This is an example of how a band could have all the elements that it takes to be successful, the look, professional video, a professionally good or great song, just as good as any other hit song of this genre, and they had large label management and promotional backing, but for whatever reason thats unknown, enough of the masses didn’t respond to it.

Nah, they were right on time. But they were grossly overlooked, even with the little bit of MTV promotion they had. Wish they kept going, but hopefully they'll reunite and we can see them on a Nu-Metal revival tour sometime.
I think the problem was that nu metal was very oversaturated by the time this came out. More and more bands came out in the early 2000s. It was the same with glam metal in the late 80s/ early 90s. A lot of good bands got overlooked.
My best friend since 1st grade passed away this passed Thursday. This was one of his favorite songs. Compiling a list of songs he enjoyed to commemorate him.

I was looking at CD's at Meijer when I was a teen, and got From Zero's My So Called Life and Depswa's Two Angels and a Dream. I had never heard of either band, and bought both simply based on the cover art and ended up loving both bands.
For whatever reason, this band popped in my head today. And here I am, a decade later singing my face off at my desk watching this video missing the times when I had a CD player in my car and would drive around blasting From Zero.
These guys were so stereotypically nu metal that each band member looked like they were from an existing band 😂 The singer reminds me of Chad Gray from Mudvayne, the blonde guitarist would fit in Linkin Park or Pressure 4-5, the bass player could be in Deftones, the other guitarist looks like Daron from SOAD and the drummer looks like he'd be in Coal Chamber!
This was one of the best groups that never popped. Almost the entirety of this album rocked yet still went mostly unnoticed. I picked this up randomly when I was 20 and it instantly became one of my favs along with FLAW and 36CF.
Oh man me too. Religiously went to shows like once a month from 99-05 when this scene was big. Ozzfest every year, never missed it. Ah, To be young again
I loved this band. FZ was the "thing" in Chicago for a good stretch. So many Metro shows. Smack! Saw them open for Nothingface at HOB. They were so good. Pressure and the original version of Jeer are still fantastic. One Nation Under was easily one of my favorite records of this genre. My So Called Life had a lot of great songs as well. Even the tail end they were released a couple of cool songs as well. These guys were the goods. Looking forward to the Fate Accomplis material.
All music is a matter of opinion and interpretation, and I get that but here goes… The “One Nation Under” album is truly on of my favorite metal albums. From the moment you hit play, it comes out and punches you in the face with a wave of creative energy and it goes the whole ten rounds. I saw this band live and they were phenomenal. One nation under is still on my play list twenty years later. If they ever tour again, I would pay big bucks to see them. 😁🤟
I think I can agree , it's a slammer. I regard it as a nu metal great for me and still an old fav I like to return to. There is a lot of interest in nu metal at the moment for a generation that missed it and I hope people find One Nation Under and this fucking textbook video :D

This was one of those CD's of "upcoming bands" Target used to sell super cheap that I picked up in my younger days. Of all of them I got this was my second or third favorite find from that (kinda tied with Egypt Central). I swear it's so unfair how these guys didn't get big. Incredibly talented, dude's voice was incredible, and an awesome look. Side Note: This is my first time seeing this video. I can't help but think their look kinda reminds me of Coal Chamber. And vocalist looks like he could be Chad Grey's cousin, lol

I have an updated on the drummer of the band Kid aka Johnny Dinu. I listened to his interview with burn via podcast since from zero he starred in a minor role in the jersey boys directed by Clint Eastwood as the drummer. He is an accountant for a skincare company and is happily married father of two living in California. He has not aged one bit and still looks amazing.
Perfect middle ground between 90's grunge and 2000's nu metal. With a touch of pop (arpeggios are fairly simple sped up grunge but not really). Sleeper hit for sure. They killed it in a few festivals late 90's.
I remember buying this album back in 2004 in a Rolling Stone store in Chicago Illinois. I went there to buy an album I don't even remember at the moment, with the littles cash I have left I bought this album without knowing who they were, the album was just pretty affordable. Wow that was a discovery the whole album is great!!

When this came out nu metal was nowhere near close to dying. Nu metal was at its absolute peak in 2001. It was EVERYWHERE. Artista really sucked ass, they never gave these guys a chance. Lots of wasted potential.

From Zero disbanded in 2005. I am a fan of them. The singer, Jett, is now vocalist for Fate Accomplis.
Which has also went on a permanent hiatus lol. It's a shame he can't keep a project going, I'm a fan of his music.
