Roasted Chickpeas
1 19oz can chickpeas
1 tbsp olive oil
sea salt to taste
Rinse and drain your chickpeas and dry them thoroughly with paper towel.
In a small bowl toss chickpeas with olive oil, salt and the spices of your choice.
Pour the chickpeas onto a baking sheet.
Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes.
Toss chickpeas well and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until they are crispy through.
Keep a close eye on them towards the end of the cooking process to prevent them from burning.
Allow chickpeas to cool completely and store them in an airtight container for up to a week.

I just found your channel! I'm starting university soon and really loving all of your ideas! I need to lose weight as well so definitely going to be doing meal preps now and portioning out my food. Your videos seem different, they are healthy but you aren't snobbish about it? I don't know but you have a great channel and I love how creative you are with food! I also like you always giving options for swapping ingredients out, it makes making certain recipes a whole lot easier! I grew up a picky child and now I'm paying for it with the extra weight. Learning to love veggies and fruit will be much easier now that I can cook and season them properly. I love your fall soups and overnight oatmeal videos, I will definitely be trying them! Thank you so much!

It is called leblebi in Turkey, sold in nut shops.. very well done.. thanks for the home made recipe..
I wanted to hear you eat them, to hear how crunchy they are!!
aimstheotter Eating them is the best part! We want to see that!
Munching down on camera was never good public manners. Good for her for avoiding it!
David Brown I'm sorry but who are you? An etiquette expert?
calamitasCorvus That didn't answer the question at hand. We weren't talking about whether or not people wanted to hear it, we were talking about manners................ But since you took it there..........when you click on a cooking video you should be prepared for the chef to eat what's prepared..aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand what comes with eating crunchy foods such as roasted chickpeas???? Crrrrrrrrruuuuuuunchy mouth soundsssssss. It's common sense.
You don't have to be an etiquette expert to have consideration for others, especially in public.
well it was so good did not last me half a day. Yum will do this again.
They sell these where I live in the Caribbean (Trinidad), we call it channa. It's very tasty especially the one with pepper.
I've never even thought of roasting chickpeas! I usually always turn them into hummus. I'm dying to try this now. Are they definitely crunchy all throughout like potato chip consistency?
No kids back-to-school6 but I am getting (schooled) on good vegan snacks Thanks for the ideas!
I love toasted chickpeas as a snack! I wonder if dried thyme and brown sugar would work? 😁
I really love your recipes, I found your channel a couple of months ago and I'm completely obsessed. I've been trying to make this recipe a couple of times but for some reason the chickpeas don't come out crunchy at all, do you know what I might be doing wrong? I've even left them in the oven for a couple of minutes extra but it's not working.
love your videos. please make orzo pasta, 3 delicious ways :)
I MADE THESE AND THEY ARE VERY AWESOME AND DELICIOUS LOVE YOU! XO
just made these for the first time this afternoon, and they're really delicious. I used a steak seasoning blend in my kitchen, and it gave them a good meaty flavor. I think these will be a good substitute for popcorn or even croutons in salad.
+Katherine Bass YUM!! I'm so glad you love them :) They were a game changer for me!
Nice seeing these recipes I'm from Trinidad and Tobago so we called chick peas channa. Another nice snack idea is yellow split peas done the same way. @domesticgeek
Ria Allick whoa that's is surprising! We call it channa in India as well.Amusing how two countries so far apart shares similar foods.
cool recipe
Thank you for this recipe. I'm changing how I eat, and I really appreciate your recipes. I'm just subscribed. :O)
This looks so yummy. Can I do this on a stovetop? I don't have a convection oven :(
Yummy
I made these today but instead of brown sugar and rosemary I used honey and mint and it was extremely delicious :) Thanks for the video!
Artemis H with what oil do you cook them?? I guess not olive oil
This is affordable and healthy, yeah!
your voice is crisp and clear
perfect yammi
One of my fav snacks! Would it be possible for you to do wasabi peas?
Does it take like chickpeas? I'm not a big fan but I would love the protein and healthy snack!
I made the smokey chipotle and the garlic, salt and oil. My favorite is the garlic, salt and oil. They are best eaten fresh out the oven.
I would love to see a vegan, ramen noodle recipe.
Thanks for the amazing vegan recipe.
Do you have to cook dried chick peas. I just soaked mine in water. Thanks
I. Love your videos and I was wondering if you could do more school videos
Hi Madison!! I've got lots more back-to-school recipes coming :)
Can you mix the spices with the oil and toss and roast it with the spice on?
I am new Devotee..from today..thank you

Would you store them in the fridge or at room temp?
Ms. Domestic Geek, I patiently watched some of your recipes and I must say I liked them v e r y much. In the new and next episodes please do not forget to mention what temperature to use and for how long. But I really like your recipes I made these chick peas and they turned out wonderful. Thanks for easy and easy to follow recipes and dinner ideas.
She mentions the temperature in the description box
How do you store them? In the fridge or on the counter?
