  • In this video I talk about getting my energy back and how to incorporate fitness into a busy schedule for FREE. I also tell a story about how I almost got suckered into an expensive fitness program and how it motivated me to do things for myself.
    Part 1 of this video:
    • Breaking up With my Ce...
The fitness youtube channel I keep bragging about:

Many people may not know that this instructor started from where many people are. She was very thin (not sure if she had an ED) and not strong at all. She started her channel to help others learn how to get strong too, both body and mind. We may have a different starting point but also a lot in common. Thanks Susie for another amazing video. You are awesome 🤩

That “Ah screw it” moment refilled my gas tank, washed my hair, and did the dishes. Also I think I’m gonna start exercising in my bathroom. Thank you for that.

I needed to hear this. Thank you Susie. I'd love seeing more of this kind of motivational videos.
Being able to be vulnerable builds character and strength. No shame in that. The shame is on the company using false advertising and preying on people in a momentarily bad place.

Hi Susie, Canadian girl from Ontario here, also in medical field. I NEVER comment on videos (ever). But I wanted to say, I love your videos so much. They are so honest and so candid and make me feel so much better when I am going through hard times in my life. I feel like we could be good friends if I knew you in person.
I'm really trying to get back into fitness for my mental health so this video really encouraged me to continue, even if I only do some home workouts a couple days a week. I love your curly girl videos and I loved your pregnancy-related videos. Looking forward to your next one!

Hi Ella! Thank you so much. I honestly feel so healthy lately. Im eating really healthy too lots of fruit veggies and oats and fibre & mini eggs hahaha. Speaking of mental health, when I was a teen/in my early 20's I had a lot of anxiety and mood swings and for me exercise was absolutely key. I would notice HUGE changes in myself when I wasnt exercising. So GET INTO IT lol

🧡👍🧡👍 you are such an inspiration by just showing normalcy!! I felt that way recently and clicked on that V-shred ad- i was ready to spend $ and ready to hear his shpeal i guess and i liked what he was saying about how older females need different training - like bursts of action or something because of some primal blah blah blah. I had never heard anything like that so i gladly whipped out my card for that training. It seemed so clear because it spelled out in the beginning what i was getting. But then, after i started, all i got were constant ads and emails on upgrading and that basically my “plan” really didnt include the full force of the breakthrough his team discovered so i would have to keep upgrading. I canceled, took the loss, tucked my tail between my legs and moved on. I now am on a doctor supervised program, following free youtube exercise videos, and feel better. Thank you for this video!

When my children were small , and I needed to exercise( which I hated) I put my records on (lol yes I’m that old ) and I got my children and myself we danced to the music for about an hour and I tell ya I lost a ton of weight, but most importantly we all had fun, and when I had enough my children wanted more but an hour for me was enough..

Thank you for sharing. As someone who’s been struggling with hypothyroidism and menopause, and then immobility from an auto accident, exercise has not been something I’ve been motivated to do lately. I sleep a lot and have been struggling with energy. You touched on something that matched what a friend of mine said to me. Because we tend to drop what we’re doing once we reach that goal. She suggested I flip flop things and think about the habits I want to create, to reach those goals. She said making small changes to create good habits, are a long term actions that will help me achieve my goals.

A little weight workout doing a few exercises 6 days a week in the morning. So far so good! (8 minutes in the morning workout) it's a start!

Thx for being so raw about all this. I get every morning more tired than I was when going to bed. I wake up several times a night. I walk 1.75 miles a day 5 days a week. Maybe I need another exercise. I eat low carb. Take vitamins.

I’ve been going to Pilates for the last year and a half, with private lessons, but I have joint hypermobility syndrome and mild scoliosis, so this is what works best for me. And while I have a set of home program exercises I can do anytime I want, I struggle to figure out when in my day to do it, so I’m doing her zoom classes as well, which gives me a replay option for the week ahead which I can do on my day off or after work when I’m not working late. Changing my work schedule in order to be part of the live class, plus having the replay, has been a boost to my consistency and accountability. It’s not free, but I definitely need the one on one lessons due to my body’s needs as we are able to focus on the things I specifically need. I love it so much. My instructor has said that I need to teach…so I’m going to look at teacher training programs at some point…when I’m ready.

I do Jillian Michaels DVD’s. I started over 10 years ago. I have a whole library. Same thing - circuit training. Most of her workouts are 30 minutes or not much more than that. Has given me great muscle definition as well as keeping my weight down. Also, Jillian usually includes beginner versions of a lot of her exercises and you can work your way up to the high impact version.

Gaaaa Susie-your video came right when needed!! Been feeling this way MUCH TOO LONG!!! Funny thing is I had adopted many of the things you spoke on in part 1. But def need a change of pace for my exercise -AND TO SHIFT my mindset to stop doing it for esthetically pleasing reasons. I’ve always been healthy and fit -and no joke it’s hard work to stay that way. But I’m about to be 50 and daaaaaang it already the hormones and mindset are just all out of whack.
Anywhoo-work in progress always as I say WIPA 🤣 Always always so good to hear your rants and feel your energy, I’ve followed you for years now here on the UA-cam. Love ya girl!!

growingannanas is amazing! Her works are great and so many to choose from - with weights, without, upper, lower, HIIT, Tabata, jumping, no jumping etc. So good! It saved my sanity during lockdown and I couldn't get to the gym. It's at the point now, I don't even think I need to go back to the gym.

Susie, have you looked in the mirror....you are truly gorgeous. I watch you and even though I'm much older than you, I've often thought, I wish I looked as pretty as you....REALLY. Anyway, I'm 67, feel 40, I go to the gym, 3x a week. Through my health insurance I have Silver Sneakers, so all gyms are free. I realize that with your life, kids and job, its hard to find time for yourself. Even people my age give excuses why they don't exercise. Keep up the good work Susie, and realize, that you too are super pretty. I'm sure people think the same as me about you. So keep that in mind. Ok :)) sincerely, Tori in Kingman Arizona

How often do you follow with her videos vs spinning sessions? Do you do both the same day? And how much in a week do you do your exercises in general?
I'm not necessarily over weight, I'm a fairly small sized person but I've been wanting to get into some kind of exercise routine that I can maintain. I'm in my mid 20s and I do love naps 😂 and am tired a lot, I've gained a little bit more weight than my average (I have a high metabolism naturally but feel weird about myself with this tiny bit of extra weight, especially wearing crop tops ) and I don't have a weight goal or anything, I also just want to feel in better shape and healthier. I checked out some of her videos and will try some 😊 also I got a workout jump rope, have you tried using them before? I love the info !
