I am a beginner and my big question was regarding what materials to use in a demo. So, if I understood correctly, you would take a piece that has already been produced and "personalize it" and use that in your demo? I've been wracking my brain, listening to other demos, and wondering if some of the VO's I was listening to had actually recorded the original material for big brand names.... Is it perfectly acceptable to re-create spots for my demo from previously produced commercials, etc.?
Hello a great video helps a lot...Do you think someone could make a great demo using home recording equipment or should a voiceover production service be used for demos..If a video explaining that is already posted just point me the right directions and Thanks for any help
Hey it's Susan Berkley. I took her classes many years ago in New York. She's terrific! Here's a demo of mine. Actually working on a new one. ua-cam.com/video/kiX97nl8e9k/v-deo.html Thanks Susan!
So basically it's okay to take other peoples work and redo it for your demo for people like me who literally have not gotten any work yet. Any tips on creating a demo with no experience. Please don't say get experience lol...
SarasDVS find someone with real audio recording experience. ..bot necessary profesional, but someone who knows a program and how to use it...work with them to make a demo...
Excellent video content! Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Ailyahwan Easy Dominator (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a great one of a kind guide for making money with voice over jobs without the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my work colleague got cool success with it.
I've made a list of all the successful voice actors I can find. I go to their websites and copy exactly what they've done. This is how I plan to create my demos and design my website once my demos are ready to post. There is no shame in borrowing from those successful voice actors who have come before you. I'm curious, since the year that you posted this, what kind of success have you had in the business?
Oberon Pan This post is a bit old now, so I hope you actually see this! I work in the music business and a very successful friend that has had 10 songs in the top ten Billboard Charts (5 of them went number 1) Said something I never forgot!!!! “Amateurs Borrow, But Professionals. STEAL!!!😂😄
Some very useful stuff here, thank you!
