    The reason I started taking Calisthenics seriously as a form of training was this guy and the show Arrow.... 9 years later I'm still at it

      Same. People bash arrow a bit for being a dumb show and it’s far from perfect but this show inspired me to start taking working out seriously

    The calisthenics that he does + wing chun , body resistance, warriors pull-ups , running , hand stands , is really longer than that !!! True athlete + great actor!!! 🙏✊

    I'm a Bodybuilding person, but i'm interested in doing Calisthenics like he did. Loved him on Arrow and he really motivates me.

      That's true. Never reflected on that but he did train not only for the Training Montage moment, he trained almost every episode like a regular human his size would have to do to maintain a physique.

    I'm a huge fan of stephan amell since 2012, when I saw his God tier beautiful body physic and I've been obsessed with his body physic till this day and holy cow I might one day upload my transformation video.
    Thank you for the video, it brought back precious memories.

    Stephen Amell is a calisthenics inspiration. I’ve seen videos of him dabbling in weights but he has stated he enjoys Bodyweight training the most.

    I saw Arrow intro for the first time in a plane to Brazil in 2015, and I've been into calisthenics eversince... I just knew that was my type of workout and I still enjoy it and the results are incredibly motivating.. the more time into it, the more I enjoy it. Arrow was a big gift for me.

    I do a combination of both weights and calisthenics. I prefer calisthenics because it's easier and more fun to do (in my opinion. But a combination of both is good because weights can be used as functional training which can aid and benefit your performance in calisthenics.

    sure the shape he was in for the first episodes wasnt realistic but the shape he was in in that outside sword fight in the snow is pretty sustainable i would actually say easy

    one thing I dont understand is how can you have a chest and arms like that and not gym with weights and just do body weight exercises, you cant have big arms and chest like that withouth training with heavy weights

      You can tho, have you seen any guys who do calisthenics only, they are usually fucking huge and look like greek gods. And are way healthier then people who do weights only, mixing calisthenics and weight is pretty much the best thing you can do.

      You can. Your body doesn't care, if it's your own bodyweight you're curling during a chin-up or dumbbells during bicep curls. It doesn't care if you push yourself off the ground during push ups or pressing a barbell away from you during a bench press. All it cares about is the resistance it is put under. Therefore you can achieve the pretty much same results whether with weights or calisthenics.

      Well clearly you can, cos he does, or are you seriously going to call *that* man a liar???? The resistance you are assuming can only come from weights is provided by supporting his own body weight and by paying attention to what he is doing rather than how what he is doing looks to others...

      Chin ups are one of the best exercises for bicep growth and dips are a fundamental tricep exercises. If you’re smashing press ups , dips , poke press , chin ups , pull up inverted rows. You’re gonna look decent . This guy , Charlie Hunnam and Matthew mcconahay completely changed my fitness goals. They’re lean strong and chipped all year round by literally just body weight compounds and running
