Yeah. Stack sizes for ores in this mod are the second biggest factor in how you logistically have to manage things. There's always at least one thing that's missing on a planet to make you go 'Hrmmmm...'
Might I recommend the Recipe Book mod? It let's you view uses and recipes for different items, and, most notably for this video - it tells you the stack size of those items, without you actually needing to go and get any, so you can be more informed in your plans. Just a thing people might want to know exists, so they can decide if that floats their boat or not.

you can get water by processing heavy oil into coal
You should be able to produce water with Oil Processing (max heavy oil) and following Coal filtration. If you will be able to spend extra resources, its water positive process.

The answer to your power struggles on waterless planets is condenser turbines. There is a tutorial on steam power in the informotron, you should read it.
Isn't like 1/3 of the issue that condensers don't work on waterless planets? They tried a ton of stuff and almost none of it made water
@@petemagnuson7357 They don't make water, they conserve it. You still have to ship water in but with condensers you can reuse the vast majority of your water (something like 99% of it if I recal) and circulate it back into the production process that uses it. Keep a tank of reserve water to top off the lossless. You're still pretty boned on processes that consume the water entirely. Hopefully you've found a source of ice by then. Ice is way easier to move around.

if you do play the space update with friends you should do teams, but make seperate factories (means more pollution and the race aspect would be cool too) Basically everyone spawns in an edited map that has miners and belts already placed for all starting resources split into x main belts and belted 50 blocks to the sides or up and down, bases start at the end of the belt, and its a race to the end. I think the research can be split for each player with a pvp scenario or something. Beeing closer to the biters also would be nice could cause some early game struggles
You can treat rockets like trains. For example make several landing pads named "Need Plastic" then set the rocket to launch to any with that name which is empty.
Then can use the landing pad as a warehouse and load train directly from it, so once it is empty it can get another rocket. Or put a small buffer between, just not empty it completely all the time so you get spammed with rockets. Just need to filter out the rocket bits that comes with each rocket.
I recommend installing the Extended Descriptions mod. Among other information, it adds the stack size to item descriptions.

Glad you figured it out in the end lol, I think that there should be a water ice recipe available to you now...? I am not 100% sure on that though, but you could consider looking into it.
There is no real guide on the best planet to land on, because the planets are randomized. No worries there lol

The solar system map view represents gravity wells. Each "ring" layer is a planet (object on the far right, furthest down its own well) the other objects in the ring are the moons of that planet. The surface area of an object is determined by its size, so planets will have more chances of ores than moons. Planets also have |redacted| on them.
Cryonite stacks to 20? Try crushing it, it stacks to 50 then.
Have you played the game Avorion? Kept hearing the planet with the same name as the game.

If you are able to use the water from hydrogen and oxygen recipe I think you can use the sand water zapping recipe and use that hydrogen to get more water

I am not sure does it applies to k2se but in just k2 making lithium doesnt consume any chlorine, and with prod mods it creates chlorine.. so idk do you need these electrolysers

Yeah, it gives a good protection level against single meteorite. But there can be more than one meteor at the time. 8 meteor defenses is optimal if you consider that your defense will recharge before the next meteor shower. With that in mind. Around 12 to 16 would be recommended
