Nicolas Rossignol, Volnay Caillerets

Nicolas Rossignol describes the soil of Volnay, Caillerets. Situated on quite a steep slope, the vineyard has small stones and less clay than in Chevret which lies below. The texture of the soil is lighter, but not as light as Taillepieds above. The small stones and thin top soil produce an elegant, airy, delicate style of Volnay.
