- In February 1982 JAM created the theme music for "Report to Murphy", a sitcom about the adventures of a parole officer played by Michael Keaton. The show aired on CBS-TV in April and May of 1982, but only 6 episodes were made. Our on-screen credit flashes by quickly at 1:21. (Music: Jonathan Wolfert. Sax: Pete Brewer.)
Laurel & Hardy's "Helpmates" (1932) begins with a similar opening gag...
I recall liking this show. I saw all six episodes, but then it disappeared.
Jonathan Banks (as in Wiseguy and Breaking Bad) - pre-Beverly Hills Cop.
I don't understand why they'd shoot that program at ABC Television Center.
This would've been a more then-contemporary CBS TV staff for late 1981 on this program:
Stage Managers WILLIE DAHL, JIM RICE
Production Supervisor TOM RICHMOND
Lighting Director TONY CESTARE
Technical Director CLIVE BASSETT
Audio BOB MARENCOVICH
Video GUNTER SCHMITT
Videotape Editor JOHN NACHREINER
Set Decorator RAY JACKSON
I was thinking it has to be cbs. Surprised it was abc.
Jonathan Banks as Vinnie. Five years later, he'd deal with another Vinnie.
Do you know how to get a copy of this? My fiance and I are trying to watch all the Michael Keaton movies and TV shows. We can't find this series anywhere.
i know its been a year since this comment was posted, but i think this series has been lost to time
if you did manage to find a way to watch it, you should absolutely post it somewhere
Michael Keaton's fictional character Eddie Murphy vs. Afro-American actor/comedian/recording artist Eddie Murphy - which side do you choose?
The dark side
Eddie is the goat...ironically enough Michael's the only one I've seen come close to being able to act against themself...
This theme reminds me of the fake Jerry show on seinfeld lol
terra: You're probably just watching the summer reruns... :)
yup
Where can you watch the episodes I searched online everywhere or can you buy DVD
It appeared right after "M*A*S*H" on Mondays at 9:30pm(et). CBS wasn't impressed enough with the ratings to ask for a second season.....instead, they scheduled "NEWHART" that fall.......
and that proved to be a smart move in the long run.
Daddy 😩😩😩
LOL I remember this so well from school. Tom and I used to laugh at it a lot and so did we was a good meme
@@SpiketoothWolf Michael keaton is also a great actor. You should definitely check him out as beetlejuice good stuff
