A good comparison would be the Legon 5 2020 (4800H + RTX 2060) vs this new 2021 one (5800H + RTX 3060). I know you have mentioned that you have compared the 1660Ti version of the Legion 5 but the 2060 with the good screen is the perfect comparison between CPU, GPU and Screens from 2 back to back generations. Plus the 2060 Legion 5 is very very popular now since it is in stock even in smaller countries.
I already used this laptop for a week now and i gotta say this laptop is amazing. even tho it's heavy and the fan gets really loud when playing games using the performance mode its still very amazing to use. No complain so far.

thanks for the advice jarrod! i acquired this device for my birthday and have been the best performance I've had so far from a PC i play many games at astonishing graphics and constant FPS
I've had this for 2 months now, and I really like it. Haven't played any modern games yet, but it runs Fallout 4 and Skyrim like a charm on max graphics.
3050ti is good as well, though I gave up laptop gaming for a Steam Deck, much more convenient, and way cheaper, also runs anything at decent settings. Also it's MUCH more reliable.
@Jarrod'sTech - your review on the Legion is a big reason why I purchased one for my daughter, with the larger 80wh battery. The smaller one was simply inadequate. Ryzen 4800h and 1660ti fit the bill quite nicely for Genshin Impact. But it's great for everything else too. I think Lenovo should forget the smaller batter though. Just ship it by default with the larger one. Otherwise, awesome! And I got a skin off eBay. Still waiting for it. Coming from China

Nothing can beat Legion when it comes to performance and cooling. I have the legion 5 3060 QHD model (it launched recently). And the performance is on some other level. I tested it by playing God of War at ultra presets for 3 hours at a stretch and the GPU temp was always between 75-80! And FPS was around 60-65 all the time. I get little lower fps comparatively because my display is QHD. If someone has a budget then definitely go for legion, don't think otherwise.

Solution for now was to lower the WiFi power, and the crackling sound is gone; don't know if it's a hardware issue or a software issue but it's bugging me when a brand new laptop (that is not exactly a cheap laptop) does that.
Hey, I had this exact issue with that same model. I fixed it by updating the Realtek Audio drivers. Use something like DriverEasy or something, just know that it's software-side.

How long is battery life for a student
I currently have the Legion 5 with the AMD Ryzen 5 4800 and RTX2060, and honestly it's been a blast to use for both gaming, and occasional school work. Battery is decent, keyboard is excellent, but the only thing that really ticked my nerves are the constant crackling sound when I put on my earphones onto the laptop's audio jack.
@@TheAlex726a Ahh I see, I'll update it soon then. Thanks for the info!
