I actually love listening to your instructions and fun banter with Jane and the peaceful sound of the ocean in the background. I have learned more from you then anywhere else. Thank you Jane for sharing and teaching.
I love it…..we ALL KNOW Janes favorite brush, hookers green for sketching….purple, blue, light blue with a tad of cadmium yellow for her shadows. This is peaceful and relaxing. Jane is the first artist I have watched that knows when to quit….when it’s enough, just stop and check later. I have been following and watching 3 days now, am brand new to painting, 73 but I absolutely love it. It’s wonderful to have the time to spend painting. Thank you both for this labor of love. 🙏 I have learned so much from you so, thanks again
I love watching you and listening to you explain everything. I really like when videographer Jane also chips in with information that you might have missed. The painting is really good as usual. ❤
I love hearing your thought process. Your commentary about decisions, unintentional strokes and drips, colours and ideas, as well as your jokes and banter with Jane, is one of the reasons I love watching you paint so much. I think if you hadn't done this video, I wouldn't know just how much of a difference the audio makes. I feel like I'm watching a song, but not really hearing it. My favourite line of yours is, "And I think that's all I have to say." That's how I know I'm done a picture, when I've said what I wanted to say. I also love where you pick something to "make it the star" and everything falls back. You have so many great lines that are so on point that if we just watched you (which is lovely by the way) we'd miss all that richness that you add. Thanks Jane and Jane. You've both truly changed the way I think about acrylics (former watercolorist) and paint.
Jane I needed to say you’re painting in the style my art tutor is fond of. I’m going to keep trying to loosen up. Thank you. ❤Colleen Australia. Central Coast NSW.
Gorgeous painting! I like hearing your voices and it helps knowing the colors you are using. Thanks for all of your wonderful videos! You two are so fun!
I like this Jane, watching you go through the process. I know others said they prefer to hear you. I prefer to hear you in the beginning and then the ending, maybe you can mix it up and do it both ways. Thanks for this, I don’t always get to watch you so I get more than one at a time. I learn a lot by just watching you like this, after all, it’s about painting, right? Love to hear you too, of course 😊❤️ thank you so much!!
To add what someone else said, can you figure out how to do voice over, then you will not have to be distracted by stopping your flow. You are fantastic!!
I love to watch your painting process - it’s so clear and so inspiring - I don’t need you explaining - you show it so clearly . The only info that can be interesting is the basic choice of colors, canvas size, brushes or other materials, varnishing or not. But that I would prefer as a PDF file for downloading - andas always it’s just so beautifull, loose and joyfull painting technique and style 🙏🌹♥️Happy Painting
I love watching your painting videos. I'm feeling inspired. I usually turn the sound off and listen to my own music. I'm watching this one to Kacey Musgrave keep on painting. Love you
Oh it's all about the painting for me, great work. It's a different approach but you know what they say " it's not how you start but how you finish" and you finish a lovely painting. Don't mind the silence ❤
Your art is very beautiful. I liked it with no talking because you didn’t seem to be rushed or distracted by having to explain everything. Maybe some background music would be nice.
I actually love it like this unless you are trying to explain something. I’ve watched you enough that I pretty much know. I’ve learned alot from you and the other Jane. I’m wondering 💭 does the other Jane paint too? I’m glad to see you. Was worried about you all with that nasty hurricane.
Thanks for your feedback/comment. The other Jane doesn’t paint, but she has learned a lot from filming and editing the tutorials. I think some day she will pick up the brush and start painting.
This was amazing. I loved this quiet time. Beautiful painting. Please do more without banter between you and videographer. Thanks. This was so nice for a change and you’re amazing
I am hoping there is a part 2 to this painting. I did enjoy just watching without comments, I wasn't sure I would. I am a landscape artist myself. I really enjoy watching different artists approach to a painting. Thank you for sharing❣
I'm doing this exercise & oh my gosh my mind is so stimulated! If this can't help me loosen up there's no hope for me😂 THANK YOU Man, are you talented. I wonder more about how your painting came about, did you start as a child? did you go to school? It would be so awesome to hear what color mixtures you typically use and an introduction to your whole thing. Anyway, really thrilled to have come upon this this morning. New subscriber for sure! If I had more money I would love to do one of your online classes. Maybe in the future.
I liked it. I watched and concentrated on the whole process. I also like the other way when you teach. Any way you teach is wonderful. Thank you for your teaching.😊
You are so welcome.! My favorite brush to paint with is the Princeton Dakota Series 6300 Angle Synthetic Acrylic 1" brush #12. My second favorite is the 1/2" #6 in that same series.
I love when you talk through the process, but I completely understand that it interrupts your concentration while you’re creating. Maybe try a voice-over. This might be the happy middle-ground between providing information about your process as you speak about the colors you are using and your thought process.
Jane, how do you clean your brushes after your painting is complete? I recently purchased a landscape set of Golden Open Acryllics. Just moved and setting up my art room soon. Trying to switch from oils.
Have fun in the process of switching to acrylics. I think you will love the switch. I clean my brushes really well with water. Occasionally, I give them a "spa" treatment of Murphy's oil soap and sometimes, I add some vodka.

Love your style and enjoy watching your process :-)...Jane, are your ancestors from Europe? There is an interesting fact about your name ... Slivka is actually a PLUM in the Slovak language. Did you know that? :-) Anyway, you are a great artist!
Jane, how do you paint the outside edges of the frame? I mean what color of the painting do you use. I painted one today and I’m not sure. Thank you in advance
I didn't use a specific reference for this painting but instead, I used many components from similar paintings that I have done in the past: palm trees, tropical colors, boats, docks and water.
I like your verbal instruction & interaction😁 I do have a comment on the photography aspect of your videos.... The zooming in & out, often you're painting out of frame, is very distracting/annoying. My thought is that it would be better as the viewer, to see the entire canvas, along with the reference photo, to make sense of your beautiful process. Of course, zoom in for particular points you're trying to make, otherwise, let us see the whole canvas, for perspective. Thanks. My 2 cents😘

Thank you for your feedback and for watching.

Wow very nice painting.i like you style in painting. I want ask One questions what colour the best to tone canvas. If any Red colour can or not ?
Thank you for watching and commenting. I usually use a cadmum orange.
Very nice
Thank you for watching!
Is this from creative memory or reference? Please
I didn't use a reference on this one, but I have done similar ones in the past and created it from my memory.
Love it! I like to focus and usually turn the sound off. Sounds like I am back in a live class with the brush and water sounds!
Jane, how do you paint the outside edges of the frame? I mean what color of the painting do you use. I painted one today and I’m not sure.
Thank you in advance
I pick a color from my painting and use that color to paint the edges of the frame.
@ Thank you, Jane 😊
Loved this too but miss your personality sharing ideas, thoughts, news, tips, and colors 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for your feedback.
It's the canvas that's making that clicking noise.
I'm not getting notifications for some reason. Enjoyed you new video
Thanks for letting me know! Glad you enjoyed the latest video.
It is back. Just late.
@@CurtisEaby Yay!
Are you using a source or is this out of your head?
I didn't use a specific reference for this painting but instead, I used many components from similar paintings that I have done in the past: palm trees, tropical colors, boats, docks and water.
Do you use a reference picture
Sometimes I use a reference photo, but this time I merged elements that I like to paint and did not use a reference phhoto.
Seeing her get paint from the pallet would be nice, I'm wondering why you thought this would be a good idea?
Not a fan! Seems strange!
We wanted to try something different. Thank you for the feedback.
Not my favorite presentation. I prefer it when you speak ❤

Prefer the occasional descriptions of what you’re doing and some of the colors you are using. Sorry
Thank you for your feedback!
This is entirely too quiet. All I hear is your bracelets clinking. I miss the chat!!
We appreciate your feedback. Thank you! We will both be chatting on our next one.
I really need instructional commentary; otherwise not worth watching.
