LYRICS
A universe to fill
I can't scratch the surface now
A slow pay still
Why's everyone watching
It's like I'm real tired of the clones
I'm real tired of the clones
Whatever you you say
Whatever you say
Whatever you say
Bring me the light
Make my life worth something more
Show me the light
Bring the light
Bring me the light
Make my life worth something more
Show me the light
Bring your light
Where's the space I fill
Where's the sympathy I killed
I need to find a meaning
I'm useless, I'm useless
Trapped inside my own web
Whatever you you say
Whatever you say
Whatever you say
Bring me your light
Make my life worth something more
Show me the light
Bring the light
Bring me your light
Make my life worth something more
Show me the light
Bring your light
When I'm all alone
I stare at nothingness
Painful silence, painful silence (Kills)
Bring me your light
Make my life worth something more
Show me the light
Bring a light
Bring me your light
Make my life worth something more!
Show me your light
Bring a light
Whatever you say
Whatever you you say
Bring me your light
Make my life worth something more
Show me your light
Bring a light

If you searched this, then you have impeccable taste in music.
Definitely one of the most underrated bands EVER!!!
I remember seeing them live around 2000, it was insane. always loved them. That era of arena madness was intoxicating
All I had to do was type w and it pulled this up. Sevendust is so badass. Great live as well.
I actually looked for a _waffles_ song, but this will do...
Tell me you're new to Sevendust without telling me you're new to Sevendust... This band is far from underrated. They play major festivals regularly.
@Brandon Hall bro I am the opposite of new to Sevendust and I can say that what it means is that they aren't talked about as widely in the general culture.
Asked a girl out on a first date to a Sevendust concert at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, in 2007, she didn't even know who they were, needless to say, we ended up married and are still kickin it 16 years later! No tellin what a badass concert will do for ya!
They coming back to tabernacle October! I’m going to see them for the first time !
Congrats
2020 and still rockin this shit. Hearing Sevendust in the late 90's early 2000's was a freakin privilege. Words cannot describe hearing these songs when they came out
+1
I feel ya on that, I was 17 at the time
I was about 12 years old recording Denial over tapes from the rock station (94.9 Zeta in South Florida now defunct). I would wait for the daily countdown at 5 to hear them. These guys are so amazing they take a deep hold in my childhood.
@Mfernandez429 I feel that my friend, I was 17 at the time, brings those high school memories for sure.
Still gives me chills to this day.
I can't really think of a more underrated band. All due respect.
Great live too
I'd love a Spineshank-Sevendust show!
Deftones, 10 years and yes sevendust
The first Sevendust song I ever heard! Still kicks ass 17 years later. Home and Animosity are permanently part of my car CD rotation.
+bucky468 Gentlemen, gentlemen, why argue, when we can appreciate them both?
+Agustas “Spoyodude179” Stephaunzz denial was my 1st there very underrated band
+bucky468 lol, the fuck they are.
Agreed :)
17 years ago?? Fuck, I remember buying this at Sam Goody. Goddamn, time flies.
I dont understand how I've never heard this band before. this song is awesome.
What rock did you crawl out under????? Funny dude!!!!!... You're pulling my leg...
Welcome to the fam lol. They been around for forever
Welcome
@Taylor Hynes I mean your saying that like they’re really famous cuz they’re very underrated
@Taylor Hynes He’s probably a young kid
Man, what I love the most about Sevendust, Lajon's voice is so damn powerful, and he doesn't even have to scream. Just very commanding and harsh.
kinda like Maynard Keenan's voice
He rocks it for sure!
@Mr. Red I would love to see Tool and Sevendust tour together!
Because this sing came out when bands like (puke) limp bizkit were topping the charts.
Reminds me of Corey Glover.
They're a great band. I'm military and have been away too much, Sevendust played a show in our waiting camp. They gave it all. I have not really listened since their first album, awesome, and I lost them after that. They still know how to rock a small crowd though, and besides playing, they give a shit about us. Thank you.
11 years ago I was leaving Iraq. Brother, you know exactly what this song touches in us.
Great to know that they give back. Didn't know this about the band! Very Cool and your Service is so very appreciated! Welcome Home.
Only Pogs got this kind of sht
One of the first concerts I went to Sevendust filled the spot of a band that canceled last minute, and they went hard for us to make up for it.
These guys helped me burn out the rage and resentment I had as a kid be it while skateboarding, MMA or in my room trying to release pent up feelings as a loner/Outcast teen. Not sure how to explain it but these guys hold a special place in my memories and heart and I cant thank them enough for being the voice that shouted everything I felt inside. You have my eternal respect.
Nice! For me that was Linkin Park as a 90's skater kid. But Sevendust is gnarly in their own right. I really like JW's powerful voice.
It was definitely refreshing to hear the wave of heavy bands getting a shot which offset the surge of bubblegum bullshit overtaking the airwaves. Deftones, Tool & APC, Incubus, System of a Down, RATM, even Kid Rock before he turned sellout shitkicker cowboy. Also some lesser known bands at the time: Taproot, Reveille, Cold & Chevelle.
It was awesome to hear so much good music being created. It felt like every single time I went to the record store I would find some other awesome band I'd yet to discover.
IM WITH YOU
@west coast Im genuinely happy for u and am grateful for the peak into your shadow world. I, like millions of others, also know how suffocating those dark places can get, and how difficult the struggle can be to get to the other side. But most importantly u inspire hope in the hearts of the lost and lonely. Keep shining. The warmth radiating from your light will help lead the way.
@West Coast Vibes, Dude I had a ton a friends as a kid growing up through my teens as well but now at age 30 it's the most hardest thing to find... a friend who shares the same values, music, and all down a good person. Most people seem faker than usual these days but I feel ya man the loneliness can literally eat a person up from the inside out. I'm not a bad person at all whatsoever but I can't find a person I can click with or just kick it somewhere, it's sad really... but I know it's making me stronger especially getting over this very bad break up
Yeah that hurts alot as well. But know you aren't the only one bro. Wish ya well. Oh and If you aren't already trying giving yourself a workout when feeling frustrated, but I'm guessing you're already do that. Lol sorry for rambling on but your comment brought me back to my reality.
As a black person I've been with rock and metal since a kid then switched to rap than got tired of rap back to this
Rap has its place in nightclubs. Sevendust songs are for the home and car stereo.
Listen to both you aint wrong for that
I'm im between. Depends on mood and mind set.
Tavaugheya Cannon tried getting into rap music because all of my friends are into it but I got really bored of it and I came back to this and race has nothing with what music you like
@Morphical I think its funny when people try to limit a persons ability to enjoy certain music genres based off of race. Then all the black guys are surprised when I can recite their favorite rap song. Like yea bro, I got a brain with memory capabilities also!
01:10 That riff in the chorus is so rythmically tasty and that heavy groove is great
Arguably the most underrated band of all time.
You sir are very correct in that statement
Kings X and Vertical Horizon too
Another band with a black lead vocalist holds title of most underrated band......KINGS X
This man's voice is crazy even live its the best I've ever heard!! Soo true!!!
One of Sevendust's biggest songs ever! Lajon and Morgan providing vocals that kill!
This band is one of the prime examples of mid-to-late 90's through early 2000s' actual really GOOD music.
I can't believe this song is 21 years old.
This is Sevendust’s best song. Completely embodies every part of their sound and strengths. The epitome of their power. No one else can sound like them 😎🖤🤘🏻 Seeing them perform this live multiple times is heaven.
I don't know Angel son is right up there!
This band is the prime example of how to maintain quality throughout a lenghty career. They were, and still are, perfect.
I love watching Morgan going crazy on the drums. He's awesome to see live! Love the whole band!
Soulful voice and metal. Awesome combo!
Handsome Bastard yes
Lajon is one of the best. Awesome live band !
Hell yeah 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
Nu-metal
STILL a kick@ss tune. I just can't get enough of this. Literally listen to it everyday. One of the best ever...
This song will get you out of depression instantly!
I’m a middle aged mom of 3 in a Midwest country setting. All my friends listen to country & are unhealthy. I watched 2 friends fade away recently to cancer, one is close to her end on kidney dialysis & diabetes. Your music 🎶 gives me power & focus to get things done like cooking healthy food & working out, getting out the stress…🙏🎶
“Angel son “ will definitely hit ! It’s such a touching / beautiful song with so much meaning
This is fucking fire !! I think these guys were unlucky and way ahead of their time. Lot of talent in this band which was a rare thing when these guys were rocking.
I played football all four years in high school, 2 in college, 11 years of rugby through college and club teams, and I got my ass completely kicked during a Sevendust mosh pit. Absolutely amazing.
I've been a huge fan since 1995. I've got to do security for several of their shows the past few years. I still like them as much as the first time I heard them.
Saw them in sacramento, ca back in 95. instant fan.
Fuck yeah!
First saw them supporting Megadeth, "Cryptic Writings tour" fucking amazing
Saw these guys live so many times. Great shows and great times.
I've seen them twice myself, FUCK YEAH!!!
Totally honest, I just recently found this awesome group and they are definitely becoming one of my new favs. I know they have been around a while, just recently got into this genre of heavier music and going down all sorts of rabbit holes with different artists from this type.
Aw man welcome to the Sevendust family I discovered them back in 2014 when I was a sophomore in high school
A universe to fill

If THAT song doesn’t get you going, well then there’s something seriously wrong with you! That song can do NO wrong! ❤️
Everyone in the band are so 90's badass looking and it's awesome
Love this album!!!
Kicks just the right amount of ass!!! 👍🎸🎶
How can so many Sevendust songs have so few likes??? Criminally under rated
I like waffles.
I like this song.
Coincidence? I think NOT.
Illuminati confirmed
You read my mind. Eggo.....here I come! lol
hlf lf 3 comformdddd
@Kurtis Rogers Finally! HL3!
What😂😂
I love this band! I never forgot this song! It was one of my favorites!
Guaranteed street cred band. If you know and appreciate 7dust than you’re cool in my books
I like this so much. The drums and guitar goes hard.
Drummers a fuckin badass for sure.
Fuck yes
They rock! Their singer is what sets this band apart for me
Why talk about the drums or guitars? When the singer(Lajon or LJ) goes harder then both.
Um Vinnie The Boss also kills this!
Listening to all this old Sevendust tonight, and this has gotta be my fave. The way it goes from melodic slow to harder riffs is impeccable.
The thing I love most about this band is what you see is what you get. They sound exactly the same live as they do on their CD.
Lajon is great! Sevendust is amazing live. He sees you getting pumped up.. And you can see him inspired... And eye contact gets that adrenaline pumping!
Jennifer Campbell | Going to my first 7Dust show in ATL in December. Your comment has made my heart pound in anticipation! 🔥💯🔥
Best band In the 90´s hands down. Heavy and extremely musical.
My first introduction to them was at a Disturbed concert. Loved it.
This was the song that got me into Sevendust. My first concert was in 2001 with over 20 concerts since then, this band still my #1
This song is so freaking good. I first heard Sevendust back in 1997 on a compilation CD. I bought their CD and then saw them live. They rock.
Great song ! Great band!
Sevendust is one of the most underrated Bands out there. Just listen to them and you are hooked. Hard, Harsh, Smooth, Flowing, and more are all part of what makes this band so great!
I've only had the chance to see them live one time and it was great.
Thanks for everything you guys do!
this song will really touch your soul
I've seen these guys about a dozen times, always an amazing show. Such an underrated band, the vocals are amazing 🤟
I been hooked on this song for the last month can't stop listening to it. Love sevendust
How have I not heard of this band before?! They're awesome!
I don't know how you managed that lol. Ever hear of Red or Breaking Benjamin? You probably would like them too.
I loved it!
Always loved this song.
this song is badass...still. sevendust is such a great band. gotta be my favorite.
Favorite song of all time. Sevendust Will always have a special place in my heart 💜
Sevendust es una gran banda..😎🖤🔥🎵🎶🇵🇪🤘🏻
I have always been a fan of Sevendust
I agree sevendust is an underrated band but i also believe there songs are the greatest
This early 2000 sound 🤤
Broo, you killed this song, pumped me right up lol. you were in the right in the pocket with your vibe. You should be cracking that bottle behind you , to celebrate!.👌
This band needs more credit for all their good songs 100% great songs 🎸🏍🌲🌴🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌴🕎👌🏼🤘🏼
kind of song that never gets old!!!... damn!
This is one of my favorite music videos. Goes perfectly with the genius of this song. So many of us have experienced these underground transitions in our lives.
Filmed in Soho Manhattan. I been to the area plenty times.
@Miguel Thank you for telling me where it was filmed.
Their style is to be forever untouched. God this so Raw!
Just discovered them this year. They are just what I needed. Hopefully we keep seeing stuff come out from this outstanding group.
Yooo was at concert yesterday and it was badass keep rockin sevendust
Best night of my life when Lajon stage dived and his boot hit me straight in the side of the head 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Awesome song with lyrics that meant something.
One of the loudest live bands ever!! These guys are amazing🤘❤😎
Life altering happening at 20 on some shrooms with this song 😊
SO DOPE!! I've been seeing a lot of people show this band love lately. It's well deserved! 🤘🏻
I'm 48 and this song still makes me feel like a bear that can fight two bears.
*beers
First Sevendust song I heard and I was instantly hooked. Got the privilege of seeing them live during their acoustic tour before Seasons dropped. They are great even without the amps lol. One question I've always wanted to ask and have answered is why Waffle? There's gotta be a story there or something.
I had never thought about it before but you got me thinking too. Why waffle? The best I can come up with is that it seems like it's about being stuck in a rut in life, needing something more out of life. The holes in a waffle are kinda like a rut for the butter or syrup, once it gets in there it's pretty much stuck and hard to get out.
Plus everyone loves waffles because they're awesome and so is this song.
@Zach TheRipper I don't know if this is the reason, but your Waffle logic is so top notch that I can honestly see that as being the reason. Cuz who doesn't love waffles? Or this song?
One of the best bands ive seen live. they give 1,000 percent in a show.
I've seen these guys at least 10 times and have had the chance to meet them years back! Great guys and an awesome live band!
One of those songs I always come back to.
So slept on in 2022. I was always so blown away at how talented they were vs how famous they SHOULD have become! I don't know why they didn't blow up so much harder
Have enjoyed these guys since high school. Loved this song then, and I enjoy it as much 18 years later. Sevendust still my favorite all time Hard Rock group.
Thanks to this band I got into metal music and haven't looked back since! Parents weren't happy about it though lol
fucking hell, 12 years on and this song is still fucking awesome!! they are so under-rated its ridiculous! this one's a headbanging track for sure \m/
Awesome. When this album came out I thought nothing could be heavier/ angrier/ fun. Ive given up waiting on bands to outperform Sevendust. They are still the best, and when theyre done, they will be touted as the greatest band youve never headbanged to!
Come for the Melodie’s ..
stay for the RIFFS !!
Very powerful & uplifting song
Can't stop loving this song. It is awesome!
Got that right. My brother has worshipped 7D since the first time he heard them in 1997. I've seen them live 3 times and all bands should to take a lesson from 7D on how to play live. They sound better live than on their albums.
it truly is a one of a kind song, it doesnt go up too much either
like you think its going to progress somewhere but doesnt but it does...
Can’t wait to see you guise in Atlanta in October!! It will be my first time seeing you mfs!! I hope you play a lot of these hits and especially angel son . My dad passed 7 years ago and I damn near cry everytime I hear it play on my shuffle . You mfs sound more than amazing!! Been a fan since I found your music on smack down vs raw . Since then I’ve listened to all of your albums !
No words to say...just emotion! Raw...hard core emotion! Who wants to try to make a waffle out of me? Who?!
Damn, I want to see them in concert so bad! One of the greatest bands of all time that doesn't get the notoriety they deserve. Their songs are so ominous, it just makes your hair stand up!
Been a fan a long time. Awesome band, especially live.
sounds great. This guy has an amazing voice, great metal guitar tones. outstanding!
I saw these guys live and it was sick!
Will ALWAYS be my fav song!!
Every time I listen to these dude it a banger, not one skip on almost any album ever
Back in 1999, this song as a year 7 got me into Sevendust! My first ever favourite song and my first and still only favourite band!
Always cool, always unique
That chorus riff is so satisfying
Love this song!
This song rocks. And I'm seriously in love with the lead singer
love sevendust, one of the better concerts i'v seen.
This is so good. I love it
In a sense still a Great authentic band❤️👽
