These guys were part of a whole crop of good bands in the late 90s-early 2000s who released one or two good records, had a handful of hits on Rock Radio, then just disappeared. Shame.
Yep. I would make an exception for Hoobastank, as they did have that big hit "The Reason" in 2004, and they had another rock radio hit in 2009 with "My Turn".
Adema had a really big rock radio hit in the late summer of 2001, called 'Giving In'. Reveille didn't have any big radio songs, but I remember seeing them open for bands like Drowning Pool, Fuel, Disturbed, and the like. Reveille was an underground act more than anything.
Hi Everybody, I'm a 55 yr old Black Man that LOVES metal. But I just heard of these guys about 2 weeks ago! They are/ were FANTASTIC! at 1st listen I thought it might be new 7dust,or no point, or Killswitch engage, but obviously I was wrong and these guys rock! Obviously the Vocals are in another Level but d bass 😱 omg , guitar and drums r excellent as well. BRAVO!!!!!

THE Marc Rizzo and no one else caught it? Thanks for those first 2 Ill Niño records dude. I still listen to them to this day. God is I is such a cool track. Jersey represent!

Saw them with Sevendust and Drowning Pool when I was 16... Their lead singer was there when I was talking to LeJon way before the show. Had this 10/10 gal, and didn’t introduce me with only “She’s from Egypt”. I was star struck... I wanted to get into show business at that second.
These guys were literally the most underrated band of there time. This whole cd was cardinal and my theme music. There musicbhelped me through some hard times. I hope they all doing well . Kudos stereomud and CL. Krh
For the most part the band reformed but they're performing under a new band name - Dangerous New Machine. The band Full Devil Jacket also reformed under the name A New Rebel
I'm 27, and I remember getting Stereomud's Perfect Self album when i was 4 or 5, and if you guys haven't listen to it from start to finish i recommend it. I miss this style of music, i miss this band, and I'm grateful i had parents that loved music like this. I would love to see this style of music return, even the style clothes they're rocking man, i miss that. And I feel like an oddball no matter where I go because I miss this stuff.
Joey-Z rules! I always thought if Life Of Agony was making albums during that time, they would sound something like Stereomud? LOA was never been affraid to try new sounds and while Robert was the main music writer, some lyrics fits in LOA music. I can imagine Caputo singing "Pain" or "Breathing".
I always loved this song so much one of my all time fav songs I remember as a teen I had this big flip mirror and wrote all the lyrics to this inside , I still have it too 🖤
2024: Where the hell have I been all my life? The 2000's era rock needs a comeback. And the direction that Halo's music should have went. Same with Guardians of the Galaxy even though I like both their soundtracks lol. 🤣
So I ran a tattoo shop in Bradenton Florida and was at rockefeller's the night this band came in rock the house I gave away several tattoo and piercing gift certificates which enabled me to hang out with the band at the VIP section until 3:00 in the morning when the Building closed I was nice enough to offer stereo Mudd to come to the tattoo shop called Lion's Den where we stayed doing unmentionables and tattooing until 3:00 in the afternoon the following day great bunch of guys
To those asking, Stereomud wound up breaking up because Columbia stopped supporting their tour while, at the same time, two members pulled a reunion with their old band. Singer went on to do a few other bands (look up "Love Said No Right by Me" and "Dangerous New Machine").
they went into the studio without 1 note written and bang! in 10 days they put perfect self together-whats all this balls with bands takin 2 years or more to scribe an opus?
Lead singer is in Atlanta now. He was in a group called Love said no, but he is in another one, now. I do not remember the name of it. He still does some of his old stuff. I think it is the drummer who is holding up any type of reunion. He is in Florida.
@MizerisMoney to my knowledge, no. singer is in Dangerous New Machine. Bassist is with his brother from sevendust. forgot the name of their band. Dark something
These guys Kicked Ass!, The Lead singer is in a Band called Dangerous New Machine and they sound Damn Great! And OCTOBER 28th I will be seeing them at a Local Club ABOUT 10 MINUTES FROM WHERE I live. Can't wait to see the New Band!!!!!!!!!!
I think I first heard this song on an ozzfest compilation CD I got back in like 2001 lol havent heard this song in longass tune...brings back alotta memories ...all that teenage angst lol felt alive back then...now I'm just a numb dude living day by day...its terrible
Corey Lowery was in this band, his brother is Clint Lowery from Sevendust. Corey also was brought into the production on Sevendust's Cold Day Memory album. I think the 'sound' is hereditary :)
JUST heard this on SiriusXM Turbo!! Had totally forgotten about this song. Then a few miles down the road they played Systematic. They were killing it today taking me down memory lane. I miss days when music didn't suck ass.
They opened up for adema and disturbed back in 2001. They only played like a 5 song set and I didn’t know who they were. I looked at my buddy and we both were like what the fuck did we just witness?? We didn’t even listen to Adema who was very popular at the time cause we went to talk to these guys at the mercy table. Told them, man that was fucking incredible! They were very humble and signed some stuff we bought. I still have the cd I got that day packed up.
Ok i need some help. Trying to identify a song but I dont know if its stereomud or someone else, but it sounds like Erik's voice. Similar to Sereomid's first album.....the only lyric i remember is.. "She said she didnt know which way to go, as if she were blind, she said she couldnt find jesus as if he was lost all this time" and then it goes into a loud chorus.....i know not alot to work with but been trying to identify this song since Obama ran the 1st time lol.

seven dust and stereomud has a connection. the lowerys..
God I miss bands like this. Early 2000s and the sound of the bands that came out....how I miss them. Love this song still today!!
Saw them with Adema, Systomatic, Drowningpool, and Disturbed.
Me too san Antonio Texas
Remember Cold: year of the spider? Such a good album
Thats an early 2000s dream.
I wanna go. 😢 Can't wait for tours to get going again.
Sounds like a fuckin badass dream of a concert 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Bring music like this back!
This is officially classic rock for the young generation, similar to 70s/80s rock bands being classic rock for our parents generation
Bring Post-grunge music back!
Sounds similar to Nirvana Alice in Chains
@@nolandavis2927 this album has Nu Metal mixed in it too

@@MojoMyDog666 Wasn't one of them involved with Dark New Day or Ether Seeds or some nu metal band like that?
Why do black guys always feel the need to say that they're black in comments?
@@James-if3kc Corey and Clint Lowery formed Dark New Day.
Ahh ha, a Sevendust connection! Kool!
One of my favorite songs from the nu metal era. Never saw the video for it until right now. Always loved the Sevendust-esque harmonies in the chorus.
I think Lajon is singing the backup vocals on the chorus.
Really???
Whenever I need to take a nostalgic trip back to highschool
I saw these guys with Systematic and Flaw, fucking mind blowing night. Wish all these bands would come back.
A very underrated band. Two solid great albums. I saw them in Tampa in 2001 d
I was at that Tampa show too and still listening in 2024
Good ol' days, love oldschool nu metal! Theyr style reminds me of Sevendust :)
+Paulo L. (Agr0z) That's because Corey's brother is in Sevendust
Marshall McLuhan his younger brother Clint is the I wanna say rhythm guitarist for sevendust

It's a pity these guys didn't last long. Their 2 albums are really cool.
