I would always ride without the pin lock and my visor would fog up. This pin lock system is a must.

I have 2 pinlock shields on both of my helmets and they work great
"Looks like an 80s road map" 🤣 Nice job on the Darth Vader sound effect. I had some issues with my pin lock fogging up in colder temps and rain in Texas and Oklahoma, but worked fine in warmer temps. A good cleaning of shield helped out.

I've got one on my Hornet X2 Dual-Sport helmet. Super happy with the lid and the pinlock. I ride a lot in cold weather.

Hi. I have a Shoei installed with a Pinlock and definitely appreciate it's anti-fogging capabilities. I live in the UK where it rains a LOT. When cleaning the helmet it looked like there was a bead of sealant around the pinlock. Is this needed or helpful? I have an added issue with fogging in that I wear glasses so I need to ensure those don't fog up instead. Love the helmets though and have headphones installed for phone, and Sat Nav.

Thanks for sharing this...I just got my hands on that helmet at the Cleveland Bike Show and decided to order. Is the dark shield still ok with regular or sunglasses?
Bo Dean 52 I can wear eye glasses with it but always wear contacts when I ride. It’s does well in the sun, so no need for sunglasses with it, I think.
I came to make sure I could flatten it out that much before installing.
I got the same helmet with the transitions shield. I wear transitions glasses too. Should be a good combination I hope.

Thanks for the simple clear instructions, though there are 2-3 warning panels in the Pinlock instructions recommending you don't install it with a tinted lens due to the loss of visibility
Its pretty much a clear, so visibility isn’t an issue.
Great video. Do you mind if I ask which GoPro pieces you're using? I'm picking up a GT-Air 2 and have been considering strapping the GoPro in for some scenic rides but only have the most basic mounts.

I opened the package cause I didn’t know what it was, do you think I can keep it outside the package for a month until my tinted visor arrives without it losing its ability to stick?
Love the pinlock shield, I don't know how anyone can ride without it. If anyone has trouble with the seal I think the pins can be adjusted slightly to help that.
Can't wait for spring! The temp here in central Iowa is 1, lol. I'm tired of it!

I have the clear shield my Shoei came with and bought a chrome tinted one. Which one would it be better to put the pinlock on?
Whichever one u will wear more often, especially in cold temps

I have a question,i always had the pinlock in my helmet and its good and all that but i notice its becomes slightly unclear compare to a visor without a pinlock,also the edges of the pinlock do get in my way when looking on the road sometimes.Is it possible to ride most hot summer without one or does it still fogs up the helmet?
RE-L Mayer Should be ok to ride without it in summer. Cooler mornings might have fogging! This will be my first summer with it in, though.

I wish i had a pin lock on my helmet. Mine always fogs up on me in the morning going to work,i have to leave it open just a crack to prevent fogging,and i still get it happening

I cannot get the pinlock installed on my SHOEI RF-1400. I feel like I have to break the face shield in half just to get that fucker in there....
