Most of their recruits don't go there because they believe in the team or philosophy, they're there for the payday and for padding their individual stats. Any sign that those stats could be affected, and they're gone to the next high paying program promising them the ball a ton

There is always pressure every year for a lot of teams. Some teams have more because of their status and tradition, others not so much because losing or average teams have a lower ceiling. Ohio State is stacked, and they compete year in and year out, they are always in the hunt. Even with a lower quality team last year than the Stroud team from the previous year, they came close to beating Michigan. This Ohio State team is the most experienced I think Day has had. Sure there is pressure but it's a new season and expectations are always high at Ohio State.b

Only ways Day keeps his job with a 4th straight loss to Michigan is if they win the NC and/or beat UM in the playoffs. Maybe getting to the championship game will be enough, but probably not. It isn't just the losses to MI, but ohio fans' expectations are skyhigh this year. To them, if they don't win it all, it's a disappointing season. Not sure how they can think that way with mccord 2.0 at QB and needing an elite passer to make their offense good enough to win big games, but then again, little ohio fans say makes sense.

If Day and co want to continue being arrogant and/or not taking 'the game' more serious than any other regular season game, I'm all for it. Michigan, including it's fans, players, and coaches take it very seriously. Regardless of what they do the rest of the season and playoffs, the result of this game largely dictates whether it's a successful season or not to them. Had they went 14-1 last year and still won the NC, it still would've been (at least in part) a disappointing season. If ohio wants to treat it as just another game, they can expect to continue putting up Ls.

They were forced to cancel the rest of their season because they didn't have enough players because of covid, not just the ohio game.
