I agree with Scott. This was a great video. I didn’t do the belt reapply in four minute but work time was only about 5 minutes. Spent more time vacuuming out dust. Thanks so much.

NOTE: If you had the back of the machine off as part of diagnosing the problem, you can also replace the belt from there instead, though you have to do it by feel because you can't see either hand while doing it. The symptom I was seeing that got me to take the back of the machine off was wet lint collecting around the door instead of on the lint screen and the clothes getting hot, but not dry. I took off the back and tried cleaning out the hose and where the machine blows into the hose. That didn't do the trick, so I laid the dryer on its face where I could see the belt had been thrown and the pulley that drives the blower had no belt on it. Thanks to this video, I now know where the other end of the belt goes. IMPORTANT FINAL NOTE: However you put the belt on, manually give it a few cranks using the big wheel and visually verify it's seated correctly, if it isn't it could snap the belt or throw the belt again.

I have the same issue, and I took the back panel off, then laid the dryer on its face, but I'm struggling with placing that belt back on, does it need any strength? or am I doing it wrong?

@@iraqna100 I feel that the videos from AppliancePartsPros greatly oversimplifies what is required to get the belt back on. There is way too much tension to just easily slip it on and slip it off like what is shown in two videos that go over it (at least for my model).

2:46. What's the name of the part being turned with the left hand??

That's called a flywheel. Not all models have them. Mine doesn't.
