  • Shoei Helmet Sizing & Buying Guide www.revzilla.com/shoei-helmets...
    Shoei has been making quality helmets for over 60 years and has a long and storied history of many firsts within the helmet industry. Shoei makes top of the line picks in the street, road race, motocross and open face helmet categories and in this video, we showcase our top picks in street helmets. All helmets shown in this video carry the DOT standard and several also carry Snell 2010 ratings. All have removable liners that can be washed and many of the faceshields can be upgraded with tinted or Pinlock ready versions. Full face street helmets represent the largest category for Shoei that include the Qwest, RF-1100, GT Air, and X-12. The RF-1100 is our top pick in this line up and is one of those helmets that does just about everything flawlessly. The Shoei Neotec is one of the best fitting, feature full and safest modular helmets on the market that competes head-to-head with any other premium modular option. The J-Cruise is the only open face helmet we included in this video, is new for 2013, and the first time we've seen Shoei incorporate an internal sun visor in a 3/4 helmet. Although we did not include the Hornet or the VFX-W, both are solid picks in the dual sport and off-road worlds that carry both Snell and DOT ratings. We've come to count on Shoei for providing safe, quality and feature-full helmets that have proven again and again that Shoei is a name we can trust.

    My size is 58.4cm and I tried on a medium rf-sr but it was too tight. Will a large fit better?

    Went down in an RF-1100 and I will probably never own another helmet but a Shoei or and Arai. I'm still here because of the RF 1100. Best $400 bucks I've spent.

    I know you’ve explored it in further videos, so, I forgive you 😂

      At 56mm, you should try size small (SM) first. -DrewZilla

    Hello Team, I am interested in buying Shoei Neotec and my head size is 58 cms. Since it's a modular helmet, should i go for Medium or Large?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  6 років тому

      You should go with size medium. Being modular doesn't make a difference with sizing. -DrewZilla

    Can I make a Small nxr into medium with different pads? Is the shell the Same?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  4 роки тому +1

      The Small NXR (RF-1200 here in the US) uses the same thickness in cheek pads as the Medium (35mm), and since the Medium is its own shell size you cannot swap the top liner with the size Small, unfortunately. If you have any other questions or concerns about your helmet fit, feel free to contact our Customer Service Gear Geeks! - Pat

      @@RevZilla your answer was invaluable. I respect the time you took for my question so much. They stole my helmet nxr seduction medium and I can only find it in small... I was In love with the design it was MY helmet. Now with your answer you saved a failed attempt to make a small nxr medium. And medium is of the tight side for me allready. Too bad... Many hjc 11 I like but I don't know it as a helmet if it will be a good rf1200 replacement. And I will miss my photochromatic shoei nxr lense.

    my head size is around 60 to 61, it makes me XL for shoei I think?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  8 років тому

      +Billy Lian You are between sizes. If your head is 60.5cm or less, get size Large (LG). If you head is bigger than 60.5cm, then get XL. -DrewZilla

      +RevZilla I would assume it wouldn't break in much right? will the padding become loose after some times?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  8 років тому

      +Billy Lian It will actually break in quite a lot. That is why it's usually better to go with the smaller size when between sizes. In your case, you're better off with size Large (LG). -DrewZilla
