Apparently there was a 13th issue of each of these series that crossed over with the Wildstorm/WildC.A.T.S universe (but Marvel couldn't include because of licensing)

So no endings for all the stories since issue 13 is missing? Am I gonna have to try and find them after reading this?
Gonna go hit up the dollar bins and finish that Fantastic Four run, that's pretty clean, I usually just grab the first issues but you showing it off makes me want to complete that whole heroes reborn saga
The art alone makes this worth the buy I think!

That is such a awesome cover.
Brett Booth drew the cover. He took over for Jim on the FF run. I thought that the art Jim and Scott Williams did on their run were some of the best of their careers. The FF stuff they did was fantastic, they were really in the zone. Rob Liefeld's Cap stuff still looks like high school level art skills but the inking really saved it. Not to shit on Rob, but 2019 Cap by Rob would look just as bad, the guy hasn't evolved at all.
I bought it a while ago! I think Heroes Reborn is totally worth it. Jumping into Heroes Return next.

I thought it was a big miss that they didn’t include the Heroes Return issues to cap off the Omnibus.

I still have all 48 single issues of this run, don’t hear it talked about anymore at all, I was all in mainly because of the return of the artists of my era. The two-page spread of Doctor Doom by Jim Lee is etched in my brain. It’s the definitive image of Doctor Doom for me.
I loved the fantastic four and Ironman runs and the hulk art was great apart from him being naked hahaha.

That last fight they had with Onslaught right before Heroes Reborn was insane! How do you beat a combination of Magneto/Professor X? Jean Grey and the Hulk! Fuck yeah..

His Doom and his Thing got me good 😂 It’s interesting to see how the MCU did what this comic did but in movie format. If they had not given away the rights to the movies and started it all together that would have been totally different and could have played out similarly to how this book did but probably different plot points and changes. The hard part about having the X-Men in the MCU is that it’s ordinary humans just being born with abilities where as most of the MCU has just been ordinary people with weapons and natural fighting skills or like silver age stories where a character gets there powers in an accident (remember you saying that in a past video). It’s gonna be interesting to see how they fit the X-Men/Mutants aspect, I’m thinking the multiverse. The FF are lucky in sense that they get there powers in the modern MCU setting or they go the route of bring them over from the multiverse. I would like to see it where as people like Howard Stark and Hank Pym were colleagues with Sue, Reed, Ben and Johnny back in the 60’s/70’s and flush out the back story and then have them be trapped somehow in suspended animation while being lost in the Negative Zone and be found in the modern age of the MCU and that Doom put them there on purpose because Reed knew the existence of Galactus and that while the the four of them are in the Negative Zone that’s how they get their abilities and when they’ve been found/escaped they can say that Galactus is coming and Doom would have been in cryosleep waiting for the FF to escape because when he awakes they devourer of worlds is on his way to Earth and then that could bring in Silver Surfer. It’s an idea but it would be cool to see lol. Awesome review Gem 💎

why didnt marvel release the annihilation omni this week, so we can have the black friday savings. im trying to be strong and not order a ton of epics and a 2 dc deluxes and the timelly subby and human torch omnis. and the modok book
I spent almost $800 on Omni's this week... just cause of that little bit of extra savings.

Man, of all the omnis you have, you have some whack choices for recent reads. 😂 I get it, I grew up reading comics in the 90s too but you got so many better choices Gem!
How about some Daredevil by Waid, Thor Heroes Return, Avengers by Busiek, Cap by Waid, Silver Surfer by Slott, Iron Man by Busiek, The Fade Out, Criminal, Descender, Gotham Central, Batman by Loeb and Sale and start cranking out that Silver and Bronze Age goodness... there’s so much... FF, ASM, Thor, UXM! Just to name a few haha.

Art in this book is all that I hate ! Not saying it's bad.... Just really not my thing
just my personal opinion but all that stuff made me quit marvel for a few years. I dont miss it. cash grab for jim and Rob to rush it after they supposedly would never work for marvel again.
