I need something more in-depth than this. Balancing a gimbal is a big issue and it’s extremely hard to do. We need more people who are willing to really explain the science behind this.
You made that seem so simple. I haven't made a decision whether to upgrade my Weebil S to the RS3. I'm really leaning towards DJI. Thanks for the tutorial
Thank you very much for this tutorial. The roll axis was BRUTAL for me balancing the first time. I could get it balanced in the neutral/center position but all the other tutorials I watched before had shown that their cameras could be rolled left and right and stay in those diagonal positions and I just couldn't get my camera to stay in those positions. I finally just left it as it was in the adjusted neutral position and left it at that. Again, thank you 🙏
OMG. saved my bacon. The rest of the official tutorials jump around, go so fast. and though this is 3 minutes, it was 3 crucial minutes. Ready to shoot tomorrow.
sir ji bahut achhi jankari....sir ji aapke video me grance nahi hai bilkul cline outputdijh rha hai...camere me kya setting krni pdegi.....s log 3 please🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Have the RS3 with A7Siii and f4 16-35 Zeiss lens- when attempting to balance vertically, my viewfinder is hitting the axis point… you have so much clearance around your camera! What am I missing here? Please help! your vid’s are so much better than DJI ‘s “wham bam thank you mam” approach to teaching 😂
Great video Am Filming on a black magic 6k and sigma 18-35mm. got the Rs3 Pro. after rigging the camera everything works fine except the Focus motor. its not stable always moves out of position and balance when being used. any help will be appreciated.
but I have some shaky little bit on the roll axis, and sometimes my rs3 loosing horizon with no reason, so i only hope dii rs3 pro and Zhiyun does not have same issues
I think my initial balance was done wrongly. When I turn on my gimble the camera is listing on an right angle. Is there a way to reset this so my camera is in a balanced position? I thank anyone who can help me with this.
thx for the video ... ihave a problem with connecting the the RS3 Pro with. the Ronin asistant 2 ,the softwear do not see the gimbel ,any advice?///////// im using sony a7c and im using mac
I keep having a constant issue with my camera going and staying off balance. I keep having to double click my button to center and level it again. You think I’m not perfectly balanced?
Hi and thanks for the helpful video, I have a question, is it normal that when I turn off the gimbal, the roll axis arm isn't aligned to the pan axis arm?
Bro you should of made it a bit easier without you using your personal cage for your camera cause now I don’t know what to do from that step since I don’t use a cage
I need help. I've got a Nikon z9 and the RS3 (NOT PRO). The body of the Z9 seems to be too tall and won't swing freely - top of Z9 hits the RS3 roll knob locking joint when pointing up. Any suggestions? Other than get the pro version?
I'm coming from the Zhiyun Crane 2. Many years with that gimbal. I just purchased the RS3 and balanced it for the first time following this video and it is a NIGHTMARE compared to the Crane 2. It is an absolute sh#tshow to balance. I hope and pray with practice it will get easier. because right now, I'm having serious buyer's remorse.
This was very helpful thank you, im am very impatient with 3min intros etc but this was a brilliant tutorial thank you! also subscribed because the tutorial was that good :D
Thanks for this man. First time with an RS3 and I was struggling even at the first hurdle! Looking forward to using it now. Thanks again
Most welcome!
I must be living under a rock- this is the first I've heard that my A7's case fits directly on the gimbal plate. Thanks for that!
Thank you! I have a real estate job tomorrow and got this today - the other tutorials weren't getting me there! This did
I need something more in-depth than this. Balancing a gimbal is a big issue and it’s extremely hard to do. We need more people who are willing to really explain the science behind this.
It's not science 💀 it's pretty simple
this tutorial is much better than official DJI uploaded. Thankyou!
Thanks! This was much better than the official instructions, especially the pan axis technique.
Yes this pan technique is much better
You made that seem so simple. I haven't made a decision whether to upgrade my Weebil S to the RS3. I'm really leaning towards DJI. Thanks for the tutorial

Same. So in the end you did not make it stay in the diagonal positions, moved on with the rest of the balancing, and all worked fine?
OMG! Thank you so much! DJI should hire you for tutorials because you make it simple and it's not going unnoticed. 🎉
Balancing used to take forever and eats up a lot of time during shoots! But that's old news now thanks to the RS 3, wow!
Glad to know you find the steps easy.
Cheers!
Very easy to follow and half the time compared to other videos! Awesome!
Simple and straight to the point, thanks man!
I just bought the RS3 and you made balancing it a breeze, Thanks so much!
Great to hear!
I love this, best guide I've seen yet. Thank you!
cool, thanks...do i have to unlock all the buttons before turning it on?
Doesn't matter
Perfectly edited video! Straight to the point! Thank you.
RS3 boasts of efficiency all the way from setting up to actual shooting, up till post-processing! A holy grail to say the least
brilliant thank you , worked so much better than the other videos

Coz That I Won't Be Using Any Other Heavy Cameras, I Bought The RS 3 Combo, And Yeah It's My First Gimbal And Be Using With My A7IV... 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
I think my initial balance was done wrongly. When I turn on my gimble the camera is listing on an right angle. Is there a way to reset this so my camera is in a balanced position?
I thank anyone who can help me with this.
Thank you for this video!
Great tutorial and beautifully shot! Thanks! :)

I keep having a constant issue with my camera going and staying off balance. I keep having to double click my button to center and level it again. You think I’m not perfectly balanced?
Thank you big brother
Thank you so much!
Man, I have never had it easy balancing gimbals... just bought the RS3. Your video has done the magic... easy and to the point... thank you
It worked.....Thank you!
How are you just moving the gimbal around?
Hi and thanks for the helpful video, I have a question, is it normal that when I turn off the gimbal, the roll axis arm isn't aligned to the pan axis arm?
Yes, it is completely normal
Bro you should of made it a bit easier without you using your personal cage for your camera cause now I don’t know what to do from that step since I don’t use a cage
I have the small rig cage with the A74 cage and it says RS3 pRo with a SIgma 1.4 Art 50mm. How does it help with quick release
Great video!! Can I ask if you remove the camera from the plate to do handheld will you need to rebalance again?
no
I may just return this RS3 mini. I can't get it to balance. Not sure what is going on.
Thanks buddy
Thank you sir🌹
God bless you. Thank you for this.
thank you
I’m having issues with the tilt axis, it won’t let me go more forward.. I’m at the end of it and need more to balance it. How do I combat that?
I’m having the same issue… viewfinder is not clearing the tilt axis. You ever figure it out?
I need help. I've got a Nikon z9 and the RS3 (NOT PRO). The body of the Z9 seems to be too tall and won't swing freely - top of Z9 hits the RS3 roll knob locking joint when pointing up. Any suggestions? Other than get the pro version?
Same here… ever figure it out?
Why does autolock not fold to the end?
It would be great if you balance de RS3 in vertical. Thanks bro
It would be the same steps as well.
If you balance it horizontally you can switch to portrait mode in the gimbal as well.
Legend
I accidentally removed the camera from the gimbal while it was on, it started to shake vibrantly.. Will it affect the motors?
We've all done that. Just turn it off right away. Doesn't seem to hurt it.
In FPV my camera starts leaning left! But when I switch modes it corrects itself, anyone recognize this issue?
thanks
I think I have a defecting gimbal! I cant even get passed the tilt axis it’s not perfectly balanced! It keeps tilting back

Great video you saved me the hard part just followed your instructions and was up and running 👍🏼

Thank you! The included video tutorial by DJI is so awful! I almost gave up, hah!
Have you tried it with an iPhone?

This was very helpful thank you, im am very impatient with 3min intros etc but this was a brilliant tutorial thank you! also subscribed because the tutorial was that good :D
You're very welcome! The video is made to be quickest as possible to help those who need a quick tip on set.
Straight to the point starts 0:45
the official instruction videos are in chinese
Why you show for peoples good well to horizontally balance 😅
This balancing thing make me think twice to buy this gimbal.
You will get used to it, to the level that you can balance it in less than one minute
Thank you so much dude! I am using a DSLR gimbal for the first time and with the DJI RS3 I was having a real hard time. Now I'm saved ❤️
Glad I could help!
Roll Achse is konfusing

The roll axis on my RS3 is real pain to move... anybody with same problem or is it a normal thing?
