Right on Jason.
Good work.

Thanks Chuck
I just fixed mine today and the T30 screws were tight on mine, but that nylon bushing had worked its way out of its spot. I found it resting forward of the clamp. I wound up super gluing the outside of the bushing and I put some on the cap and that bushing is held in nice and tight now, but the shifter still rotates freely on the inside of it. Gotta love a free fix. I was surprised to see that it had done that, I was expecting the screws to be loose.
Just a bit of time can fix a lot of issues.
I just fixed my shifter on my 2000 Grand Marquis three days ago. I thought it was the shifter cable because it was so loose that I could not get it back into park. It was the two torx screws that was loose. Thank goodness.
Very common!
@@OldeCarrGuy Especially on a car that old. Things bound to get loose or break.
By the way those little rubber bushings are six bucks a pair, worth a shot if it makes it any tighter, Dorman 905-107 is correct for my '93 TC might match most of the Panthers. F3TZ7L278A *might* be the Ford part number to cross reference.
Yeah, I may be inclined someday to replace them. Thanks for watching
Same issue in my 03 Grand Marquis. The pin came out so far that it tore the dust boot. Since then I just push it down every time I get in the car. Just hit 240k
Thanks for watching.
My 03 e350 guess a gear shifter courtesy of Ford “Quality is job none”😂
Haha!
Thank you for this very informative, descriptive task Jason. 👍
Glad it was helpful!
*I now know more than I ever thought I would about a Ford prndl selector! Thanks!*
lol. You're welcome.
Great job. Interestingly my 85 ltd doesn’t have this problem.
Good to hear
Be careful when lowering the steering column. That adjuster is attached to the PRNDL indicator with a small cable. If you drop too far it will do bad things. You didn't drop it too far, it would be more of an issue if you were replacing the heater core. I didn't know the indicator was adjustable. Thanks for the good info!
Praying I never have to do a heater core. I did actually remove the cluster for that reason.
What does dropping the steering column have to with a heater core ?
@@brianblithe2271 to get the clearance to pull the dash far enough away from the firewall to get at the heater box
@@garymatthys3605 THanks for reply !!!, oh crap didnt know that my 03 could go out at any time, thanks again for the heads up brotha !!!
@@brianblithe2271 if you need to do it, just search youtube for crown vic heater core replacement. There's a few vids
Sharp looking grand marquis would like to make mine look as good .
Thanks 👍
on my 01 grand marquis the lever you grab to shift has alot of play but shifts as it should
It's an age thing.
Very informative. Too bad it didn't fix it but those are the breaks
We'll tackle it again one day!
Will this work on a Lincoln town car Presidential? Thanks
Yessir!
Hi would this work too for van e150 please if you can answer
I believe so.
@@OldeCarrGuy thank you
Now I know...the rest of the story!
Indeed you do!
No kidding, hum.
She's Old she's allowed to be that way 🤣😂😂
Exactly.
Look.. that's all fine and dandy, but.... when are Yugo-ing to do the Toyota/Yugo marriage?
Yugota get that done. That's two groaners in one comment. You're welcome. ;)
Hey Joe. I have a Yugo video coming out very soon!
