Enclosed emitter, good battery life, you don’t have to remove it to change the battery, and it’s hard to beat titanium for strength to weight. Every option prior to this seemed to have at least one drawback, assuming you think that an open emitter is a drawback...

    • @inferninx
      @inferninx 3 роки тому +7

      @@f5tornadeau just make sure you either have a dedicated RMR cut because it comes with a plate that interfaces with an RMR cut right in the box, or if you’re going with the Glock MOS system that you get a CHPWS MOS to 509T plate. I have my gen 5 17 MOS with a CHPWS and it’s awesome. It sits really low down, almost to the point where it’s direct mounted. The plate also has a fence built in, so it fills in the area that the optic doesn’t take up. It looks super slick and is rock solid in maintaining zero.

      @@tomslinger6419 they've got to be somewhere for that still. Opticsplanet was down to like $280 last week. They're trying to sell all the original models because holosun made a change or 2 and are coming with a new version, or so I hear. Adding the third reticle option (circle only) is one of the changes, from the rumors I've heard. Maybe they took Aaron's advise and recessed the back glass a little. Haven't heard that, but it's possible. But for $300 these are incredible. I bought another one a couple weeks ago for $295. Paid $360 for my first one earlier this year. Love them both. Neither one is on a real handgun. One's on a b&t ghm9 and the other is on a rattler. It's perfect for both. Thinking about getting another one, or two, for some glock's. Can't go wrong for $300.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as I just reapplied the VC3 and tightened everything down but Ill be contacting them if it happens again. Who gives a flying fuck where it was made. 90% of everything in America is made in China, I don't see anyone complaining about where Iphones, Macbooks, T-shirts or anything else is made. But suddenly when it comes to pistol RDS specifically people get all jingoistic about it. People need to shelve their fragile egos and look at this stuff objectively.

    I have a deep respect for you simply because you used the term “jingoistic” and used it properly lmao. I’ve had too many conversations that start with “actually your wrong, that’s not racist, it’s jingoist” and end with me explaining that it is, in fact, a real word, and how it’s the literal definition of what they’re talking about.

    i have more holosuns than any other brand for my firearms. excellent optics in my opinion. i do have some of the other big names and the quality is damn near neck and neck. holosun just has a better price point. one aimpoint or eotech OR 3-4 holosun? for my use, the holosun is plenty strong and reliable. if a us company could make an optic at holosuns pricepoint, id definately go that direction but till then or the big names have a fire sale, holosun.....for now. great vid and thank you for the hard(fun) work you put in so we can know what to expect when we go to buy optics or any other 2A products. thank you again and you have my sub.
