As always, great review. I agree with you about the usefulness of the circle dot combination reticle for those who are new to red dot optics. Very helpful feature when learning how to acquire the dot. After six months with the circle dot combo, I switched to the 2 MOA dot and haven’t looked back!
Awesome review! I preordered one about a week and half ago so I’m glad to see the review do so well. BTW I love the shirt and want one! Aaron, you are one of 4 channels I follow but definitely my favorite for sure
recently found your channel as I've been looking to make the switch to handgun rds. Needless to say there is a treasure trove of info on your channel. Love the statistics and science background to your logic. And not to be forgotten; you have great taste in intro music.
As far as the strength of different shapes, yes, triangles are the strongest in compression. Circles are the strongest in tension. More important than the strength of the shape is directing forces around critical components. that's why the RMR is so durable. It directs the majority of impact forces around the lens - the most fragile component of the optic.
Just received my 507c V2 today. First pistol RDS. Now time to train and get proficient. Thanks for the wealth of knowledge on RDS, and vidoes on how to better hone our skills.
Absolutely amazing optic for your firearms! I've put about 15k rds through all three of my 508T-x2 and have no issues at all! The dot and lens is very clean/crisp! I highly recommend this optic from Holosuns!
Thanks for the informational video, Brother. I'm now getting into pistol RDS optics after years of rifle and sub gun RDS use. It's definitely a step up from Trijicon HD irons for my old retired eyes.
Good stuff, thanks for your feedback. I've been happy with the RMR and due to the durability had no reason to consider something else. I'll be adding a RDS to my P10 soon and will take a look at this version.

Can’t wait for these to get to distributors, just got done ordering the finishing pieces to a new carry pistol. This will be going on top as my first pistol optic

I sent my 508T back to Holosun on the 4th of May using the prepaid label they sent me. I had no problems with my 508T but the auto brightness setting that I don’t use anyway did not work. Since the competition season was put on hold I figured I would go ahead and send it back to Holosun for repair. Today, May 22 I received my return package from Holosun with a brand new 508T V2 inside. What a great company! I know its a Chinese company but I can’t deny how good their optics are. I have one Trijicon RMR and three Holosun’s. I like the Holosun’s better.
I know this is a year old, but I'm pretty sure its an American company with production in China. Like basically every company right now minus gun companies.
I love your reviews. I know its not a duty optic, but itd be awesome if you reviewed the holosun 507k once it finally ships, it looks like it could be a really solid optic for daily carry
I ordered my HE508T-GR V2 a few days ago because I've got several Holosun optics and I love them. Not to say my Trijicon and Vortex optics aren't great as well but I really wanted to add this one into my rotation. Thanks for the video Aaron! Keep up the great work! 👍👌
I know your comment was 3 years ago, but I'm just watching these videos. Did you ever get the Halosun is so, how does it stack up to your Trijicon RMR? Which one do you recommend? Thanms.
After watching the first Holosun video and purchasing one for CCW, I honestly was expecting to see the glass break after those drop tests. Seems like it improved in every aspect.

Have had mine on pre order for a few weeks, still waiting. Was thinking about the 509t instead but still debating it. It’s for Glock 10 MM MOS...Glad to see this awesome video on it
I researched them both quite a bit. I'd stick with the 508t v1 or v2 green or red reticle ( I prefer green on pistol dots ) the 509t is great but id stick in on a smg like B&T apc9 or ghm9. 508tv2 is the best pistol dot. And the new 507k is the best for compacts
@@brighthought11 Why is 509t bad for pistols, the size? The base isn't any bigger than the 508t, and I was worried rain or dirt etc. might affect the 508t

Oh well though, I’ll just wait the two or three years until I need to change the first battery in my V1 and swap it out for the V2 at that time 🤘
Thank you so much this review helps alot, as much as I want the trijicon it is way too expensive for me, I could probably buy another gun for that price. So Holosun probably my best choice.
I’ve had the V2 for about a month and a half now as Holosun was so generous to upgrade my RMA from a gen 1 to gen 2 and I absolutely LOVE the gen 2 even more so than the gen 1 now. One thing that wasn’t talked about it and I’m not sure if you noticed but when using a light, unlike other optics including the RMR, the dot DOES NOT lose any intensity no matter what setting it’s on. I’m not sure how they did that but it’s one of the first things I noticed about the gen2. Love it.
