Happened to me in the badlands of South Dakota, Down a back road behind one of those scenic bluffs. Went to high ground You Tubed what was wrong. told me how to fix it, 15 minutes later on our way, replaced that switch on the brake peddle in the next town that had a parts store. Thanks for an excellent video with solutions for shifter problem. Mine was the bushing on the shifter breaking. The orange replacement bushing set in the Dorman 14057 works great with just a little shaving of the flange on the long end.
Now that 3D printers are a thing, I’d bet you we start seeing more steel and aluminum pieces again to prevent people from making their own replacement parts 😂
