Patrol Clutch Replacement Pt 2

- Changing the Patrol Rear Main Seal, Flywheel, Clutch, Spigot Bearing and gearstick bush are a straightforward task but requires a bit of time. In this video I go through what is involved in installing these parts and what methods I use.
I had access to a workshop with a hoist and transmission jack and I still had difficulty in removing the gearbox and transfer case. My biggest tip for removal and installations of the patrol gearbox would be to remove the crossmember and gear sticks and then twist the gearbox clockwise to clear the tunnel.

Best run-through and commentary
Thanks mate I appreciate your feedback 👍
Love your vids, great quality and explain everything really well.
Giving me courage to do this myself... Just no hoist option for me
Thanks mate that’s awesome to hear, get a mate to give you a hand and you should be able to get it done in a weekend 👍🏻
I felt the need to go through the pain of password recovery to post a comment on this video.
Awesome video mate. I'm currently at the stage of dropping a new grenade into my patrol but want to be 100 percent sure on the spring orientation of the release bearing before going further. I could've skipped to the part in question but instead watched both parts fully. Informative video, great explanations and good work practices. Uppa and thanks for the video
Thanks mate that's awesome to hear 🤙 glad you found the video helpful👍
Super video, merci Vladimir
Awesome video brother 👍
New subscriber 🤙🏽👍
Thanks mate, awesome to hear 🤙🏻
🔥🔥🔥
Yewww 🤙 Had to join in on the patrols
Hi i mate, I forget, is you gearbox is zd30 right. Actually mine is td42 engine. Is it fit (bushes shift)
Hey mate the TD42 and ZD30 share the same gearbox so the gearstick bushings will fit 🤙
Awesome work mate. Just needed help with the Rear main seal as I have an Auto.
Cheers Jordan
Thanks mate, hopefully you were able to sort it out 👍🏻
@@ReubsModifications yes mate. Still have to do the rocker cover gasket, glow plug seals and injector seals thanks to your other clip. Blown motor is 80% ready to come out and hopefully on the road by the 17th of December.
@@jcdragon77 no worries mate sounds like you’ve got it sorted now 👍🏻
@@ReubsModifications more motivation and confidence thanks to you 👍
@@jcdragon77 thanks mate glad I could help 👍🏻
Some of us lucky enough to have a sealed bearings rather than a bush.
Which models got that and why didn’t they do the same for all?
how has the new clutch held up? as I have same one.
Its been great so far, no complaints
Why you didn’t show how to put it back ? Feel back is harder
Trying to keep the videos shorter and more engaging often means cutting any unnecessary or double up shots. Reinstalling is much the same as removing however you are right in that it is much more difficult to reinstall due to lining up the input shaft.
@@ReubsModifications reinstall is very hard than remove , you will hit the fork as well
Hey mate how's the SAS coming along
Had a couple hold ups with fitment and uptravel, I need to remove the clutch fork and go to a Concentric slave cylinder instead. Will be a while before the new ep is out but its coming👍
A really well crafted instructional video. I particularly like the fact that you don't assume the viewers' level of knowledge; a glaring oversight in most UA-cam videos. Thoroughly enjoyed watching both parts. Thanks for sharing!
