I'm watching this video at least once a week right now because I'm learning to be a better sniper in another game, and we have an important tournament coming up in a couple of months. It feels like I'm going through that emotional journey, it's frustrating and despite the evidence to the contrary, I feel like I'm not improving at all. I've even caught myself thinking "I'm the worst person to have ever played this game". Years later, I'll just say the sniper journey is real, but part of the hidden fun of sniper is how hard you can bait people including spies. It can be the biggest "gotcha" class of them all for playing mental games. You have the highest visibility point on a map and can study every single player's movements and simply wait out a spy if you know spawn timings and player movement patterns. Also saw this every single year at least twice. Sniper mental game can be insane.

It's one of the most common classes people cheat with tho. In a couple hours of gameplay I ran into 3 snipers with aimbot and 'wallhack' Or however they call it when you can see invis spies. But eh, that was casual so I guess a lot more common.

Honestly the best way to get head shots is to force yourself to use the hitmans heatmaker. I just recently recocered from machina body shots, and i think this is the best way to get head shots
You forgot to mention about you being the only Sniper on your team and then suddenly, 4 Snipers randomly appear on your team that will most likely cost your team the game. Also, I’ve always been using the ‘Guitar Hero’ method when playing Sniper for some time now and that’s all thanks to Jerma and his old Sniper Guide that’s still relevant to this day. Tip for High School Grads: Unless you're deciding to start your college life with summer classes, *use that summer to get as much sleep as possible*. I had gotten all four of my wisdom teeth removed after graduating and was on strong pain medications that made me sleep a lot. After a week of eating nothing but frozen yogurt and taking multiple naps per day, I had never felt more rested in my entire life. The advice about relaxing and letting the enemies walk into your shot sprung me into being a good sniper in less than a week of playing the class. I've even gotten a few compliments from teammates for getting some good shots. Oh yeah, and the fact I was using my brother's account cuz my computer broke also kickstarted this journey to getting good at sniper with sidegrades and all, but still!

It also motivated me to play as the sniper more often. Lazy has to choose a piece of music then model a scene after it, looking at of his intros for the how it feels series. He chooses the best music for every scene in his videos. It’s truly impressive and shows how much lazy works on these videos, and I refuse to let the simplest things be even slightly taken for granted. All of his intros for these videos are so carefully created and well made, and no matter how many times someone says that, it’s still just as impressive, regardless if it’s new or old. Lazy is an amazing creator.
The problem with playing Sniper is that if you take the time out of your day to actually get better at him, you’re going to be accused of hacking a lot. Nobody likes getting insta-killed from something they can’t see, the only reason Spy isn’t as hated is because he actually has to get up close behind the enemy to even land a backstab. Which sometimes results in said spy dying before he even lands a backstab on the enemy. Hell, there are many ways that Spy can get caught and killed before he even thinks about getting a backstab on someone. Whereas Sniper is mostly farther away from everyone else, making it harder to simply kill him by focus fire. And the two main ways to kill him are to try and flank, which, considering his position and team, could prove to be a challenge since he’ll typically be so far back, you’ll have to risk going through everyone else (possibly an engie nest as well) just to get to him. Or the player could try countersniping. Which mostly goes down to the overall skill of the two players. I don’t hate Sniper as a class, I just hate playing against a good one.

Years later, I'll just say the sniper journey is real, but part of the hidden fun of sniper is how hard you can bait people including spies. It can be the biggest "gotcha" class of them all for playing mental games. You have the highest visibility point on a map and can study every single player's movements and simply wait out a spy if you know spawn timings and player movement patterns. Also saw this every single year at least twice. Sniper mental game can be insane.
Also forgot to mention, no razorback means practically begging spies to get close. Abuse that as you will off of all the timing you can deduce.

Honestly the best way to get head shots is to force yourself to use the hitmans heatmaker. I just recently recocered from machina body shots, and i think this is the best way to get head shots

Also, I’ve always been using the ‘Guitar Hero’ method when playing Sniper for some time now and that’s all thanks to Jerma and his old Sniper Guide that’s still relevant to this day. God I miss Jerma’s TF2 Content.

Can we all appreciate this Heavy just standing there, menacingly, while he unloads all the custom-made bullets that he has into this one Sniper. Just to *make sure* he was dead.
The advice about relaxing and letting the enemies walk into your shot sprung me into being a good sniper in less than a week of playing the class. I've even gotten a few compliments from teammates for getting some good shots. Oh yeah, and the fact I was using my brother's account cuz my computer broke also kickstarted this journey to getting good at sniper with sidegrades and all, but still!

Lazy has to choose a piece of music then model a scene after it, looking at of his intros for the how it feels series. He chooses the best music for every scene in his videos. It’s truly impressive and shows how much lazy works on these videos, and I refuse to let the simplest things be even slightly taken for granted. All of his intros for these videos are so carefully created and well made, and no matter how many times someone says that, it’s still just as impressive, regardless if it’s new or old. Lazy is an amazing creator.

The problem with playing Sniper is that if you take the time out of your day to actually get better at him, you’re going to be accused of hacking a lot.
Nobody likes getting insta-killed from something they can’t see, the only reason Spy isn’t as hated is because he actually has to get up close behind the enemy to even land a backstab. Which sometimes results in said spy dying before he even lands a backstab on the enemy. Hell, there are many ways that Spy can get caught and killed before he even thinks about getting a backstab on someone. Whereas Sniper is mostly farther away from everyone else, making it harder to simply kill him by focus fire. And the two main ways to kill him are to try and flank, which, considering his position and team, could prove to be a challenge since he’ll typically be so far back, you’ll have to risk going through everyone else (possibly an engie nest as well) just to get to him. Or the player could try countersniping.
Which mostly goes down to the overall skill of the two players.
I don’t hate Sniper as a class, I just hate playing against a good one.
