
DAMN! I was at that excact show! Tuska 2003! I even saw a much younger me at the crowd! :D Still love Moonsorrow just as much as I did 20 years ago.
Una de mis canciones favoritas de moonsorrow, como para tomar unas cervezas antes de salir a la batalla!! 💀💀💀
Moonsorrow, I completely forgot about this band! Thanks guys! 🌀🌀🌀✊✊✊🙏🙏🙏

Moonsorrow good times ago
OMG - Henri with full hairs😂😂😂. Long time ago😊.
Kyle's Pasta. Moonsorrow is the 2nd best metal band of all time. We're not allowed to talk about the controversial #1 metal band of all time though.
Nokturnal Mortum?
@@RemyBonnici EXACTLY 💯
