Yep! 🤦😂😂😂
What a great way of teaching gimbal shots. I recently bought my Manfrotto Gimbal and I am still figuring out how it works. I even bought a DJI iPhone gimbal to start learning the shots a bit faster. This tutorial certainly helps! 🙌🏻
R U kidding me, why can’t other people do what you do??
You show us EXACTLY what and how to shot great shots, no BS, just honest real, “do this” and “don’t do that”
Truly amazing and helpful techniques
Can’t get enough of your channel, your simply AWESOME!!!
I think that this can be very physically demanding, and be hard on some people's lower backs. The bending and moving is one thing, and then doing holding camera is another, especially the orbit.
@@rockrecordreport7136 i think they meant give easy to understand tips. videographers gatekeep the worst out of any industry
@@rockrecordreport7136 you're quite right. the rig he is using at this very video weights around 2.9 kgs/ 6.6 pounds. Keeping steady all day long is really physically demanding job.
when we see your skill, it seems easy.
But when we try it, it's very dufficult :(

ABSOLUTE HOLLYWOOD FAVOURITE!
Thanks
I know it has been a while since you did this video, but I tried your moves out on my son and it came out great. It helps to remember framing by using the rule of thirds and noting the shots you used (ie. medium shot, close-up, medium close-up).
Watching ur videos is become my love... don’t have any gimbals etc but wished I was young to have this opportunity to play with camera in the wild
PLEASE, can we fire all other people from making tutorials and only have this guy do them? Very clear and to the point, no unnecessary life story, silly irrelevant things, annoying music or any of the norm stuff people do. Awesome work and skill!
Good
For real! This guy is the best!

So many people in this world are afraid to pass on their knowledge, so thank you so much, if only more people helped out each other in the world, how AWESOME would the world be.

Very true.. bro 👍🙂
Incredible. Best gimbal video we've seen on UA-cam! Nicely done.
I recently indulged myself in this hobby of creating videos using my phone. Each time I need creative inspiration, I always watch your tutorials. As a matter of fact, you have given me so many ideas. It is a joy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with a mere mortal like myself.
I don't even do cinematography, but I love how straight forward and professional you made this! Great vid dude, keep it up!
I've been filming for 10 years and knew these litle tricks but the way you broke them down with clear instructions I would have loved to know these things back when I started. Thank you for helping young inspiring videographers or directors to improve. You're a legend 😎
We are people who haven't got a camera but still we're watching this video🤣😂
Sad truth 😢😢😢
Nah anyphone will do. What is sad is if you dont own a gimbal 😢😢😢
yes🥲🤣
I have not my own gimbal
Same here😂😂
there is no way I can't appreciate you enough. you are a super expert and the kind of person who lives and is born the passion. just wow
I don't know why UA-cam suggested me this video but it made me want to become a film-maker.
Doit 😀
Exactly my point. 😂
Now u know 😊
Shhhhh.... UA-cam knows what’s best for you
Do it its fun
This is crazy. Not even 8 minutes long and I feel like I have learned so much.
thats how you know its a good video otherwise it feels lackluster
the most important u ve learned - dont be a crab!!
RIIIIGGHHHTT???!!!
that is the most useful tip for me, i download it and watch it again and again when i start to take video recording. how ever thanks so much.
Just loved the effortlessness and simplicity in which you explained the whole video. Amazing Stuff!
Everything has been explained in such a detailed manner, it’s amazing to watch and practice your tips. Thank u so so much
UA-cam: Do you have a gimbal?
Me: No...
UA-cam: Have you ever searched anything about gimbals?
Me: No not really.
UA-cam: But they are cool right?
Me: Well they ar-
UA-cam: GREAT watch this video!

You probably must have been talking about videos or making videos in a couple of your convos. And remember... Google always listens 😈
Thank you for the tips. Always adds complexity when you’re creating these as a one person team. These still help me improve my videos
I really loved it. This is a course for dummies like me. In other videos people say what shots are cool, but they don't actually show how to do it. Congrats!
The ending gave me goosebumps! It's amazing to watch a video being filmed bit by bit then seeing it all come together.
Thanks for this info. Very inspiring!

Do the same using your own story and upload it.
Thanks for this video. As an aspiring filmmaker with no professional experience, it's always great to learn from other people who have the experience and expertise.
He's so good at explaining. Like a real Videoagraphy teacher.
Just love watching your videos...gimbal moves..❤
That's awesome, I've forwarded this to my cameraman friend. Thanks. 👍🔥

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil
When my notification says learn online video has uploaded new video i quickly with happier face click on it and hoping to learn some new move.. Thanks Steve.. Great video as always 👍🏻👍🏻 i learn a lot from you..
No iphone,no gimble ,no go pro ,no insta 360 ...still watching your videos with some basic android phone ...but the enjoying and satisfaction on watching ur videos are 1000% 👌👌👌
thank you for this advices! just take a gimball, can't wait to try this shots!
I wasn't looking for anything like this but it captivated me and I really want to break out the DSLR and give it a go and grab a gimbal!
great tips ..thanks for the tips
They are great tips ! Have you used any in your work ?

All your sharing and skills is pricey, but you just share it for free. May God Bless you Steve
Welp, I found my new favorite creator. I have very lottle personal time, so I truly appreciate the ability to watch a 20 minute video and get to go try things out for a week before learning something new in another 20 minute video. Best of all, the information is clear, engaging, and to the point.
Good job 👍👌
Excited to try these, thanks for the tips!

One of my all time favorite video from Steve. Your tips are so easy to understand for beginners. Thanks a lot
Steve, you are the man! Trying all these today in the forest...
So happy to have just stumbled across your channel
"It's coming up "... love it!!

Nice. The Michael bay shot encorporates not just moving on an x + y axis, but z axis also. Meaning spin around subject from up high to down low or vice versa
more than your shooting skills I'm enjoying your style of explanation 👍
Simple yet brilliant.... thanks for sharing the tips...
Loving all your videos Steve. Totally new to it but wanting to learn. Do you have a video on what the different gimbal settings mean and do - PF, F, L and POV and which setting you use for which type of scenes. Awesome tutorials, Thank you.
I am working to become a filmmaker and director. This video was a great tool! Thank you. I am currently working with my music teacher (who is a professional in many entertainment industries) and two people from Disney and Universal to make a film that will get my crew and I hired. I want to start off in filmmaking or screenwriting and work my way up to director.
Thank you so much 🥰... I was just smiling all through. Beautiful story telling
Thank you for the tutorials. Going to practice this weekend!!
Tried them all today in 2 takes. Found the mini jib, orbit, and drone move the hardest. I'm experiencing that my gimbal is not fluently moving around with the orbit, although I have configured it for a smoother movement. Extended handle grip are helpful for the other moves, but for the drone move, I will just use my drone ;-) Practice makes perfect, so I'll keep trying. Thanks for the tips!
Steve, you are the man! Huge thanks for sharing such great knowledge to all of us. I already started applying your moves and angles, and I have to say it changed my shooting style dramatically!
Welcome to India

Doing a Music Video project, and your wisdom has helped a lot! Thanks.
Absolutely loved watching your video. You have provided such great and straightforward tips I got up and started shooting my toddler (the only model I can get hehe)
Thank you for sharing your knowledge freely for us amateurs :) you’ve just gained a subscriber:)
Love the video, thank you for this.
One tip worth mentioning: When you do the shot that pushes right through the person, set your camera exposure to manual. Otherwise if you're not on manual, on the second shot where you're pulling away, the camera will go from dark to light and you'll overexpose the beginning of that shot.
I totally didn't think about that. Thank you so much!
ua-cam.com/channels/Y4mvtbebu_DftnRRtCPubw.html
Goodness I wish I had even the vaguest idea about camera settings, exposure, frames per second etc etc and what it all means and how/why it matters.
@@heatherwoodley8244 exposure is the blow out, or light in a photo or video. How exposed it is. Placing the exposure on manual will allow u to determine this aspect, ensuring the black (or whatever color) be just that on the shots. On auto, the 2nd shot would've automatically applied exposure or light... This didn't sync with the first shot tho. Go into a black shit, and pass out of a dimmer black on, or a black shirt with vignettesque exposure around the edges and center mass. Fps is frames per second... These matter to the concept of real time vision vs what's produced from a camera and transmitted (aka all that's lost in this process). If u shoot me grabbing a glass at 60fps (pretend the whole motion takes 4 seconds), then in an editing app, every 60 frames u move through equate to 1 second of real time (240 frames). This is greatly gonna alter how this looks on screen btw... Shoot me grabbing the glass in 24fps, and every 24 frames equals 1 second (96 frames). Same scene, but by the math alone, the 60fps shot caught more of the motion, and in crisp fashion. The human eye sees at 60fps
@@PancakeDiaries what do i type in google if i wanna learn about all these terms?
you are a genius. you made it look very simple. Love the chest transition, its dope
Amazing Video! I'm new to making youtube vids and videography. I have some skill in taking great phtos. But you just added so many new film ideas for me to try out, all while using a Gimbal! Im using 2 different GoPros with different wide view lenses. one is like 180 deg with less quality, the other is as about 150 deg with super high quality. I love my beginner set-up!
I made notes from this one and it's pinned in my notebook for every shoot. Love practicing these with the Osmo Pocket 2.
Good job

Agreed, this video made us hype.
