Only one who came from tasty? omg thanks for liking my comment! I never wrote anything that would get many likes as much as this! only like.... 2. anyways i was one of the earliest to comment about Niki's childhood cookie
This recipe is simple and ideal for a Singaporean like me to bake. Being overseas for the most part of the year , ingredients dear to Singapore are scarce so I used whatever ingredients that I brought from Singapore, the ones that are allowed to go onboard the plane, to cook. I regularly make trips to and fro from Egypt and Turkey because my fiancee is a Turkish and I am studying in Egypt. I definitely miss our local delights whenever i'm here so I need to bake everything myself. Thanks for this recipe, it really helps!
My brother is getting married this weekend... im in charge of the dessert table. I already made my jam and its thawing now (i put it in the freezer on monday when i made it) im the most excited for these treats!
I search for so many recipes of pineapple tart and this one is the best, aside from it is easier than other recipes, the dough is also perfect texture. I love this recipe and i made this already for so many times. 😊
This is exactly how my mum use to make them! From the jam to the dough and even the design! Love these tarts but can be rather time consuming...but well worth it!!
This tart is Malay traditional cookies esp in Malaysia but also in otr asia countries, now evn in Taiwan,Singpore,Hongkong 😃. in Malaysia they are so delicious maybe pineapple grow well there. everytime i go back to USA..tis i packed like crazy 🤣
this recipe is good but i used vegetable shortening instead and it worked out great ! :) also, you might wanna add a bit of powdered sugar cos i find mine a little too plain
You very lucky you got a mold when my mom make them I was very young before I,m teenage she used a tweezer to the edge pattern this day is much easily my mom is very much like you. Grace you give me a lots of my memory back what my mom used to make and cooking thank you for sharing Bless you all love your video very good .
Wow I can hear the crispiness when you bite into the pineapple tart! I'm going to try your recipe since I can't find decent pineapple tarts here in London. I miss these CNY goodies so much. Yum!
This was my first cookie recipes went I was learning to bake... It brings back sweet memories... Thank you very much 😘. Exactly like how my mom thought me.... P. Shanthy
Hi there, it’s 20 minutes. Please find the detailed recipe here. Don't miss the tips!!! www.nyonyacooking.com/recipes/nyonya-pineapple-tarts~SyhZdvswMcb7 - Admin
Hi, your recipes are really good but i was wondering if you would consider doing almond cookies or cashew cookies because its hard to come across a good recipe for either of them. Thank you
Of course, this is a foolproof recipe. Many have tried and succeeded (see food snaps!!!). Can't wait for yours too: www.nyonyacooking.com/recipes/foolproof-pineapple-tarts~ZwaXzdUa - Admin
This Singapore bakery sells 3 types of the pineapple tart molds and they are priced between US$1.39 to US$1.74 each. However you need to purchase a minimum amount of US$14 or SGD$20 before they ship to USA. Website: www.bakeking.com.sg/products/cutters-%26-sets
I tried this cookie last year and failed rather miserably. This year no more courage to try. boo hoo hoo. But your video offered me hope! Small little tips like use magarine, roll with cling wrap in between roller and dough etc. I'm inspired! Maybe for Valentines Day! Thank you!
Nice recipe. I tried the recipe and it seems I have to get the tarts fairly thin to make 40 out of it. Wondering for the video did you make 30 tarts instead (counting what was on the tray)?
According to the recipe amount, it states 40 pieces. You might want to post your question here and reach the cook or ask the community members here: www.nyonyacooking.com/recipes/nyonya-pineapple-tarts~SyhZdvswMcb7 - Admin

+dolphiniz Thanks for the support! Well, there is difference in taste of course. It is less sweat compared to brown sugar and has a not much taste to it. Great for tea too!
I think using butter would be more fragrant and believe it or not, it is better for your body as compared to margarine, because the latter is a man-made product and our bodies are unable to process it
Thank you so much! I substituted margarine with butter. I tried this recipe and it turned out very nice.
How lovely! Do you have a photo? You can upload it onto your Nyonya Cooking profile ;) - Admin
@@nyonyacooking 000q
May i know how many gram the margarine?tq
Tqqq, i was going to ask but found this❤️
@@nyonyacooking 😍
My Singaporean wife make these, but using butter rather than margarine. They are soft and smooth rather than flaky, but they are still fantastic.
+Doug Ashley Sounds good too! There another kind of dough which is smooth and sorts of melt in your mouth. Just as good ;D
Doug A - I like the one that’s like butter cookies but light & softer & not a flaky dough.

We normally don't blend the pineapple. we grate it like the coconut so you will see fibres of pineapples in the filling.

I think using butter would be more fragrant and believe it or not, it is better for your body as compared to margarine, because the latter is a man-made product and our bodies are unable to process it
and it taste a whole lot better, and does not leave a layer of oily coating on your tongue
She prefers the margarine but you can always substitute it for butter.
