Fantastic. Self taught viewer here. Started dabbling in acrylics during lockdown. Since I started watching your videos my dabbling has much improved. Thank you
Omg! Just as I’m suffering about no desire to paint, you begin talk of same. I’m going to have to note this coincidental moment! Inspiring! It’s the dog days of Summer with a gift like your work!🎉
Great painting of the little boat. I plan on ordering another one of your videos soon. I ordered the one with the tea cup and pitcher. I love it. Keep up the beautiful paintings. 😊❤️
Omg! with one eye! TY for inspiration! Monet’s best or Claude’s best was when going blind. I’ve wondered If I could paint better Impressions without my eyeglasses! ❤
Really beautiful Jane. Monet painted with cataracts too! You're in good company. Have you tried patching your good eye and painting with the cataract eye to see the effect? Wishing you all the best with your next surgery and don't forget to give your eyes a nice break too. Your work is really beautiful.
In order to have everything in focus, zoom in to the further point and focus the camera. Then you can zoom out. When you zoom and out after that everything will be in focus. Practice makes perfect. Practice at other times besides shoot the painting video. I loved shooting, it was my favorite aspect of video production when I was a producer.
Thank you. I know how irritating it is to watch a painting tutorial in soft focus. We actually had a focus issue with our old camera and have since purchased a new one along with new wireless lavaliere mics. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us. Appreciated
@@freedomofacrylicswithartis5133 that is great. Auto focus should work great on your new camera. Thank you again for having a youtube channel. You are such talented artist.
I really like this kind of painting, and the way you did this painting -- the colors especially. Would you call it impressionistic? Thumbs up. (EDIT: Just checked out your web page. Your paintings are fantastic. I see that you have a gallery in central Florida. A bit too far for me to visit, I'm retired in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area, but it was a pleasure viewing what you have online. How about a UA-cam video with some of your works? Like a couple dozen paintings with the video showing each one for 5 to 10 minutes. Maybe some nice music in the background. Anyway, great stuff, and I subscribed.)
I’ve noticed people who don’t deeply understand and use color theory shy away from umbers. However, high level painters use I see, use it in their limited palate of 5 colors to make ALL the other colors. They use burnt umber to darken and mute done colors too. I highly recommend getting comfortable with it. You can mix colors to create what you want.
@@freedomofacrylicswithartis5133 of course. I just noticed you had a lot of colors out. I think having only 5 colors can force people to get more comfortable. It is something I am personally working on myself. I used to use a bunch of premixed colors as well. However, mixing my own and learning color theory made my paintings more 3 dimensional, and deep. However, do what works best for you. It was just a thought .
I like to use Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylic paints. The brushes are Princeton Dakota Series 6300 angled bright brush #12 (1 inch) and #6 (1/2 inch). At my website, JaneSlivkaGallery.com, on the "shop" page there is a list of paint colors that I like to use.
Absolutely loved it this loose impressionist style is gorgeous. I was... was it out of focus or me, anyone, please. It didn't deter me from watching but would be helpful. Thank you for sharing!
Yes, it was out of focus, and since then, we have purchased a new camera. The old one was having trouble holding the focus. The first one filmed with our new camera is "Acrylic Painting of White Wine & Flowers.
@@freedomofacrylicswithartis5133 I just subscribed! I hope you would consider doing this or one very near it again? I so love it and think everyone would.
I usually rinse the brush between colors and wipe with a rag. Also, individual and paint color combinations are mentioned and titled on the screen during the tutorial. At my website, JaneSlivkaGallery.com, click on the shop page where I list paint colors that I like to use. Hope this helps.
I wish I could paint like you do. I don’t just use my reference as a reference. I can’t seem to help when I continue painting. I will learn how to be more painterly… Loose.

There were some focus issues, and we purchased a new camera this weekend and a better sound system. Hopefully, this will take care of the problem.

Use the sap green with a little alizarin crimson and maybe add phthalo blue. I would stay away from using black.
Hi from kuwait i like to ask what the color you use bag of the paint
I use cadmium orange light, cadmium red light or combine them. Every canvas I use, I always paint it first with those colors.

Having an issue with the camera holding a focus. Looking at a new system. Thanks for the feedback.
