Dude! I have had issues with this thing over and over. You showing how to lock the clip last and properly saved me having to take it to the shop! Great video. keep it up
After you install the new cable how do you keep it from melting on your have melting on your manifold I have had ford dealership replace it I have replaced it about 10 to 12 times I have bought ford parts and I have bought After I probably got over 2000.00 in replacing that cable ford dealership had no ancers
Great video!!! My shift cable broke while I was out of town. I had to take the van to a shop I was unfamiliar with. Before the cable broke, the transmission shifted fine. After the cable was replaced, I have had all kinds of shifting issues, plus no overdrive. I have 2 codes, PO750 & PO 753. It seems odd that the shifting issues happened after the cable was replaced. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance!!
Kinda weird hearing that vehicle start the same time it shifted into park, like someone turning the key and waiting for you to complete the circuit....
@@mt406mechanics Yeah, must have been. And I am probably the only one to notice because that's how we started this one to get it to the shop, manually shifting it into park. Good vid. Earlier body style had the problem w the torx bolts coming loose on the linkage arm, or the bushing wearing out on shift rod on the top of the column. Those I've done many. This is my first shifter problem this style. This melted the housing and cable escaped.... Saved me time. Thanks
This has to be one of the best and clearest videos for replacing anything. Thanks so much!
this video helped me fix my wifes f150. the only thing you werent able to help with was the 5.4 triton under the hood. not much anyone can do for that

Thank you for showing how to remove the cable clip under the car in more detail while other people's video clips are not as clear as yours.
Awesome video, you clearly covered everything. Nice job!
Thank you was looking for an explanation on that plastic lock clip under the truck 💯🤝🏻
Savior, much appreciated
Should there be a wire clamp to keep the cable off of the exhaust manifold?
This was a great help when I had to change mine.

Did anyone use pliers to get the cable back on the balls? I’m having a hard time just using my hand.
Hey brother, what is the name of that plastic clip shaped like a w? My dad needs one but we can't find them on part websites
I really don't know the technical name, but a dealership should be able to tell you a part #
I got a question what if top of P,R,N,D,1,2 the oranges not aligned what did I do
Put it in park first and put the e break on so the truck won't roll away
@@inspiredbynature5044Will do
