the kunai feels op in pubs because most of the time your teammates just feed the kunai spy, for that reason i find it super annoying but not op (also that amby aim is pretty crazy)
When the enemy team has a Kunai spy then my teammates forget what turning around is, I put on the kunai ONCE and suddenly the whole enemy team knows my precise location every second of the game.

@hussar7733 like u see a kunai spy go deep and take a lot of damage to get a chainstab, so u think they're low and commit but they're kunai so they're actually still really healthy
@@WillOfTheFungalNetwork I mean it's still a spy. Plus it's not like your commitment goes to waste. Usually it's just a waste of time and your damage still counts cuz you get rid of his overheal. Unless he gets another stab that is

In my opinion as a Pyro main, the photo is the worst primary unless you have the scorchshot. The phlog to me is a underpowered item only considered overpowered because an actually overpowered weapon is there to back it up.
The detonator is better with it in every way, the scorch shot is just easier/more brainless. You'll put out more damage with the detonator most of the time and the movement it provides is unmatched. You don't even need a wall to use it either. I've had phlog ubers where I get sent into the sky and just do a det jump to change my momentum and keep it from wasting the charge. The scorch shot is never going to do that for you.
@@browdoe It's a bit of both, it is unavoidable fire enemy on the enemy, enemies can dodge flares or at least have a chance too with good prediction, the scorch shut is just, most of the times, unavoidable.
I mean honestly, I never really understood what's the problem with those weapon : in years and years of playing the game, well I absolutely never felt like facing an unstoppable and totally broken weapon. I've of course faced some Phlogs, some Kunai spy's and stuff but they were as normal as the other players, they might have one "overpowered" moment in the game, but that felt the same as a basic well placed sticky trap. Anyway, that's just my point of view and I always felt like the weapons were pretty well balanced knowing that there are a lot of weapons that are unique and feel different when you play them, adding the fact that there are multiple classes, various gamemodes, and so on.
For example, other games have also a lot of weapons, but when playing them, the feeling is still pretty much the same, those choices are more for the pro players that need a perfect weapon for their specific and precise need, but as a normal player I don't notice the change.
I like the phlog more than the normal pyro primaries, but my biggest problem with it is actually the balance change they did to it years ago. I think having a damage resist with heals was more fair for both parties than the current uber iteration of the weapon. It made you less dependent on medics but didn't allow you to belligerently use it almost wherever you want, especially with a medic.
The phlog is fine, you give up defense and survivability for raw damage. Its only strong cause of the flare guns. Try playing without flares and you'll be having a hard time. Even combo pyro relies on flares for damage
My problem is it feeds no brain players free kills. If you don't know how to airblast, and you get the phlog and hit a 5 streak, why would you ever learn to airblast? Plus, there's not really any counter play to a phlog crit Pyro jumping around a corner and instant killing half the team.
Me when I die to any other knife: 😊 Me when I die to the Kunai spy that no one on my team seems to actually being try to keep in mind basically making him unkillable: 💀
1. Remove minimum healing from any target, and simply add the target's current health, capping at max health of kunai spy, so stabbing a 50 hp heavy will no longer leave you at 190 hp but 120. 2. Lower base health from 70 to 67, with a max health of 200, not 210. 3. To compensate partially for the nerf in item 1, reduce health drain rate by 25%
I kinda half expected to see myself in this video because I saw a bunch of familiar names as you play in my favorite gamemode. Idk how common usernames like "MF DOOM" and "puppy she/her" are but it was honestly surreal to watch.
The phlog is definitely highs and lows, you do have to play it safe if you ever want the upside to matter and you have to be decisive about when you use it. You can get crazy rushes and feel like you're a one man momentum machine wondering why your team isn't capitalizing on it, or like you're just damn helpless. Considering the game as a whole can often feel like a lot of just a low or high with how bad the matchmaking is i've gotten pretty lax about trying to avoid ruining people's days with it unfortunately... Also yeah, sometimes you meet the most sadist medic mains ever that will plug every uber up your ass and let you wipe the floor with ashen foes, shoutout to those guys for quietly coming up with the plan lmao
I like using the phlog when no medics uber me during the 'mmmph', it feels like I deserved all those kills when I sneak past enemy lines and obliterate the enemy team with only my own sheer will and a crit boost.
if you ask me phlog + medic combo only works against already inferior teams since you effectively need to coordinate with someone else (which already makes a weapon less optimal) and build 2 meters simultaneously. If one of you dies (which will happen a lot when the other team is competent), you're back to square negative 1. I can tell from the clip that the ppl you're mowing down are all pretty bad at the game in which they just freeze panic and forget to shoot you or backing up. At least the kunai can still work pretty well against a competent team while with the phlog, if the other team has half a brain cell, it's useless
My thoughts on the Kunai that nobody asked for but the UA-camr did and it totally wasn't just to bump up engagement, he was talking to me, ME, OKAY!!? /j I think the Kunai-- conceptually-- isn't half bad, it's actually pretty fun and interesting design. I feel like the OPness isn't actually the issue, it's control. These are snowballing weapons, which reward skill. There are ways ti deny them, but they require you to be the one to deny them. If you don't fight the phlog pyro all game and he farms damage against ither players it feels a bit cheap (even if it is by definition earned) to be melted unexpectedly. honestly, I feel like the problem with a lot of this weapons is not that they are overpowered like for example: the wrangler. but they are rlly not fun to play against and having fun is kind of the main point in videogames after all.
I don´t rlly think the scorch shot is overpowered, but It is rlly unfun to play against it and breaks the game experience.
however, idk man, I do believe a rework for this weapons to make the game experience better for everyone would be good, but having a dork going phlog pyro to get two kills and then get terminated.. is kinda the charm of the game..
Me with 8k hours on spy: Yeah I agree the kunai is pretty balanced
You're a demon with the Ambassador, lmao
