Nice to see how all the shoei visors compare in real. I heared the mirrored versions are very prone to scratches and the mirror will fade out over time. So it would be better to invest into a tinted visor.. but if cash is no issue id take both tinted and mirrored just cause the mirrored looks that badass :)
I wish the transition got darker. Doesn’t cut it in sunny days. Orrrr it was available on a helmet with a drop down sun visor. That would work. Use the drop and transition on extra bright days and scenarios.
Hate say it, but Icon has a better mirrored visor than Shoei. I was very much surprised when my girlfriend got the mirrored visor for her Icon helmet. When I looked at the mirrored visor for my RF1200 it was pretty much a joke
Shame we can't get visors from Oakley black iridium would be badass.
The SHOEI CW-1 PINLOCK SPECTRA BLUE can use also for Shoei NXR (RF 1200)???
Those transitions shields are OBSCENELY overpriced for a sheet of plastic. All of the Shoei shields cost too much but seriously, $200 for a shield? It's half the cost of the RF-SR helmet.
I have a transition lens that was included with my Bell Qualifier DLX with MIPS. The cost of the Shoei transition lens alone is $200. Is the lens a higher quality with more protection?
Yes, the face shield is nicer, but another part of the higher cost is just that it's made in Japan. The Bell face shield is still a good shield. -DrewZilla
Are these Visors or Shields? I am trying to understand if these will be put on the original visor (without taking out anything) or used as a visor (replacing the original one?) .
These are full replacement face shields. If you want a smoke shield, you remove your stock clear shield and install a smoke shield. The same goes for any of the other shields. -DrewZilla
I just got an NXR in Matt black...was wondering what all the visors would look like...thinking the dark smoke or mirrored silver/blue...thanks!
I've also got an NXR Matt black.. id go with mirrored silver for overall match, but id make it dependend on your bike. Mirrored blue looks badass too!!
When buying a visor, is there no difference in sizes? for example, a medium from a RF1200 will fit a large?

Just curious as to which tear-offs were used for the video?? They don't look like the Superthins that are typically sold through RevZilla..

Definitely not.. The Superthins are straight-across the visor.. The ones in the video are curved more to the actual shape of the visor itself..
Thinking of getting the blue shield, will the visor be too dark for night driving?
Yes, only clear and yellow are appropriate for night riding. All the mirrored and smoke visors are too dark. -DrewZilla
How long does it take to ship a helmet to Colorado Springs ?

Can you see through the mirrored visors from the outside? I just purchased a white rf1200. What would be the best color to match this?

@@RevZilla I recently purchased an RF1200 in size large. My head measurement is 23.75 which put me between a large and extra large. I got the helmet in the it's VERY tight, especially around my cheeks. It makes it so if I bite down, I'll bite into my cheeks. Should I try going with an XL? How much pressure should I be feeling? I have a pretty large face as well.

No, the Neotec 2 uses the CNS-3 Visor, which in the US is only available in clear. -DrewZilla

I need to know before I drop $80 (S&H) on a visor The Dark smoke looks the Best but with NO saddlebags I dont want to be carrying around two visors inside my Leather, Someone who has one or Drewzilla Please HELP. I like the light smoke also, but is it dark enough? I ride day and night so not sure which one to invest in concidering right now I cant buy both, otherwise I would have gone Allout an got the Transition lens. If you ride at night, I cannot recommend using anything tinted, even light smoke. During the day, I've found that light smoke just isn't dark enough. So for bright days, you really need dark smoke, and for nights, you really need clear. If you don't want to carry two shields, then I'd go with the Transitions shield or just consider getting a helmet with an internal sun visor. -DrewZilla
Thanks Drew that helped I already have the RF1200 so im stuck carrying my clear shield around. I cant and dont want to spend another $500 on another Helmet.

I put the extra shield in a thick sock and stand it on edge in a tank bag.
I thought you're not meant to use pinlock shields for low light conditions?
Wilson Wong why would that be? It's clear. Not to mention it's colder at night and therefore more likely to fog...
RoadRunner yep I would think so but the instructions on the pinlock shields that came with mine said not to use in low light conditions!

They haven't come into stock yet, but we expect to have the helmet and a review of it by late-April. We don't expect the SRL until May. -DrewZilla
