I've been playing this game ever since I was little, but I never knew you could break the fusebox for the Star Spinner! Guess you learn something new every day...
@@Shadowzero4 If you use the Jukebox to play "Shopping Around Town" (The interiors theme for Jolly Roger's Lagoon) then back out and explode a Clockwork Kazooie egg under the table nearby it'll play a version of the world's theme with all the audio channels enabled
God the music always instantly draws me in. Grant Kirkhope clearly was the Mozart of Video Game Music. I can never decide which game has my favorite compositions each one is fantastic.
That Grape GameBoy with the yellow camera was such a cool thing to find when you finally notice it. Because, if you're like me, Chris's comically bright Union Jack swim trunks is the first thing you notice about the guy.
I'm not sure if this is widely known, but I've discovered something by total accident playing on NSO. If you need to get Mumbo again after giving him a Glowbo, you can stand on the middle of the green aura thingy in his place and press B to talk to Mumbo without needing to go upstairs. Finished this game four times, and I had no idea until recently.
Wow. That mystery about the fuse box at 6:02 was a HUGE one. I remember forums back in the day trying to decipher or figure out why there was a clear sound. People even theorized it to be part of Stop n Swop! This is a great video choosing the best secrets and hidden facts!
I never noticed it either, and I usually am quick to catch things like that. The "fatness" of the font and the way the letters are somewhat squished together in the area name probably helped to obscure it.
I've known this game for awhile, with the beak buster skips and all, but I never knew you could break the fusebox to decrease the speed of the Star Spinner, that is so cool!
The reason Mr. Pants got so many references then was because he was actually the mascot for their website when they were still "RareWare" before they rebranded to "Rare."
In the UFO another one of the aliens is asked by Kazooie if he'd like to "phone home" which is a reference to a popular alien movie for kids known as E.T.
That's really not an Easter egg, ET was only 17 years old when Banjo Tooie came out. It's one of the most iconic pop culture lines ever. That's about as up-front and unhidden as a reference can get.
Fun fact: If you use the Jukebox to play "Shopping Around Town" (The interiors theme for Jolly Roger's Lagoon) then back out and explode a Clockwork Kazooie egg under the table nearby it'll play a version of the world's theme with all the audio channels enabled
I know that game so well but there's at leadt 5 or 6 things I didn't know, I'm so glad to learn new things about Banjo-Tooie. I've always thought that the star spinner thing was pointless btw, I wasn't aware that the speed of the stars would be impacted
You forgot another cool thing. When you fly in terrydactiland and go over mumbos location flying. If you see it top down you will see a special reference 🤫
For the longest time i thought the "Elvis" easter egg was a joke referencing the 1997 movie Men In Black, where K jokes that Elvis is an alien that "didn't die, he just went home"
If you make another video about this game, you should mention how busted the Clockwork Kazooie Eggs are since they have the unique property of collecting items. Like for example in Terrydactyland, you can actually just get the Cheato Page in Dippy's Waterhole early without draining the water from Cloud Cuckooland, just through a well-placed Clockwork egg.
It's a difficult maneuver, but you can also grab the Star Spinner Jiggy AS Mumbo. If you stand in the right spot, you can jump just high enough to get onto the first star. Getting on top of the planet is very tricky, but doable if you time it so the planet's spin helps you climb to the top faster. I've done this multiple times, but I do not reccomend it unless you like tormenting yourself.
SuperBanjo is a must on every single playthrough I make of Banjo Tooie I make from now on, not only does it make the backtracking less of a hassle, it makes the game more fun with how broken it can be
it is very obvious, but you don't know the characters from Jet Force Gemini, Bottles' children has a poster of them in their room. Youngest has a Juno and oldest has a Vela poster.
I never knew about the Beak Buster skips, but I did know you could get that Jiggy in the Smugglers Cavern (I may've messed up the name) early with the Turbo Trainers and well-timed Wing Flap and Wing Whack. That's usually how I get it.
With the Cheat "Superbanjo" you can reach the Jiggy at 5:32 too. Go to the area (which you can see upper at 5:32) where the Cheato Page is. Roll down, jump and take a feathery flap. 😉 But this method I have to test. I break the fusebox everytime, but didn't know what it change. 😅 8:00 here you can use Kazooie too 🙂
Here's another one: if you are having trouble getting the jiggy of the sleeping snake you can use the mini kazooie robot to get it. Just aim at the jiggly and shoot.
People didnt know you could break the fusebox on the star spinner? I mean... I guess to be fair i dont recall if i learned that organically or not, but it doesnt seem like a thing most people wouldnt try when seeing an exposed, blinky panel
Please, please Looygi, I beg of you, you make SUCH GOOD videos when it comes to the information, but I prefer having most videos on in the background, listening to them rather than seeing them. Please, please, pleace add a voiceover, even a stupid AI voice would be better, so I could hear the video and not have to watch!
If you guys, gals and non-binary pals want a fun play through of the banjo games (banjo kazooie, banjo tooie, nuts and bults and the gameboy game) scykoh plays played them all! His videos are fun and contain no swearing!
But they do have dick jokes. Tons of them. I've seen all of his videos. The man is obsessed with dicks. He loves his dick jokes so much, I'm surprised his wife hasn't called out how gay he is.
Man between this and DK64, Rare went from 0-100 after the success of Banjo Kazooie. Unfortunately I credit this game with the reason I don’t like open world games or collectionathons. Made it to jolly Rodger’s bay before I quit.
Looygi Bros, have a tip for making young me very happy!💛
Thank you so much! ❤️
I've been playing this game ever since I was little, but I never knew you could break the fusebox for the Star Spinner! Guess you learn something new every day...
ME TOO LITERALLY.
If you do that you can actually get the Jiggy as Mumbo since he can break it as well.
I also never knew this and now I'm wondering what else about this game that I don't know.

Woah really, I might have to try that out.
Yep, found that out as a kid. Not sure why it works though. But it does come in handy.
What?! Have to test this out!
I'm almost sure in one point the game tells you that 🤔
(2:57) I always assumed that reference was from Men in Black. They said something along the lines of "Elvis didn't die, he just went back home."
Real life conspiracy theories came up with Elvis being an alien.
I also thought about OUR Elvis! 😅
OOOOOH! Banjo-Tooie facts?! I’m in!!!

Yeah basically best rareware title tbh
You can collect jiggies with a clockwork bomb. Allows for loads of fun shenanigans.

Same here.
It was just slighty misspelled after all

For the longest time i thought the "Elvis" easter egg was a joke referencing the 1997 movie Men In Black, where K jokes that Elvis is an alien that "didn't die, he just went home"
The Perfect Dark Elvis might have been made thanks to what has been said in Men In Black.
jokes? :P
@@Zindoriffic ...yeah.
Huh, I never knew about slowing down the stars by blasting the generators. Neat!
Kazooie References Elvis from Perfect Dark, but Elvis references the real life conspiracy theory that Elvis Presley was an alien.

0:20 Weird, I always remembered the Game Boy Camera being gray. I didn't know there were multiple colors until now (other than that Zelda one).
Actually, it's a GameBoy Color, a V2 of the original GameBoy.

I think the one with the wooden platform is a wanted feature :D Because it is kinda cool
I never realized the typo on slightly sacred chamber!
I added this to "watch later" but i clicked and couldn't look away and watched the whole thing lol. great job!
I got that smugglers cave Jiggy today with a well aimed clockwork kazooie from the water. That egg type breaks so many things, it's a lot of fun!
We all needed Mumbo chilling out in the water to Jolly Roger's theme. Thank you!
SuperBanjo is a must on every single playthrough I make of Banjo Tooie I make from now on, not only does it make the backtracking less of a hassle, it makes the game more fun with how broken it can be
