Thomas Bouley (Domaine Jean-Marc Bouley) Hautes Côtes de Beaune

Thomas Bouley in his Hautes-Côtes de Beaune vineyard up on the plateau above Volnay. It was both hot and windy here in June. The soil is quite red, reflecting the high iron content and the grapes can get nice and ripe, but the chunky rocks also give the wine minerality. It’s a very good Hautes-Côtes not least because of the hard work Thomas puts into this vineyard.
