Guinness and my children were thrilled with pink lemonade!
Lovely video and so nice to see your knitting and more of Dublin! ❤️💜❤️
Congrats to winners,,,
A great episode ,,Leanne,,,Thanks,,,,
Love all UR Sweaters,,,
and have the pattern of nancys to try toe up!!!
Elaine 💗🏡
Thanks once again Leanne. How pretty Ireland is from the sky. You do what you can. We will have whatever you can manage. Even if it is just a short tour video. Look forward to next time and congrats to the winners although, mind you, we are all winners. Thank you. Christine, Queensland Australia.
Beautiful architecture, thanks for taking us alone. Love the socks.
Thank you!
Congratulations both to the winners and to you for reaching this milestone. oh you do make beautiful things.
Thank you for your podcast. I love your descriptions and video of the city of Dublin. Don't give up knitting it's very nice.
Your projects are always so lovely. I enjoyed the little tour of Dublin. Thank you.
Eeeeek! Welcome to the spinning crew! I am a new spinner, I was given an old wheel a few months back, and I'm finding it so incredibly relaxing, and it is pure eye candy making beautiful, colourful barber-poled yarns! Excited to see what you create!
Your color work sweater is gorgeous! I traveled to Dublin from the U.S. over 25 years ago...still remember the stunning architecture...thanks for reminding me!!
Oh, your very first time across the pond when at work!! Thanks for taking the time, you must have been knackered. Beautiful projects, Leanne. You really look stunning with your humulus on. See you soon ❤
Thanks for taking us to Dublin. Safe flying to you always.
So nice to visit Dublin with you and also get inspired by all your knits. Thanks !
Thank you Leanne for a great episode, I loved seeing your FOs, WIPS and bits of Dublin
So wonderful that you are able to travel to so many beautiful cities and have the lay over time to investigate… I like that you also use economical yarns to make some of your sweaters.
I love seeing Ireland. Even if you podcast after your trip I would still like to see the sights
Leanne, I enjoyed your coverage of Dublin so very much, thank you. I had one full day there back in 2015 and loved every minute. What a beautiful, vibrant city it is. I'm sorry the wool shop was closed for you. It was so exciting watching you go into that beautiful building - brought back so many memories. I was on a very tight budget, with 3 weeks of holiday still to go, so all I bought there was a small set of pompom makers. I've used them quite a bit but had forgotten where they came from. You've reminded me to treasure them as souvenirs of a fantastic time. Take care x
Hi Helen! I get that! I am on a very strict budget so it’s probably a good thing This Is Knit was closed! Sometimes “browsing” becomes too hard to resist
So fun to see you in Dublin, your first international, and what a visit, the footage as always is fantastic. I went to Dublin around 8 years ago, it was beautiful. Your sweaters are gorgeous and love the Guthrie hat. Can't wait to see what you do with your new spinner. Happy travels! 🤗
Thanks so much for sharing a little glimpse of Ireland with us Leanne 🤗 Your Humulus is beautiful and so excited to hear you've decided to give spinning another go! Happy Making 💕
Thanks Nikki! We'll see how it goes. I'm a bit more realistic with the time it'll take me to get the hang of it now.
Wow, what a wonderful podcast Leanne! I couldn’t wait to watch it. All your FO’s are beautiful! I have the Kentia in my favourites, I love a lace yoke, I may have to knit this. Thanks for the heads up about the transition to the body, ripping back is frustrating. Also, the comment about the body island, a lot is spoken about sleeve island, I actually find “the body island” more challenging. Thank you for the trip to Ireland, the history is deep, interesting, the frequency of funeral homes. Canada is a relatively young country, so it is amazing to see the architecture of an older country. Thanks again for this podcast and persevering through the jet lag.
Thank you for taking us with you. Dublin is on my wishlist, I too want to see the Book of Kells and also Burton's "Meeting on the Turret Stairs."
Congrats on your first trans-Atlantic flight and thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks so much for sharing your travels in Dublin. It looks so beautiful and I love the architecture of the buildings! All your FOs are stunning and I can't wait to see the WIPS when they are finished. The cowl is very cool!
Many thanks to you! 🍀
What a delight ‘tagging along’ as you walked around Dublin!
Thanks Claudia ! There was so much to see. I’ll have to do another video of some kind there again soon
Thank you for fighting back the jet lag to give us another fine podcast. ❤
Amazing gift of love to us all 😉
Thank you such for sharing! I've always wanted to go to Ireland and this speaks to my soul. I hope you get some rest and thank you again. I love your podcasts!
Another lovely podcast.. well done for staying awake! 😴
Great to see knits and a new city 🇮🇪✈️🧶
Thank you! 😊
Oh how you made me miss Dublin!!! It’s been over 10 years. I loved every thing about Ireland and Dublin was amazing. Make sure you see the Book of Kells and St. Patrick’s Cathedral during your upcoming visits.
European architecture is so rich and beautiful.
Even tuckered out you look lovely. 🙂 Loved seeing all of your projects, think a couple of your sweaters might now be on my radar. 😮 I love your color choices. Thank you for another delightful episode, and safe travels to you! 😊
Beautiful knitting Leanne. Have a wonderful trip!
Oh, my! The view from the plane is sooo different!--Which makes sense. Dublin looks awesome! Nice socks! OOO the EEW nano is fun! (so is the Turkish, but different.) You should have fun with everything.! Congrats to winners! I think we love seeing your travels and knitting. And I hope you will show your spinning.
Congratulations on your first international flight!!!
Congrats on your first international flight! Thanks for the fun Dublin tour, looks like a great place to visit. Love your Humulus and Rosa cowl. Hope you enjoy the eel spinner.
Thanks for visiting us in rainy chilly Dublin. 😊
What a lovely lovely place 🍀
Such a good episode with beautiful footage of Dublin !! Thanks for your sleep sacrifice !! Safe travels.
My pleasure!!
As a native Dubliner it is fantastic to see our little city on your podcast! Many funeral homes is a funny comment because death is so important to us 😀 It sounds terrible but there is a tour of Glasnevin Cemetery that is fascinating and would be worth checking out if you have time on your next visit to Dublin. 💚💚💚
I love this message. I do plan on making the trek to Glasnevin Cemetery in a future trip!
Congrats on becoming an international stewardess. I'm in awe of all the things you manage to knit. The pictures of Dublin are wonderful. I do hope that you continue to film your international travels and share them with us. It makes total sense that you do the podcasts back in Canada, though I have thoroughly enjoyed your hotel room podcasts too. Safe travels, my dear! PS - And YAY for your Nano. I got an EEW6 in December and have been having fun with it ever since. Next thing you know you'll be spinning in the Tour de Fleece!
Thank you so much. Yes, I think I am going to have to re-think how I do the podcast and likely do the ‘podcast part’ when I’m back home. One thing I know is that this community is so understanding and supportive no matter what!
Wow❤ you did it now > going international 🎉Dublin great start for your new journey 🎉 loving everything about your Podcast > I’m happy for you 🎉
I was in Dublin in March. I was able to see the Book of Kells and the Long Room library at Trinity which was amazing. They have temporarily closed the Long Room however I would highly recommend once it’s ready for visitors again.
Ireland is definitely a place I want to return.
Love it. Congratulations on international flights. How exciting!
Congrats on your international flight! Thanks for taking us with you as walked around Dublin. I love my drop and supported spindles; the drop spindle is really portable (hint wink!).
So fun that you took us with you on this brand new adventure. Your rest is so important on layovers. Your viewers will understand if you start a new format for international trips. Loved the footage from the city!
Thank you so much!
Hello Leanne, you were just across the water from me! Always enjoy seeing Dublin and such a pity the wool shop was closed, looks well worth a visit. Loved your Humulus, another one to add to the ever growing knit list. Best wishes to you❤
🍀Wow Dublin ❤ safe travels ❤ beautiful handiwork Leanne ❤
Beautiful knitting projects 🩶🤍💛
Oh wow! Leanne that Humulus is gorgeous! You have definitely inspired me!!! ❤ Thanks for the glimpse of Dublin. This was such a fun episode.
Thank you Loretta 💚!!
Congratulations on your 1st international flight. Thanks for sharing ❤🇨🇦
Thanks so much! 😊
Oh no , you are in Ireland 🇮🇪, I I’m jealous 😂I lived there 8 years, and I fell in love with this country.❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for another great episode. Dublin looks amazing! I was there many years ago, but it looks different 😊. There were bomb sales when I visited, that's was early 90's. Love your knits, and knitting plans.
So lovely to see you across the oceans. Wow what a beautiful city! Can't wait to see in our little spot down under. The humulus is so so beautiful (so much Love) and yes shorter looks best is over-sized.Happy Travels and clear skies as you adventure ahead.
I hope so too!
When I saw Dublin in my notifications, my first response was, "Is the Knitty Stew in the real Dublin Dublin?" lol There are some Dublins here in the U.S., but only one real Dublin in Ireland.
The Humulus turned out really pretty. I've not really felt inspired to knit cowls, but your demo of the ways you can wear it based on the weather has peaked my interest.
Thank you for sharing your tour of Dublin with us. The architecture is beautiful. To be able to walk for 3 hours after a 7+ hour flight is no easy feat. I hope that you get some restful sleep before flying back to this side of the pond. ❤
I’ve always been tempted to buy the Humulus. Congrats on your first long haul!❤
It's so good! Fabulous colourwork and shaping. Isabell Kraemer does it again.
I appreciate you taking us along on your 1st int’l flight to Dublin. I have been considering the Kentia top so I was happy to see that you are making it.
Thank you for the lovely podcast and for bringing us along the pond ❤ I do think your sweater is beautiful and I love the color of the socks
Oh thank you! 🍀
Congratulations on your transatlantic flight!!! I love your humulus. Now I have a plan form mine.
Maybe for your next international flight you can do some tourist footage and just chat instead of having to port all your WIPs and that might be more manageable. Thank you for taking us to Dublin ❤
I love Ireland Sending love from Wales 🙌😘🤗❤️💜❤️I wish we had gorgeous yarn shops like you have in Canada 🙌😘🤗
Thanks so much for taking us all along to Dublin. Really appreciate you giving up some of your rest time to talk to us.🇮🇪🇨🇦
It really was my pleasure. I just need 48hrs instead of 24 to do a more thorough Vlog!
Thank you so much, Leanne! I always enjoy your episodes.
Thank you Becky!
Congrats on your first overseas flight. I saw the title and thought, what a place to buy yarn. Sad to see the store was closed, but the atmosphere around it was stunning. Wonderful FO and WIPs. Good luck with the jet lag.
FYI, there is a fibre festival on in Winnipeg September 8+9 just in case you're back this way.
Thanks for a lovely video. Dublin is beautiful. I love the hat and the sweater you are knitting.
Dublin is beautiful and Trinity collage definitely worth a visit. Safe travels
How amazing to be in Dublin! Oh yes I also am going to be casting on the Fields sweater and am so excited! Amazing episode and safe travels!
Thank you Nicole!
I love all your knits Leanne! Thanks so much for the video from Dublin😊 living in New York for years, I was born and raised in Dublin and was back visiting all my family a few weeks ago… I didn’t get to visit the wonderful This is Knit this past vacation either… it’s a fab yarn shop though!
Lovely knits as always Thank you for sharing your first visit to Dublin. What a beautiful and interesting city . Take care!
Thank you Donna! 😊
What a great trip through Dublin! Thank you!
Thank you Rosemary! 🍀
Oh my friend, what a delightful city and such crushing disappointment with the knitting shop being closed. I have felt that pain. Your Humulus is so beautiful and fits you perfectly! ❤
Thank you again for a wonderful podcast sharing your projects and your time in Dublin!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching 🤗
Great episode! Thanks for showing us a bit of Dublin.
Thank you Margaret,
It was exciting to watch your podcast along with your international flight✈️ Your Humulous sweater is gorgeous!
Yay, thank you! I appreciate that!
Merci, Thank you my dream to visit Dublin! Beautiful Humulus you are wearing! Thank you to share your project knitting!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for taking us to Ireland. I was thinking, if it’s too much to do everything while abroad you could always do the WIP’s and other actual knits at home.
Yes this is definitely something I need to consider. This community is so understanding. We'll figure it out together!
Great episode, Ireland is on my bucket list and it was lovely to see some of it. The Humulus sweater looks awesome on you 😊
Thank you so much! 😊 Ireland is definitely bucket-list material 🇮🇪
I loved the sweet wave from the lovely passerby at the end. ^_^
I loved that too!
Thank you so much for sharing you trip, I would love to take a trip to ireland. ❤
Aww what a bummer the yarn store was closed! So glad your first 787 flight went well, can't wait for more European adventures if you have any longer stays between flights 🥰🥰
There is nothing more disappointing than travelling 8hrs and seeing the yarn shop with a closed sign in the window! Thanks for watching. Look forward to longer layovers one day.
Can’t wait to watch your recent episode 🤍
Thank you Leanne, lovely as ever 🧶🌺
Delightful podcast 😊 Love all your knits! Congratulations on being an international stewardess. They are lucky to have you 😊
Cute socks! My daughter, Audrey, is set on going to Trinity College. It was nice to walk around with you.
Thank you! That’s interesting about your daughter wanting to go there. Perhaps you’ll have to do a trip together to check it all out.
What a wonderful first trip overseas. Thank you for taking us along.
Congratulations on your first international working flight! Fabulous podcast as usual. Lots of inspiration 🧶. Love the Field Sweater, but even though it has nine sizes, I was disappointed in the lack of larger sizing.
Good grief, that sunset highway is now tied w the zwieg for my “just gotta” mate that! You knit so quickly and I love the extra long cowl that doubles as a snood! Great makes, and the patchwork green fields as u were flying over fills my heart and keeps Ireland my number one go to destination to nomad around in!
You’ll have to toss a coin: Zweig or Sunset Highway! Thanks for being here. Hope you get to nomad around Ireland someday soon!
Beautiful architecture in Dublin. The color of the Marie Emily sweater is fabulous and your stitching is so intricate. Thank you for a lovely podcast.
Thank you for showing me Dublin. I’ve not been to Ireland yet even though I live in the UK. Interesting that Dublin means Black Pool. We have a town Blackpool in England where I spent a lot of my growing up years.😁. I always look forward to your next podcast. Beautiful knitting. What a shame the yarn shop was closed. Safe journeys. ❤
Thank you for sharing your trip to Dublin (and for saving me a planned Monday morning trip to This is knit when I am there next month!). Always enjoy seeing what you are making and where you are in the world. Hope the jet lag was short lived for you.
Oh I'm so glad I saved you a visit to a closed yarn shop - it's a sad feeling! I got some excellent rest after filming this episode.
Wool curious. Love it. I too am wool curious. Love the Dublin scenery. Thanks
Always interesting to see your footage of places you land! Beautiful! Spinning is on my want to learn list....maybe someday!
Thank you 😊!! I plan is to gently and cheerfully practice spinning so that I don’t get frustrated.
Lovely to see you on my side of the pond Leanne. 😊
Great to see you again! Thank you for sharing your travels and your knitting!❤
Thank you! 😊
Leanne congratulations on the flight! Your finished objects are lovely and love your new wips, the Dublin footage was great! Thanks for sharing
Love seeing Dublin again! I was there in 1991 and 2001. Have to get back!
Oh yes, I’d say your long overdue to get back. Just make sure you go when This is Knit is open! 😊
Congrats on your international gig Leanne - so excited anticipating seeing the world's knitting shops and hearing your stories about the places you visit. So, selfishly, I am wishing you an extensive and enjoyable tour!
Leanne what a wonderful episode! Your sweater the first one, is great and I think the fit and look is fab. I also like the 2 colour one. I will put the Rosa Cowl in my favs as it is a simple stash buster and could be a good gift. Happy travels 😊 look forward to seeing you ne text time xxx
What a treat. Yes the Field Sweater is one I might just drop a few things and have to knit. If not this year than this winter (2023/2024) season
Lovely channel. Dublin is one of my next trips. The way you weave your travel video in is wonderful 🎉
Aw thank you Suzanne! When are you going?
Congratulations to the winners.
And thank you for the lovely podcast and the very beautiful pictures of Dublin/Ireland.
You are the sweetest to take us to Dublin! I understand that you are exhausted-I was there a couple of years ago and it’s a stretch from the USA!! So again thanks so much for your faithfulness! Hugs from Virginia!’ ❤
Thank you so much for your lovely podcast from Dublin. I laughed when you related your woes with the one top; haven't we all had such a moment 😂! Happy knitting!
You did so well - I feel like a drunken toddler careening through sideshow alley when I get jet lagged, so kudos to you for making words make sense. Hope you got some excellent sleep.
That is a very accurate description! Drunken toddler... swaying all over lol. I got some excellent rest.
I was so excited when I saw this on my feed this morning! Wow! happened way sooner than I expected....I have always wanted to go to Ireland, thank you for taking us along. You are right, the architecture is stunning. You continue to amaze me with all you accomplish, knitting and otherwise☘
