The guy Amazon chose to play celebrimbor doesn't scream bad ass elven Smith warrior in any other media than the games but he,a more like lazy luxury loving elven diplomat to me anyway
I love celebrimbore shadow of the war series which I thought were really interesting games in my opinion.

I really liked that version.
It might not have been strictly canon, but I liked the Shadow of Mordor/War story enough that I MIGHT have been OK with it being added to Peter Jackson's movie canon, with some necessary tweaking to make some things less contradictory between the game story and the movies. It was like one of those secret stories no one knew about that MIGHT actually have happened. (The thing with Shadow of War Shelob 'sort of' (but not really) being a 'good guy' with a personal grudge against Sauron was an interesting idea , as well.)
Yeah, I know it's blasphemy but I was really liking the idea of a Peter Jackson's Expanded Middle-Earth franchise, with these side stories occurring during the movie version of War of the Ring. (I really wanted a War in North movie as well , starring the surviving Dwarves and the Northern Dunedain that we never got to meet, apart from Aragorn).
Who wouldn't want more Middle-Earth stories?

@@jkdunk20001988 Studios have rights to characters and stories. Amazon was only given rights to the characters and events in the Hobbit, TLOR trilogy, and the appendices in the back of The Return of the King. While Celebrimbor is mentioned in the appendices, he would have to be similar to who he is there. If their version of Celebrimbor is like the game version or the other books in looks or personality then it would be infringing on their rights. That's one of the reasons why liberties are being taken with characters fleshed out in the Silmarillion which most of the people complaining about the show conveniently seem to forget.

This show throws lore AND logic down a volcano.
They sent Elrond to look for something he didn't even KNOW he was supposed to look for. And Amazon's mithril 'origin' is ridiculous. I'm wondering where they ripped that idea from..
And going by how the Elves have been portrayed so far, something tells me I'm going to be on Team Annatar..

The Celebrimbor of Gondolin is an early variant Celebrimbor. Not the same as the Celebrimbor son of Curufin.

First off they're not the old folk, second they're the FAIR folk, third they're the HAIR folk. What is this rubbish on my screen? A virtual guarantee I'll never watch that trash and confirmation I made the right choice to avoid it to begin with.
