You're a heaven sent
I speak off and on different languages, and if I repeat these exercises on the board by myself, I will surely be taken to the nuthouse.
I told my girlfriend that I was going to practice the tongue drills, she hugged me and cried. ( okay people, get your mind out of the gutter.)
Thank you for writing it down for us.
I tried these and a spirit appeared. He was confused as hell when he saw what I was doing.
Lol
😂😂
WTF MAN XDDDDD
TF, hahaha. It's so hard to laugh in public. 😂
Why ya doing him like that😂😂😂😂
I noticed after four days, for me, Immediately after my exercises I articulate well. As the day goes on my muscles revert back to their weakness. I’m excited to see what will happen after 2 or 3 weeks of consistent exercises. It’s nice to just have good articulations without having to force yourself or think before you speak. Thank you.
What happened after 1 year of exercises ? Is your voice becomes smooth and attractive
How to be black

Yo my man can we get a review
i hate it when u guys always leave us without updates..
Anyone else automatically yawn after he did?
I yawned after reading this comment.
hold your breath just for a while then you can yawn naturally
Yes lol
I yawned after i read this comment
I did artificially
But
I turned into a natural yawn
I swear this guy is the voice for Headspace
Jacob Bradshaw just another bald guy I’m afraid! 😉
Gonna try these thanks so much. I’m always jumbling up words, it’s like my brain thinks faster and my speech can’t keep up! 😂
how did it go?
Yes how?
I swear same here. My brain and my speech don’t align.
Hi, are you on the A.S.D?
Hi, I am also having same problem. i don't no how to solve this problem.. you have any solution to this problem?
These are really good and effective. My diction was terrible and I noticed a distinct difference after the first 4 or 5 days of daily practice. I am now committing it to a lifestyle practice. Thank you for this!
How it's going after 2 years?
@@imnooneh Unfornuately, I did not stick with it.

Actually, you missed the first one: yawning.
This is amazing.. I'll definitely be doing these every day.. 1. Regular Yawn exercises 2. Do lip thrills ... 3. Tongue trills... 4. Practice tongue twisters (focus on clarity before speed) .. etc
Well done. Let me know how it goes won't you.
Any improvements
Can Can U probably haven’t been excising
Definitely isn’t a bad student 😤

Lol, you should see the look my cat is giving me doing these exercises. "I guess he finally cracked... damn it, is this lunatic still going feed me?!"
Dogs at least join in when you make these sounds!
Well, you should've seen the look my wife had while I was tryin' these out :)
Oh My goodness, lol
Jajajaja, same! My dogs stared at me like: «Wtf are you doing, you bitch? Anyway, I love you, though». 😂😂😂😂
Same xD

thank you
Thanks for all your videos! I have issues with speaking too fast and tripping over words, on top of having a jaw surgery last year that changed how some of my speech feels/sounds so I’ve been using our videos to try and improve all around . 👏🏻
0:45 yawn
1:40 lip trill
4:05 tongue trill
5:08 Bah dah gah
7:00 Mah nah lah
Thank you so much for this.
Thank you for creating this video Darren, great content
this is what I need, I will do it, thanks for sharing.
As a spanish speaker, the tongue trills are really easy, the R is a really common sound in spanish words. On the other hand, at least for me, it's extremely hard to maintain the lip trills. I'll try to do this excercises every day, since I really hate the current sound of my voice
Legend is still replying to recent comments even after 4 years, Thank you ! I'm gonna start doing it now and I've had a problem with articulation and finding the right words
Your videos are very helpful, they will certainly help me improve my voice. Thank you so much.
No pain - no gain! Fantastic exercises, thanks bud. Beginning as of now.
how'd it go?
@@yerboiethan In addition to other exercises I had been doing at the time, it helped me develop speech muscles in a way that has facilitated developing a native level accent in my target languages. It's now just a part of my speech but it took a year or two of intense everyday practise to get there
@@tlilvanilla1845 Does this phrase "no pain, no gain" actually apply to voice exercises, though?
Aren't your vocal chords usually prone to being over-exerted, and even at risk of permanent damage from bad technique?
That said, the exercises mentioned in this video specifically shouldn't run into these risks.
@@LinkEX there should be no pain
Very instructive
This right here is simple and effective. Thank you for putting this together.
PERFECT!!!! I Loved it.
Thank you so much for these exercises. Just found them and the drills are such a challenge. I completely lost of ability to articulate, pronounce and speak my words. All due to a head injury I sustained due to a mountain bike accident I had in High School. My life really sucked for the past twenty+ years. But then, these past couple of months have been awesome!
Yoo. Your consistency paid off.
I found the first three exercises kind of relaxing to do in bed, haha. I just did the full set of exercises for the second time in 3 days, but I definitely noticed a positive difference in my ability to speak that first day, when I recorded myself narrating for a hobby project! Thank you sincerely for posting this!
Amazing exercises - I will be making these part of my daily routine. Thank you so much for your time and very generous wisdom.
Thank you so much for this 🙏💯
Thank you for the exercises! I just visited your site and am looking forward to your first week course. :)

Damn this also allows you to sing not just change your voice I was doing this to change my talking voice but found my voice opening up and being able to sing with ease. It has double benefits.
Yesss 💪💪💪
I havent been so excited about learning new stuff in a long time, this is great!
Excellent! I can see the effect immediately.
I'm a writer, approaching 30+ published books this year. Over the years, I've turned to dictation as a primary tool for getting my stories down. I'm more productive when I dictate into a Sony recorder rather than sitting at the desk and getting too caught up in self-editing. I've improved all my gear, outlining, and storytelling ability to where my recordings are transcribing well (I typically produce 5K-7K good words per day after editing). Still, there are a lot of errors that cost me time to fix on the back end.
I mumble, and I have really poor enunciation, although I'd been working (a little) to improve that. This is my full-blown effort to improve my enunciation and produce fewer errors in my dictation. It could potentially save me a ton of hours per month in self-editing. I'll try to come back and report my progress. :) I know that's what everyone wants.
so hows it going?
@@asap397 Pretty well. I don’t do all the exercises but there are 2 I do each day before dictating. Definitely helps me go a bit longer, and with fewer errors.
How is your journey going?
@@BillyBobsToe Still great. I dictate every day, somewhere between 5K and 7K words with a decent degree of accuracy. I generate about 100K of words per month. The editing is getting easier. I find that building strength in your voice is a requirement. I mumble and make more mistakes as the day goes on. Some of these exercises really help.
It's been 3 days since I started this exercise and I am very grateful that your video was randomly recommended to me. I had a hard time speaking because I have a GERD (Acid Reflux) that causes sore throat and post nasal drip that made me stop on engaging a conversation first because I am afraid to be laughed at everytime my voice cracks. Thanks to your tutorial, I became talkative after I realised that my voice won't do cracking sounds anymore even when I am singing high notes, my throat won't get sore and it became smoother on consuming foods and beverages. Once again, thank you so much! 🙏😭❤️
I also have gerd and my voice crack. can i ask what did you do about that?
Start to eat aloe Vera plant , cut out the Jelly part. Start empty stomach, than put it on your water cut small pieces, drink it all day . After 3 days no heartburn
Present.
My problem is %100 as yours, please tell me how often you do this exercise? And if you have any other recommendations.
I'm a teacher and I'm facing a hard time because of my voice .
Thank you for sharing your experience

Thank you so much for this video! Iv got a bad mumbling problem and these exercises seem to be helping. so THANK YOU!!
That's great news. I'll be adding an online course soon and that is really in depth. Posture and self confidence can cause mumbling too. All the best

I'm sick and tired of not speaking the way i wish to and I'm going to start doing these exercises daily
Day 1: done
how's it going?
Darren, just by having a British accent alone makes your voice a thousand more better to hear.
SoBasicReviews oh surely not! Maybe I’m at an advantage in the English language being raised in London but that’s too kind! Many great accents and voices out there! ☺️
Love it. Thanks 😊
Great Video ! Thank You ! 😊
Amazing how fast you can say those words!
I set it at 0.25 speed and he still is pretty _accurately_ saying those words at the end of his run.
I'd love to hear that!
I can't even remember the first line after 5 minutes.
@@ImproveYourVoice It reminds me of triple tonguing articulation (trumpet player here).
I really really enjoyed this video! As a business owner/ working professional time is valuable and I just wanted a few tips before I go into a board of directors meeting, prior to this I watched a UA-cam vid with a lady which was over one hour long and at the end kept teasing exercises- which didn’t materialize. Your video was curt, straight to the point and very useful! I love it! Subbed, liked and shared !
Thats brilliant. I'm even finding ways to shorten them more. Glad to be of service!
Very helpful video! Thank you!
Thanks sir .. amazing stuff

Thank you for this information. I have vocal cords that were damaged and my voice is weak and breaks up constantly. Daily people complain about hearing me. I will be working on this daily! I love speaking to large groups and I haven't been able to in the last 6 years.

This is a true speech therapy made me able to speak up a text fluently after only 2 hours of exercising. Thanks for the pragmatic approach! You're the best!
SOCIAL ORTHOPEDIST great. Keep it up, regular practice makes for more permanent results.
Hi Darren, first of all thank you for such wonderful warm ups. It surely helped a lot to loosen up my voice. Currently I am working as a marketing professional and sometimes I have to do voiceovers, one of my problem areas is diction. Apart from that I have a neutral and flat voice. Do you have any tips or insights for me on how to improve my voiceovers? I just want to develop a naturally upbeat voice as most of the voiceovers are for corporate videos.
Speak the text through with your little finger in between your teeth before you record. This will brighten up the articulation. Also if you want to get better. Listen to others and practice reading aloud every day!
Thank you very much
After a while I got something usefull for me on yt .. thankyou ❤️ will practice it for sure

This is the fifth video I have viewed on this subject and this is the best. I will link this to the people who need it. .. I understand every word you speak even though I am Canadian. I watch many UK UA-camrs but mostly I can't understand them. Scottish people need subtitles and that is not meant as a joke. .. And thank you for not adding "music" over or under your voice. .. I've done a lot of public speaking and one trick I employ is to shout at the people at the back of the room. I figure they want to understand what I am communicating also. After all, why else would they be there? .. Ta, from the happy colonies. .
@bimmjim Lol, careful with that shouting mate. You should aim to be heard at the back by whispering as an exercise. If you can master that then you'll never need to shout again. Speaking will be fine.
